Cannot Create An Instance Of A COM Component On A Server Side

I'm trying to use MS IME on a server to retrieve some Japanese info in a silverlight app. The app accesses to the server by using WCF, but when calling a CoCreateInstance to create a IFELanguage2, it gives me -2147467262. The same code I'm using on the server actually works pretty fine on a WPF app.

On the client I want to instantiate an instance of an entity (that has a datacontract on the server side), send it to the server, let the server modify it in some way, and send it back. I'm talking about using standard-issue, ordinary WCF objects with DataContract/DataMember attributes.
The only way I could figure out to accomplish the above is to pass the object by reference. Is there another way?
In researching this, I found the links below, one of which says it is not possible to pass by ref (yes I realize we are passing a copy, but it is the result I'm interested in. Perhaps that is what the author is alluding to??).
Sorry for having to ask this but I'm confused (again).

I Have written code to create instance of an AUTOCAD application.

I have a question regading sql name instance ???
When ever i create new instance in sql server 2005 , it use to create the new instance along with my PC name.
For Eg :
My PC Name is Web and New instance name is Busiwork it use to create like WebBusiwork. But i need just the sql instance name of my server as Busiwork.

I have created a webservice to populate bookmark fields in a word document with values passed out from an adobe flex app. The document is based on a .dot template that is held on a share on the server. The aspnet user has read access to the share If i run the asmx on my local machine, it all works fine. If i run the asmx when deployed to the webserver I get an error "cannot create activex component" returned. I have set impersonate = true in the web.config on the webservice that is deployed on the server. The code for the webservice itself is very simple:

I have also checked that the microsoft.office.interop.word is in the gac on the server (i am using office 2003). I really don't understand what the issue is, obviously for the application to go live the webservice will have to be deployed to the server and I am happily calling other webservices that exist on the server from my flex application with no issues.

HOWTO create ASP.NET C# controls on server side for posted data that had no runat=server on the client.
I have processes needing to post files to a ASP.NET application. These processes must post without runat=server as such:

On the ASP.NET page, in the Page_Load I would code somethign like this:

Here is the trick, the control "fileLIST_FILE" does not exist because the HTML does not have runat=server on it.
If the client did have runat=server the designer.cs would have somethign liek this:
System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlInputFile fileLIST_FILE;
With all that said, I want to make "fileLIST_FILE" on the fly inside Page_Load fromt he posted name of "MY_FILE".
do not focus on the fact that this is a file upload. I would like to know how to do this for any posted FORM data.

I need to create a .pdf file which can download by client clicking on the link in my web site. That pdf should be generated using stored information in database. It has different types of fonts which has not installed in client machine and only installed in web server. In this case, I'm not interesting to use crystal report or any other third party components that need to register to use and has some limitations.
How can I do that using ASP.NET with C#?

Is it possible to use AJAX and an update panel and create server-side controls such as checkboxes, buttons, and radio buttons (asp server side) that is created when another server-side control (that which exists outside the update panel) calls them?
secondly, how do you keep them from re-appearing after a postback?
When I do a postback, the controls in the update panel disappear.

I've created a ScriptService / ScriptMethod that uses a custom class as an input parameter but can't figure out how to create an instance of the object on the client side.I thought that when I used ScriptManager and Ajax before the ScriptManager registered my server side classes for me or am I completely mistaken?

I am trying to create a table dynamically in my code behind. My problem is I have a count of how many controls I want added to each TableRow after which I want to add that TableRow to the table and then start a new row. Here is the code I have no far but it just adds one row and does not move any of the controls to a seperate new row.

Quick question here. I'm sure it's possilbe, just can't get it to work.
I've got a gridview. In have a gridview. The gridview is bound to a list of my custom class. The class exposes a link to an image as well as the image's height and width. I have a Image Control in the gridview. I've bound the Image Url to the correct property. Now, I'd like to bind the height and width properties as well. But everytime I do that I get the following error:
Cannot create an object of type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.Unit' from its string representation '"<%#Bind("GetImageHeight()")%' for the 'Height' property.
Here is an example of the tag:

I have been working on an asp.net web application that calls a third party COM application through createObject method. The application works fine (gets initialized) in Win XP but I am having problems getting it to work in WIndows 2003. I get the "Cannot create ActiveX component" error.
The website works fine in visual studio - the application launches fine. The references added were the interop assemblies which were packed inside a tlb file.
I am aware of the change in default user - ASPNET for iis 5 and Network Service for IIS 6.0. Also I have changed the default permission levels in DCOM config for not just this COM application but all the COM applications by changing the default COM security properties of the computer. I gave almost every user the permissionto launch and access remotely including Network service and everyone.
The other thing I have done was to test it out in IIS 5.0 isolation mode but couldn't get the application work - still same error.
The final thing I have tried was to use IIS 6.0 itself but change the application pool to local system and I am just stumped that even this didn't resolve the error.
Another thing to add is that I cannot register the tlb file using regsvr32.exe command as it is not a dll.

ie: I created one Queue ( Private queue ) using MSMQ so the watcher Component will listen the Queue is there any msg if any message available on that Queue.
I have to do some process ie: pass that msg to Business Layer for further manipulation and keep on watch the queue for any other message.

when I run this code it show error "The component 'MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP' cannot be created. Apartment threaded components can only be created on pages with an <%@ Page aspcompat=true %> page directive."
I have done this change on my View(.aspx) and set AspCompat="true". But still Error is same.

I have searched everywhere and can't find a great solution. All I want to do is have about 40 extra fields that save to a SQL database when creating a new user. Will also need to keep the functionality of roles so I don't want to completely override the built in functions.
I have seen the ability to put the data into a profile, but as I understand that will not save to the database in a form that I could join/select against.
There's the ability to tie onto the end of the CreateUserWizard1_CreatedUser, but then it's an extra select/insert into a separate table. Would be nice if I could keep everything in 1 function and in 1 table.
So what is the best way to add a bunch of extra fields into the database when creating a new user?

I am trying to stop the data flow when certain conditions happen in the script component. Like if a row in the data set has an invalid date, I dont want that dataset to be inserted in the tables or go through OLEDB Destination, rather I want the entire data flow for that dataset to stop and go back to the control flow page.
I have tried mulitple solutions but nothing worked. Conditional Split ends up inserting the correct rows, but I just dont want anyting to be inserted when one row is bad, where as I do want the entire dataset to be inserted if all rows are good.
How can I fail the component when certain conditions happen int eh script component.
