AJAX :: The Details Are Not Being Inserted Into The SQL Table?

I am using the ajax popup for inserting some details. When you click on a Save button on the web page, a window pops up (ajax Modal popup) and once you enter the fields in the popup and click submit button in the popup, all the fields in the webpage and the popup window should be inserted into a sql table. I wrote a sql stored stored procedure for this.This is the way i did but the details are not being inserted into the SQL table.

I have an updatepanel that contains gridview which displays the records from DB. I want to create something that allows this grid to be automatically updated when a new record is inserted in the table. i don't want to use Timer control to refresh the page on set intervals. Is there any other way of accomplishing this.

I have a reports table with column report id and and report version. I created a trigger on this table to execute an application to do some processing each time a row is inserted in reports table. I need to pass the new report id execute this application from the trigger. How do I get the report id from the row that was inserted?

In oracle we can do this by using rowid.
select * from tableName where rowid = (select max(rowid) from tableName);
but i don't know equivalent of rowid in sql server.

Im upload a file using file upload control and for unique identificaton
we use system.io.file.GetCreationTime(Path).Tofilename()
In local system the file is inserted in to the table and local folder - with 18 digitnumber +filename.
But after publishing, when we run, the files are inserted into the table without the 18 digit and error occured.

I'm needing to get the selected rows, based on checkboxes, to insert into a different table than that that the gridview is formed from. I've created an innerjoin datasource to try and solve this but, still having problems finding something that works. I also need it to insert based upon a button click not inside the gridview as I believe otherwise would only hamper the situation more.

I'm thinking of using a modal pop up control that would have a details view in it. I currently have a details view that uses CSS Friendly control adapters with the CssSelectorClass attribute. Can I use the CSS friendly CssSelectorClass property with a details view in the modal pop up and style it as I'm currently doing with my Details View?

I am trying to build a program that will have 3 DetailsView side by side but I want to have an empty textbox next to each field....
I cant seem to be able to get a column in between and I don't see a way to add a column to the detailsView only a field

I wonder how to validate if a inserted item in a Combobox exists in a database during postback? If the item.text exists, a errormessage should notify the user that the item already exists in the database. If the item does not exists in the database a inserting should be done.
Should i use the customvalidator and create a servervalidationfunction that searches my databasetable for the item name?
Should i validate inside one of the two ComboBox control events, ItemInserting and ItemInserted?
After validating the existence i would like to validate if the inserting to the database was successfull.

I have a page that dynamically inserts user controls into a placeholder depending on values in a database table. The user controls consist of a label and one control (dropdownlist, radiobuttonlist, or checkbox). The controls will also have the AutoPostBack property set programmitcally depending on values in the database. My update panel is on the main page, not in the user control. I have tried the ScriptManager.RegisterPostBackControl method to register the UserControl on page load, but the page still does a post back. I think I need to register the control that is inside the UserControl, but I have no idea how to access it from the main page_load event.
This thread is the closest to what I am trying to do, but since I am inserting the user controls programmatically, I need the triggers to be registered programmatically as well. Also, I need to register
them as PostBackTrigger instead of AsyncPostBackTrigger because I need to do a full page reload because the user controls are inserted dynamically.

I have a display problem when I try to use a ajax combobox inside a tab control: when my tab control loads on the page where the combobox is, everything works fine; however, if it loads on a another page, the you change to the page which contains the combobox, the right button (which opens the list of the combobox) isn't displayed at all.

I have on a page a gridview that can be filtered with one text box. I set up the gridview to show select and wanted to then connect a details view so that when you selected a row the entire details would show up. When I run it I get this error. Data keys must be specified on GridView 'GridView1' before the selected data keys can be retrieved. Use the DataKeyNames property to specify data keys.
