I have page (inheriting from master page) in which I have a dynamic Grid view (columns are not defined at design time), but gird is binded from xml at run time.
From code behind, I am adding a LinkButton into a single column in Gridview as

But when I click on the link button, it does a post back, but the Click Handler is not called? Also in the same page i have an asp:button, from javascript I am doing document.getElementByID('someid').click(), this also causes a postback but the button click handler on server is not invoked?

On grid RowDataBound based on some condition i've added imagebutton dynamically. parallelly i want to add event for this button click. here is my code snippet.

That message popup box comes, but i'm unable to catch that click event. while click on a row i want to delete that row, so want to create event dynamically. for that i've used this following dynamic click event

but this above code also not working.

How to read values of asp: table in grid view after binding.
I want to get values one by one in label in for loop and read values of table row one by one.
Like if i put check box in gridview and the row which is selected , i want to read value that asp:table in gridview.
How I bind grid, code attached.

I'm creating a GridView in code. I can successfully attach handlers for Editing, and CancelEditing. RowUpdating never runs, however. Instead, if the GridView is in a Panel, the Edit handler is called when Update is clicked (and this is the command name I get back on the Update click, too). If the GridView is not in a panel, then the Cancel handler is called when Update is clicked (again, this is the command name I get back from clicking Update). I've searched high and low for a reason why the RowUpdating event is not getting called, and I can't find one. Does anyone out there haveHere is my code (My actual code is much more involved than this, but for testing purposes, I extracted the following code and stuck it in a new project to isolate my problem):

im creating dynamic buttons on page load and on the click event of button1 handlere iam creating more buttons this is going fine but on click event of button 2 work is not done so how to maintain a chain of creation of button on click events

I've created a number of identical controls in a varying number depending on how many employees are under a supervisor. What I am trying to do now is to see which set of controls are checked via a checkbox and return a value from the label field in that particular set. Here is my code:

What I am trying to grab in particualr is the PayRoll Label. I've named sequentially as "lblPayRoll" + the counter. Which from what I think I should be able to do is get the total count of my array and from then loop through the controls and grab the label data.
Problem is that I can get the data, but it disappears after I click the button to grab it. I think I am saving everything to the viewstate, but they just disappear.

I am trying to create a custom GridView with a header toolbar at the top that will contain icons to export the grid view to different formats like excel, word, etc.. The problem is, I cannot get the method to fire that is assigned to handle the click event for the corresponding Image Button. The page posts back, but the code I have in the method to handle the click event does not fire. I have followed examples in other posts and from what I can tell I have followed what others have done. Can somebody take a look at see if they can find something that I am doing wrong.

I work with dynamic webuser controls. Depending on a choice in a dropdownlist, I load the webuser controls from my database. In the Page_Load event, I load the controls. When the controls are loaded and a button is pressed, the values that are filled in,in the webuser controls' textboxes, must be saved in the database. when I click the button, the values of the textboxes are empty again. I got a function to load a grid view and works fine. Then, I got a button, when click, I wanted to add a new row into the grid, what I did is I add a new to to the dataset and rebind the dataset to the grid view.
The problem I faced is that is it able to add a new row, but it only shows ONE column only, which is the most left column.

im now created a function where i can import excel file to be displayed in gridview and then insert the data from gridview into database.
It is running smoothly until i copied the page into another file. Suddenly, when i try to display the gridview, it does not appear.
I've try copied everything exactly the same like the original one, but still failed.
Does anyone have experience like this before?

I am developing an application using Sharepoint Designer.I need to retrieve data from a database for display on the screen.The way I am hoping to implement this is to have a Text box from which data is taken and at the click of a button passed to the procedure (which is within script tags) which calls a stored procedure passing it the value entered in the text box.The problem I've having is that the gridview is not displaying anything (i.e. other than text i entered in the EmptyText property of the gridview ("There are no records").

This event handler is not responding at all to the click event. On click, the pagination numbers disappear and I'm not able to trace it in the debugger because the event handle doesn't even fire so I have no idea what's going on.
