i have a gridview in my asp.net web page am having a Textbox and a button in a gridview column.i have load some data into the gridview textbox by click the button.i have more then 25 rows in my gridview.i need to place the correct data into the textbox how can i get the row index by button click in column.

I have a page with some search fields, and a grid that displays the search results after clicking the 'search' button.I've placed the search fields in one accordion pane and the result grid in a second pane and the accordion works.But what I'm trying to achieve is that after clicking the search button, the results pane becomes the active pane so that you see only the results and not the search fields.But somehow the SelectedIndex is completely ignored. If I set the index for example to 25 still nothing happens, even though I only have 2 panes.I've also tried to use javascript, but I keep getting null reference errors.The search button is wrapped in an UpdatePanel, and the results grid is wrapped in another UpdatePanel, I think that may cause the problem, because if I created a page with an accordion and 2 panes, the second pane becomes active after clicking on a button

I got a function to load a grid view and works fine. Then, I got a button, when click, I wanted to add a new row into the grid, what I did is I add a new to to the dataset and rebind the dataset to the grid view.
The problem I faced is that is it able to add a new row, but it only shows ONE column only, which is the most left column.

im now created a function where i can import excel file to be displayed in gridview and then insert the data from gridview into database.
It is running smoothly until i copied the page into another file. Suddenly, when i try to display the gridview, it does not appear.
I've try copied everything exactly the same like the original one, but still failed.
Does anyone have experience like this before?

View 6 RepliesI am developing an application using Sharepoint Designer.I need to retrieve data from a database for display on the screen.The way I am hoping to implement this is to have a Text box from which data is taken and at the click of a button passed to the procedure (which is within script tags) which calls a stored procedure passing it the value entered in the text box.The problem I've having is that the gridview is not displaying anything (i.e. other than text i entered in the EmptyText property of the gridview ("There are no records").

1) User ID (saved in DB table)
2) Website (saved in DB table)
3) Type (saved in DB table)
4) 'View' Button
Websites are in form: [URL] ....
Type are: 1) external, 2) Fixed
When I click the 'View' button in gridview, then for Type=external, page should redirect to websites [URL] ... on button click. How to achieve this through C#.

I have made the "Auto generate select button - True" in gridview. On the click of the select button i want the image to be displayed in "Image" control and also the other details other than image to be diaplayed in textbox. I can get other details in textbox but cannot get image in "Image" control.

I am new to ASP.NET and have made a register page, 'get' which on submitting redirects to another page 'pick1' displaying the data in Gridview. In each row of the Gridview there are 'View' buttons which on clicking opens a pop-up page having 2 buttons 'send mail' and 'cancel'. On clicking 'send Mail' button, i want selected row of data to be sent by email instead of the entire gridview. Right now only the entire gridview data is coming to my mail. Also i want to attach a link to the email so that it redirects to the 'pick1' page again on clicking in email. How can I do it?
