A multiview with one View using a recaptcha and Modalpopup for response to a submit button within the ViewAn UpdatepanelI've spent hours and hours and hours searching around for any sort of solution that covers all of those without *some* sort of problem. If I put the menu inside, something won't work. If I put it outside, something else won't work. If I set 'conditional' or 'child-this-or-that' or whatever, *something* comes out to bite me. I am using a modal popup control which contains an UpdatePanel. There are one combo and few text boxes and Calendar control in it. When I select any item in combobox, then it's selection change event is fired and there iI set the values of other controls and finally I call update method of update panel. Functionality wise it works properly but it takes a time to update the panel.Here combobox contains around five thousands of items. But when it contains 100s of items it works good.

I have a databound listbox that is inside an update panel. When selecting an item in the listbox, I want it to populate labels in a panel that are displayed in a modalpopup. When I click on the listbox, I can see that the data is passed to the labels and the modal.Show() is executed by stepping through the code. However, the modalpopup comes up but with no data.

In my web application, i have declared modalpopup extender and corresponding div(popup control) inside master page to make it generic. In my page i am using updatepanel with a button inside it. Clicking on this button will fire the modalpopup extender. Before calling show() of modalpopup i am setting some text to a label inside the popup control. But when the popup comes, the updated text is not showing.

I have a simple form with a list of linkbuttons, each fires the same onclick event which sets an indicator image. I have a dummy button with style="display:none" which I have set as the TargetControlID of the modal.
onClick event from the imagebutton, the modal is shown via modal.Show(). The cancel button inside the modalpopup fires an event which turns off the indicator image and hides the modal via modal.Hide().
The events fire perfectly, it's very simple! Although after doing some testing I noticed the modalpopup is not presented after the 6-10th cycle of clicking the open event, then clicking cancel. The grey background appears but it is behind the main panel and the modal is either presented behind this or is just simply not displaying.
I spent hours researching various methods, implemented the CancelControlID to see if it was somehow tied to my call of modal.Hide() that fails.This occurs with an updatepanel only. The behaviour is much cleaner this way, so I would hope to be able to implement this. I have basically eliminated everything but these two events!

I am having trouble with the postbacks that are fired within my updatepanel by the linkbuttons. Here is the structure of my page: UpdatePanelMultiViewView1/View1View2RepeaterLinkButtons being generated here /Repeater/View2/MultiView/UpdatePanel. Here is my link button code

Whenever I click on any of the LinkButtons that are generated, it does a Postback in the UpdatePanel. But the OnClick function is not being called. It just does the void Page_Load() function. That's it. The controls in my other views work fine, but I'm having trouble with these controls. I think it has to do with them being generated by the Repeater.

I'm doing a website with Ajax and Framework3.5.
I have a update panel inside a modalpoupextendar which is in another update panel.
When user need to click the button in the parent update panel the modal popup will appear,
then in the popup if user click a button there I Need to show some text in a user control which placed in the panel.
See the html tag and tel me any solution. Its not working for the first click its working in the second click only.

I've got a UserControl that's used inside of an UpdatePanel. The UserControl is a fairly simple form that appears via a ModalPopupExtender (which is also part of the UserControl). There are four DropDownLists, as well as some other UI elements. Three of the four DropDownLists have AutoPostBack="true", with SelectedIndexChanged events that fire on the server and cause some of the other DropDownLists to rebind. Two of the three DDL's that AutoPostBack are working fine. One of them, which I only just added, is showing some strange behavior. Let's say I bind five Items to it: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I set the SelectedIndex to 0, which makes 1 the selected item. If I select 5 and then 1 and keep toggling back and forth, everything works fine. The postback occurs and SelectedIndexChanged fires. Every time. If I ever select 2 or 4, the postback occurs but SelectedIndexChanged does not fire. Every time.
If I ever select 3, something bizarre happens and sometimes the value of the DDL reverts to 1. Even though breakpoints seem to show that it's not rebinding and no unexpected code is running. I know your first instinct will probably be that I'm wrong about the rebinding code not running, but I have literally been staring at the debugger for hours trying to find my mistake. Lots of breakpoints. I don't get it -- this really isn't that complicated. But obviously I am missing something. I've put about four hours into this so far and I think I'm just grinding at this point. I could use another perspective.

I am using C# Multiview on a log-in/forgot user name page and I would like to avoid new windows each time I change view id inside the Multiview.Right now the page uses "window.showModalDialog" and I would like to remove the js from the page.This lead me to the PopupControlExtender. How do I use the PopupControlExtender and Multiview in combination? e.g. a radiobuttom provides the desired view index and only this view is shown in the pop-up?Did I misunderstand the purpose of the extender?

I have a form which has like 300+ Options.All is done and working fine, but i am looking to make it more attractive with use of something "Loading or Loader"..Like when user select an option from dropdown it shows the corresponding content with MultiView and Views so i want meanwhile the request complete it should show a gif message like "Please wait " and a gif with it.And similarly when user press "Save Data" button it should show the same kind of Ajax effect.

I have a web page with several databound (via their property's) user controls in a multiview in a formview.
I decided to try Ajax (Adding ScriptManager, updatepanel etc).
All works fine except for the user controls.
The controls I use to contain the usercontrol property values ((invisible) Textboxes or Hidden fields) lose their value when i change from ond multiview panel to another. (In other words: usercontrols on invisible multiview panels lose their property value's). (When I change a multiviewpanel all the property fields turn emty, when i hit the update button of the formview afterwards the emty values are propagated to the database. (resulting in loss of data)) Textbox seems to hold its value, hiddenfield loses its value (when changing from one multiview panel to another).
This seems to be a coplication of the multiview in combination with ajax.

I'm Using VS2010 c#.
I'm using Multiview control in my web page, and I'm using 3 view blocks inside the Multiview. In each view I have some text boxes with validation controls. In my 3rd view I have a submit button. If I press the submit button without enter any values in text boxes, it accept the empty value the Required validator control didn't work.
I use Only one Submit button for a all 3 views....

I have the modal popup come up for searching something. Inside the popup (panel) I have a txtbox and a search button. I enter text and hit 'search' and the results are shown in a listview within the popup. Now every row in the list view has a button "Select". I want to click on one of those buttons to select a particular value.
Now on click of the button(within the listview), I tried calling a javascript function and doing $find('mdlPopup').hide(); , which makes the popup dissappear. But somehow the debugger takes me straight to Global.asax.Application_Error() and doesn't even give me a stack trace to see wht the issue is. And over that, the popup looks dissapeared, but the rest of the controls on the page are not enabled back. Strange?
I'm assuming, that the popup doesn't close as intended and it errored out (which took me to Global.asax.Application_Error() ), and is not enabling the rest of the controls in the page.So my question is, how do I assign multiple buttons in a listview to the okbutton (or cancelbutton) of a modalpopup extender?

i am using a TabContainer and at each TabPanel i have embed an UpdatePanel in order to update each tab alone.
this is my code:

the problem is that it makes several seconds to update each tab (the same time for every tab) and i asume that this is happening because it updates all the TabContainer and not the selected Tab.

I have a page with an UpdatePanel in wich I load the menu selected Layout pages, and the layouts loads its contents dynamically.
It works fine, but when I load a Layout that has an Multiview control, the code behind of the Layout don't come in into the if(!Page.IsPostBack), ok, I fixed it with if(multiview.ActiveViewIndex==-1) multiview.setactiveview("viewName").
In the Multiview I have a ListView, in the listview I have Linkbuttons that opens another view and shows the information of the specified row dynamically.
when I click in the link so the page disappear from the update panel... why? I do not a full postback of the page, so I think I don't need to reload that page on the update panel... Right?

I have two updatepanels on my site (upanProfileSearch and upanMemberList). When I hit the button in the upanProfileSearch it should bind the Data Items in the gridview in upanMemberList and here make a RowFilter on the text in upanProfileSearch. When I make a run to curser, I can see, it happens. It makes a RowFilter. but it doesn't update the gridview. Can anyone tell me why it doesn't update? I have UpdateMode="Always" and RenderMode="inline" on both UpdatePanels.

I have a dropdownlist, that causes a postback. On the SelectedIndexChanged event, is it possible to force a placeholder that is within a different UpdatePanel to change it's visibility?
For example, when the SelectedItem.Value of DropDownList1 is "1" then show Placeholder1, otherwise hide it.
What I am most interested in is how to configure the UpdatePanels to allow this.

I have a web user control with one updatepanel (pnlUpdate_2), some controls and one apply button. I display the web user control as a modalpopup in my default page. In my default page i have an updatepanel (pnlUpdate_1) with a gridview and I modify that gridview with the apply button of the web user control. The web user control is for made a custom search of the gridview data. I have a problem with both updatepanels. If I set the updatemode as always in one of them (pnlUpdate_1) and the other as conditional (pnlUpdate_2), the pnlUpdate_1 make a postback in the pnlUpdate_2; I'm not an expert on this but I think that's why the pnlUpdate_2 disappear and reappear after postback of some controls in that updatepanel (not the apply button, it close the modal after postback). I try all the combinations and the problem persists. So I put both updatepanels as conditional and in some way it works; now the problem is that when I click the apply button in pnlUpdate_2 to modify the gridview in pnlUpdate_1 the pnlUpdate_1 not made the postback I get the pnlUpdate_2 postback when I use some control inside the pnlUpdate_1.
How can I postback the pnlUpdate1 from pnlUpdate_2 with the apply button?

I have a page.. which im trying to implement a gridview that allows you to select from it, it will open a modalpopup with a list of records linked to the selection.. now within that popup, you can pick a individual record so you can see full details..So my question is, can you have multiple modalpopup's open at the same time? If not then is there anyway to reopen the first popup with the list again so that you can pick another record
