I need to install in the Server or settings in the IIS to recognize my MS-Access db is it some office runtime that I am missing. (BTW I am using OLEDB connection string in my C# )
Using System.Data.OleDb;
I can retrieve data off of it with no problem but when I try to insert is when it fails I thought the problem was Access Rights but I do not think is the case.

I want to be able to use a file upload control to "post" a replacement file back to a "write" handler, updating the database. Then I can refresh my image using javascript to the original "read" handler. Is this possible?
I currently have a standard postback model upload process which puts the image into the database and a custom handler to read it back. What I want to know, is can you create a custom http handler to perform the upload so I could asynchronously call the upload handler then refresh the image src to pull it back from the database. At the moment I am using the IFrame approach to make it appear asynchronous, I just want to know the best practice really

I want to retrieve the image and display in an image control. I am kinda new to ASP and what seemed so simple has suddenly become a real problem.
The at the botom is how I would do it on a winform. Unfortunately I have no picturebox control in .asp. So how do I get the image stream into image1.imageurl?
Is there a way to put the stream into a session variable and then point to that as a url?
for instance replacing the last line below with this and then pointo to it from image1.imageurl?

Jan 11, 2010ok i have my GUI installed on the server which has users as administrator as the role of an administrators and user1 which has the role of the guest...I have one project and there are different pages for administrators and guests... when the login screen comes up and the administrator logs in he should be redirected to the admin.aspx page and for user1 he should be redirected to the guest.aspx page.
Now the scenario is i have 10 users in a company and one administrator. This GUI is on the network server and these 10 users are able to access it as guests.
How do the guest user logs in and can access the SQl database in the read only mode but when the administrator user logs in he can access the database in the read and write mode.?? I dont know how to do this really... any suggestions
(by IIS server or webconfig or some setting in SQL server)
and the previous question is what to use (forms or windows authentication) where can i get information on how to set up this kind of authentication???? Is there the need to use impersonation also??

I tried the code from this article. And I got the same mistake " the parameter is not valid ". Maybe I'm not aware of something, some setting in sql server or webconfig or sth else. Anyone else who has experience from fetching images from database? The parameter is not valid is the error message. db table contains data. What am I doing wrong?
