I am making a class library. I want to use some of ajax control but don't know how to use ajax source code. suppose i want to use file upload control in my class library. How should i accomplish this task. I mean to say how should i refer ajax file upload sript file(.js) in my class library.

View 4 RepliesRecently, I downloaded the source code (not Binaries) of latest AJAX toolkit and introduced some changes in Calendar extender. Now, I would like to build the DLL out of it so that I can add it to my project and use it. Now, when I am trying to build DLL, it fails. It never compiles for me. Infact, I am not sure which project/application file exactly do I need to run.
Every-time, I try to open any Solution/Project, I get exceptions either for some missing files or folders. I have both VS 2005 Pro and VS 2008 Express Edition installed. I need the libraries to be compatible with Framework 3.5.

View 2 RepliesI am using following server side code to save the data from ASP.NET Control toolkit Editor to the database It follows with the HTML Code The problem is that, data is saved successfully. But it is saved twice. Main problem is this server side event is fired twice. How can i prevent it from firing twice?

I have an asp.net website with a reference to a class library. I can reference the class library in the aspx pages but how do I configure my site so that I can also reference the class library from a .cs file in app code?
View 1 RepliesI've got an ASP.NET 4 web forms application I'm building in Studio 2010. The solution has two projects. A web forms application and a class library. I have added a reference to the class libraryr project in the web forms project, but when I go a code behind page in the web forms project, it does not recognize the class from the class library and throws the "type or namespace <class> could not be found ...." error. Adding a using <class library projec> does not work either as it does not recognize that.
What am I missing?

View 2 RepliesI've been dealing with an AJAX issue for some time now and I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. When I'm debugging and stepping thru my code it will jump into disassembly looking for a toolkit file. If I fit f5 I can continue debugging, but this happens often.

I am using quite a few AJAX toolkit extenders e.g. RoudnedCorners extender, Watermark extender, etc. in my webpage. The problem is that these extendersadd a lot of script code to my webpage causing performance issue. Also, the presence of these extenders works against search engine as the actual content gets pushed down the page, thereby being risked skipped by search engines.
Is there any way where I can move these AJAX control extenders and/or their generated scripts to a different file ?
Can anyone tell me how to show alert message inside the .cs file of class library project in c#? I am calling a method of cs file in classlibrary project. Whenever the control comes to the alert message statement inside the method, alert message should be shown on the web page(aspx) and the next statement to the alert message statement should not be executed.

I'm also using the factory pattern of development, using interfaces to act as containers for different objects they are associated with. The problem I'm expreriencing is that I declared a public interface class in the class library and I can create an instance of it in in my aspx pages but whenever I declare it in my custom control code-side, i get an error, like so:
Error 20 The type or namespace name 'IContentMaker' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

I might be asking a dumb question, but I have a client for whom I need to build many websites (10+) (asp.net 3.5) which will all the pages on each site will have the same codebehind, but the sites will launching in different regions and whilst following the same template, will have different content.I have built and launched site 1, and sites 2, 3 & 4 is nearly live, but it occurs to me that as all the sites are basically the same, the code is going to get more complicated to update as it will be duplicated, so if I need to do a bug fix on one site, I'll need to do the fix on all websites (and this is going to get complicated.)
I was wondering if it possible to somehow create a class library of all the current aspx.cs files, reference this dll in each website and then inherit these classes into the .aspx.cs files. So default.aspx in each site would still have a CodeFile of "Default.aspx.cs", but Default.aspx.cs would inherit the corresponing class from the dll:

The reason for doing it like this is that if I need to change any code on a specific website (for minor changes in languages for instance), I can override the page functions and change the parts required. For all other pages which have not cha, I can just copy from a single website.Is this vaguely possible? The Ajax control toolkit tab panel automatically inserts a space by all four corners of the body. For example, go to http://www.asp.net/ajax/ajaxcontroltoolkit/Samples/Tabs/Tabs.aspx and look at the TabPanel on the page. The is a space before "Signature:" and "Bio:" labels.
