i havent uninstalled Visual studio 2010 .... for some requirements i had to repair my visual studio 2010 installation... now after repairing or reinstalling (not uninstalling and then installing, i reinstalled from the visual studio installation options) the visual studio 2010 i noticed that the asp.net Mvc template has vanished ... i tried to repair/ reinstall again but somehow it doesnt come up ... the template is not reflected into the visual studio new projects menu... as a result i am not able to load any of the mvc projects either ....
is there any possible way apart from uninstalling /repairing or reinstalling the visual studio i can get back my template again ? into my visual studio.... like wise somewhat kinda manual customization or like that ?
I have a customvalidator to validate the sum of 2 drop downs.. the validation code is working, because if the sum doesnt match my logic the page is not submitted, but if i select values that match my logic, the page is submitted.. so i know the logic is working, but the error message is not working.. and not sure why..
Some background, last week i had this working based on additional controls, but the business decided they wanted less questions on the form, so all i did was remove the controls from the validation and updated the logic to make sure it was only calculating against the existing controls. reminder that the validation is working( meaning that the page is not being submitted because it failed ) but the error message doesnt display on the page, so no one knows what is happening..
I got a view that uses the ajax.beginform tag. This works great but if I want to do some validation to the data and then return a error message to the page it doesnt work for me.Here my code :
well my problem is that when i try to include a calendar extender inside a gridview , which is inside a calendar extender, it doesnt appear correctly , here you have an image how it appears , would you mind telling me what is happening please.
my website comes from a .net 20 config and am now on 4.0
For this line: Imports AjaxControlToolkit I get this error: "namespace of type specified in the Imports 'AjaxControlToolkit"
I could remove that line, were it not that it also says this line: Private _questions As CascadingDropDownNameValue error: Type 'CascadingDropDownNameValue' is not defined.
My web.config has been upgraded, I have placed the latest ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll in my bin folder...what more can I do?
i followed this tut http://www.ajaxprojects.com/ajax/tutorialdetails.php?itemid=554 for cascading drop downs, but i changed the sql connections for my linq datasource. VS2010 is showing no errors in my code and the page loads fine too, but the two drop down lists are emptycan anyone scan there eyes over it and see if theres any reason why it shouldnt be working?my code is the same as the tuts apart from it uses LINQ instead of SQL
Using StringBuilder im building my object in code behind so its customize for our needs.. I placed a Literal control within the modalpopup and populating it when you click on a button..On my test page everything works great to display it and when fed a value video file, it plays.. on that page, it wasnt contained within a modalpopup. Now on my actual dev page that i need it on, i placed the literal control within the modalpopup, and when you click on the button, it builds the object..my modal popup comes up and everything shows up except the object which is weird, because within the stringbuilder i have 4 buttons below the object and those show up, just not the object control itself.. can a object not be built and displayed like this? What makes it weirder is that when the modal popup opens, you can view the source of the page and my entire customize object control is there, but it just doesnt render on the page..
how can i show the full blown .net exception that may occur on an ajax enabled page. i want it to show like it would if the page wasnt using ajax. This for my QA environment for which i dont have the option to temporarily disable update panel. Also i dont want javascript to handle it as our QA testers are wanting to see the usual full blown asp.net exception.
I have a textbox, with a RequiredFieldValidator and a ValidatorCalloutExtender. The calloutExtender comes up when there is no text in the textbox, but it does not display the error message from the RequiredFieldValidator. I tested this code in a test app, and it worked. It may have something to do with the content containers? These controls are inside of a web user control, which are inside a Telerik RadDock. The parent page also uses a MasterPage. Here is my code from the usercontrol which contains the validator:
I placed 2 requiredfieldvalidators in my page (well, actually, more like a dozen of them, but only these 2 behave this way) and can not seem to figure out why the error message will not be displayed. The validation function works (the processing code is not run and focus is returned to the first field that fails validation) but no error message.
I searched google and found asynchronise post back trigger is used if we want update panel to post back on some event of control if it is out side the update panel. Than what is purpose of post back trigger ?
I'm using ajax tool kit version 1.0.61214.0. My application is working fine in locally. But when i publish it to server, some pages show script error like
In my application I am using ajax updatepannel in which there is a tab container tool having 4 tabs, in the third third tab I used ajax accordian control which has 2 panel each pannel have one gridview control a Remove button. Here what I want to give delete facility to the user upon the selection of checkbox corresponding to the particular record. But when I click the button it doesnot triger the button click event of the remove button.
I have an ImageControl inside an UpdatePanel. The image changes upon a Treeview located outside of theUpdatePanel. Im using the treeview _SelectedNodeChanged in the UpdatePanel Trigger. When I run the Web Application I get an Error theMasterPage could not find the Treeview for the Trigger.
I have a Asp:modal (AJAX) that works fine on a master.page
When i then add an asp:menu with sitemapdatasource, then the page works fine first time at page load, but if i then click the btn that trigger the asp:modal i get this error
[URL] ....
What I want is that the user can write an email in a textbox on the masterpage and then hit a btn, if the email is valid 100% the event is trigged and the asp:modal is showed, its works fine when i dont have a asp:menu on the masterpage, but when i then add the menu, then the pages works, but when i will trigger the asp:modal then i get the error.
I created a MultiHandleSliderExtender on a web form. All works well with updating the two textboxes with the value. The problem is that when I switch to designer mode, I get the following error:
The code is as follows:
[Code]....
[Code]....
[Code]....
The control works and the 2 text boxes get updated, but I tried putting in an update panel with a trigger on mh_1_BoundControl but it never fired. I removed it thinking that was the cause of the error, but no luck.
Now when I add another sliderextender below it for a different value, the code throws an error:
Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Type AjaxControlToolkit.SliderOrientation has already been registered. The type may be defined multiple times or the script file that defines it may have already been loaded. A possible cause is a change of settings during a partial update.
I found this example on this site and tried implementing it but to no avail.
