I want to export Asp.Panel content(text, GridViews) with CSS to PDF from C#.NET. I am using iTextSharp and RenderControl with Asp.Panel, but CSS is not rendered in PDF.
How can I solve this problem (with iTextSharp (if is possible) or in another way) ?
When converting an aspx page to pdf using itextsharp external css is not working.I dont want to create tables for exporting to PDf as its a complex design .I am able to generate the pdf but css is not getting applied. I am using the latest relese of itextsharp.dll.

In your tutorial you mention that you modified the iTextSharp Library DLL so the gridview would be rendered with all the background colors. How to modify that DLL. I really want my gridviews to all go to pdfs with pretty formatting, but can't figure out how or what to change?

I want to export the table and all the data to a file outside the db. Then I want to detach this db, attach a different db with the same table, and reimport the table data from the file.

I know placing all your styles in a CSS file is the best thing to do as it is a lot neater.
But does it REALLY matter if the styles are inline or in a CSS?

My plan is to just place the styles in my MasterPage and all other pages will use the MasterPage....I believe the correct term is not "INLINE" but Embedded?

Is there any way to assign styles(like width, position,top etc..) to Input type=file element alone.One way i can see, is using Jquery document.ready eventhandler,

- I need the header of the excel with font bold and size should be 14px of font.
- Other Cell try should be 12px of the font
- Right align the particular column in the excel
I am creating an ASP.net website where some articles can be uploaded. I need that my users can get PDF version of it by clicking on a button. For this functionality I am using itextSharp. I am considering the following two options.
1. I will create the PDF file once(on first request) and reuse it always by checking for the existence of it.
2. I will create it on the fly and delete it as soon as the PDF file is delivered to the client. The first approach will lead to faster PDF delivery where as the second approach will lead to saving space.
I am also wondering if this can be possible without saving the PDF on the server in the first place.

I am generating a pdf file in asp.net c# using itextsharp. i am not able to draw a horizontal line/verticle line/dotted line.
i tried to draw a line using the following code,i am getting no errors but the line is also not getting displayed in the pdf file

What is the problem in the code.Is it because of the position of x y co-ordinates? I had used rough points to know approximate position in pdf,but the line never apears in the pdf file.

I use ITextSharp library to convert html to pdf. My users use persian language sentence in her/his html files, So this library can't convert persian word.

I tried to export a grid view to pdf using iTextSharp. When i build the program it does not leave me any exception.But when i tried to run the program and click on "Export to PDF" button, it leaves me with an following exception saying

That file is in that directory on both my dev machine and the server. When i run this on my dev machine it works fine, when published to my server I get an error saying FREE3OF9.TTF is not found as a file or a resource. I have double and triple checked that the file is in fact there on my server. My application has full trust on IIS. and IIS user has full access to this folder and this file.And still I get this error. Very frustrating. This code is Not inside the Web Application but inside a DLL class library that the web application is referencing. Do I need to add any more special permissions or something?
Here is what I need to to. I have a gridview which I have a column that has a link to a pdf file on our file server. When I click the link I need to go into a database and update a column that they clicked the link then I need to open the file. by usinga HyperLinkField I am able to put in the link that I want to go to and when the page is running I can click on the link and it goes to the page and everything works fine except for being able to update the database part.

I tried using a ButtonField where in the code behind in the GridView1_RowCommand I pull out the file path and put it into a response write statement the problem I'm having with it is that when it opens the file it removes all the ""s so I get the error file cannot be found.
I have a web application which can display the statistics chart (.png format) to the web page. The chars are generated automatically every day by another application.
If I move the charts (all are in the server) into my web application domain, I can display them without problem. If I reference those charts directly without moving to my web application domain, "the file can not be found" error occur. The following 2 statements, the first one work, the second one has problem.
