i have a sql server store procedure which return json data. i want to get this data without .net framwork or php or any other server side language..
So how make this possible to get json data of sql server query through any client scripting language like jquery ajax method.
Actually I have a gridview with many rows and I want to insert the all rows in sql server through one store procedure first row can inserted but what should we do for other rows
View 3 RepliesI have a large dataset (35,000+ rows) that I need to export to excel and then let the user download. I have done this the conventional way (with a gridview), but the data has grown, causing a OutOfMemoryException on the web server.
So I thought, would it not be better if I can export the data into excel on the sql server, and then transfer this data to the web server.
Note that this is not a one-off job. This will be ran regularly (twice a month), but the user. Hence I need something that the user can initiate.
Is it possible to call stored procedure in the web.config? I created the additional ID field in aspnet_membership, adding Stored procedure which stores additional information. This information I have entered in the web.config. Is it possible to call a Stored procedure in the web.config and write this information, or call the Stored procedure in C #?

Then when I run this, I get an error that the server timed out. Without calling this function to reference the stored procedure, the application runs well, users can log in/create accounts, etc. But something in the function and/or the stored procedure is timing out.
We have a GUI which runs on ASP.NET 2.0 framework (Client-Server model). From the support perspective how can one find whether the pages which are opening on GUI at any point of time is a server side scripting or Client side scripting.
The reason why I ask this is because I understand that some of the codes are executed by the browser such as Javascript. So, if there are such scripts which are handled by the client browser, how can one find out that it is the Client side scripting which is running at that moment.
I had a little problem with the value that one of my SPs returns. In my SP, I create some temporary tables to store certain data from multiple tables and contains some queries for an advanced calculationBut precisely yesterday, the value that the SP returns was incorrect. I tried to look at the SP and the data again and everything was OK, but not the result from the SP.And what the heck!!..today the value is totally right ...I truly have no idea what's wrong with the SP..Is there anyone knows what the root of cause is?

You know how you can have separate PHP files, and then call the functions inside of then within the HTML page using the onclick="" of a button? Well, I have a C# and C++ program on my computer (where the server is located), and would like to know if I can somehow send a command from my html page to my C# or C++ program which will then execute a function, and return a result. Here's a scenario: User visits [URL] User clicks the 'Create some files' button on the webpage Webpage sends command to C# application on my computer/webserver C# application creates a bunch of empty files C# application sends back filenames of the generated files to the webpage the webpage then displays a list of the filenames that were generated byb the C# application. Can somebody please guide me in the right direction?

I could not understand why this is not possible.( I read about Httponly and all that stuff but still not clear).If I use Javascript in code behind page then I am able to change the value.e.g.

But I could not use this type of code because there is response.redirect statement in the function where I am updating cookie using (response.cookie) and that's why the javascript code never runs.

I have a .Net Webservice(2.0 framework) and I am trying to call this service from SQL
server 2005 using CLR.
I have created assamblies on server and trying to call the we service through CLR, but I'm getting below error:

I have written the above trigger,which would update the value for the corresponding records in another table ie) LeaveCumulative table. The trigger is not updating the value in the designated rows in the leavecumulative table. Whereas when I excute the same update command separately in the Query Editor window the trigger is working fine.
