Well I'm not familiar with SP's yet, and I can't find a single example of what I want to do. basically I want to retrieve the town & county where the customers id are equal (note there will only ever be 1 result)
I can't figure out how to address the results to be stored within the output variables.
I am trying to get the results of the variables from a stored procedure to write out somewhere so I can see what values are being passed through for each variable in a button click. Does anyone know how to do that. Here is my code for the button click:

Here is my variables in the stored procedure. The first is the select statement and then the update:
To write a join query with or condition. It means a query has two inner join, here it is possible to fetch the records, if one inner join is true and other is false. I got a record when only two join conditions are true.

I am receiving the following error: Cannot find either column "Request" or the user-defined function or aggregate "Request.UserHostAddress.ToString", or the name is ambiguous.
Is it possible to do this? Should I try to access this information another way?
i query a database for retreiving all the columns. I will probably have many rows. Im trying to output the query results into an html table. This is what i have so far:

i have two queries they are: query1: select CustID,NoOfChits from tblCust1 where [Group]='A' and CustID='a001' query2: select count(TKCustID) as Taken from tblAuctionGroup where [Group]='A' and TKCustID='a001'
Results of 1st query was: ---------- CustID NoOfChits a001 2
Results of 2nd query was: ---------- Taken 4
But i want to like below: -------------------------- CustID NoOfChits Taken a001 2 4
in the above queries, 1st query displayed two columns and 2nd query displayed one column. but i would like to append the both results in single table or single record, i mean all results should be in same row in same result.
my stored procedure is always extract some data into temp table such as"select name,address,content into #TEMP1 from table1,table2,table3" finally, select another table together with #TEMP1 to extract all desire data from one queryselect T.name,T.address,T.content,C.other from #TEMP1 T, otherTable C where T.ID=C.IDI would like to ask if i want to join one more table T2 into final query with "otherTable left C outer join on C.ID=T2.ID"
i have a form that my i use to look up whether or not there is an email address in the database. i wrote a query with this basic structure:
select *
from table A, table B
where table A.email = "email" or table b = "email"
i though that would return all instances that the email occurred in either table. what i am getting back is a bunch of null or other unrelated records from table A with a matching email in table B. the thing is, these two tables primary key to join them. i thought i wouldnt need to do that though in this case.

I know I'm missing something here but I can't figure out what it is. I've got a query joining three tables....accounts, payments, and a table linking the two (there is a M:M relationship).I'm trying to pull a list of all accounts in the account table that have a payment that needs to be resequenced, and also the maximum payment priority if there are any payments that haven't been fully paid. If all payments HAVE been fully paid, I want to return a 0.
It's that last bit of logic that I can't get right. If I include that in the where clause, I get only the accounts that have a payment that hasn't been fully paid. If I take it out, I get all the accounts I get, but I get the highest payment priority whether or not the payment has been fully met.
Here is the query....how do I include the where clause criteria but still include all accounts?
i hav declare a Variable in stored procedure as@Total numeric(18,2) output..@Total Value is calculated 177.12 in stored procedure but when i return in Class.cs..its output is 177..
I have stored procedure that increments a number. I am supposed to use the newly generated number and insert it into a table. My question is how do I execute the stored procedure, with a hardcoded value of 3 that it expects as a paramter, receive the number it generates as the output parameter and use it in the insert statement.
Here is the stored procedure code:

I have a stored procedure which returns a value to state if the userlogin is valid. but i want to return the data and store it in a data session as i will require the user details in the checkout page.
is it best to get individual parameters out of the stored procedure then assign the variables to a datatable which is then assigned to session Or how can i get all the details returned from the stored procedure for the table? not sure which would be the most effective solution?
I have a SQL server job that executes msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail procedure and sends an email. I have specified the query and the query results appear in the body of the email as expected. All i need to know is how to remove the dashes beneath the column names. For instance, when I receive the email with the query results, they look like the following
UserId UserName
1 Rob 2 Paul
How do I remove those dashes underneath the column names?
i have a "Users today" function that i am trying to work on, i have all the tables set up, and a TimeStamp column, i would like to know how i could get all the users that appeared, but for that day only.
So i used the select statement, but then when i tried to add into query, filtering, i tried using the DateTime.Now, but it only got the users specific to that date, hour, and second.
For context: First of all, I am new to LINQ, as I have been using SubSonic for quite some time now.
I have two tables, Users, and Affiliates. They both have a very typical schema. The FK that joins them is the UserId field, which is in the Affiliates table. I want to create a LINQ query that pulls the Username from the Users table using the AffiliateId value. The AffiliateId is a primary key of the Affiliates table.
I have tried to accomplish this using many variations of the following code:

In the above query, I expect to get a single row result set. However, I instead receive the entire table of results.
How can I make this work? I have yet to see an example or article out there to do what I am trying to do.
I have created the tables and the stored procedures in SQL 2008.
In VS 2008, I created DataSet1.xsd in App_Code and created the connectionString in web.config file.
Then when I go into the DataSet1.xsd and try to add a TableAdapter, strange things happened.
First I chose the data connection, then selected "Use existing stored procedure", then there was nothing listed in the dropdownlists (in Select, Insert, Update, or Delete).
I'm sure the connectionString is correct because if I choose "Use SQL statement" and type in a "select * from mytable1", the TableAdapter can be created without any problem.
I'm trying to pass the text value of a text box as a query string value to a stored procedure. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Button Code:

I'm sure i've got this entirely backwards. However if I change the NULL value in the stored procedure with some string value (eg."Donkeys") it pulls all the values that contain "Donkeys" into the datalist on my results page.
basically i have two dropdown boxes to filter data and textbox with stored procedure bound to gridview.i want to be able to query data depending on the selected value passed,either using one or more parameter values.
i would like seperate sqlcommands to chose from depending on which controls i select to pass parameters.
i have included a parameter Select(control id) as this is declared by the wizard for stored procedure.
but i am not sure how it is defined on the page and passed to procedure.
