I have basic understanding to cache webpages for duration. Now I have some complex requirements:
1. User e.g "Nauna" login in asp application 2. Visit on report page 3. Pass data range from 01-01-2013 to 30-12-2013 and extract the report which retreive data in 55 seconds on gridview 4. Now I want that when next time user "Nauna" login in the application and use the same report with same parameter 01-01-2013 to 30-12-2013 so that report should be come up from cache instead of run the complete life cycle.
Tag TableName FieldNameabc wc s_namelbl wc s_deslb2 wc s_prodin above fieldname(s_name,s_des,s_prod) column represent field in wc table. How can i bring this result. is this possible without using cursor. i was struggling past two days. i cant able to bring result for above.
How can I do this? I want to display result even if one value is just present. I've tried messing with the logical operators but still can't get it. Here is my SelectCommand.
I have the following code which writes to a Gridview:
[Code]....
Using the same methods of connecting to the database, how can I amend this code to write the result of a second query (which only returns a number) to a label?
I have one sproc with Dynamic Temp Table. Sproc returns dynamic temp table rows and when I drag and drop the sporc on to Linq to Sql Designer I am not getting Return Type as "(Auto-generated Type).
I'm creating a user control that enables users to search AD and add the selected names to a list (which is used to send mail lateron).
The problem is that the search results end up in the Listbox but all as the string "System.DirectoryServices.ResultPropertyValueCollection" in stead of the actual values.
I have a table that contains a date column along with others. I need to extract two sets of data from this table for two different time periods. Call them Current and Previous, so that I can compare them line for line. There are exactly the same number of days in both time periods.
The problem is that I need to return the data like this:
I'm programming a webpage in ASP.NET which displays a list of students not listed as participants in something, and upon clicking a student name shows you a brief summary of their details, so the user can ensure they're selecting the right person. Each student is identified by a unique ID.
My code currently correctly obtains their ID, adds it as a parameter to my stored procedure and executes the procedure;
[Code]....
However, when I try to access the results, with say dv.Table.Rows[0], I get the following error:
[Code]....
Upon debugging, there don't seem to be any results returned... when running just the stored procedure in SQL Server with the same data, it does return a single row, as expected.
I am bulding a dvd catalog and have a table called DVD which holds all my details about each dvd except Genre, Director and Actor as I want more than 1 Genre, Director, Actor per DVD so put these in seperate tables to avoid repeating the data and used a joining tabe to join the tables so the tables I have are
DVD, Genre, Director, Actor, DVDGenre, DVDDirector and DVDActor
I have now written a stored procedure to pull the info about 1 DVD out of all the tables to display on the webpage I have now got the info I want out of the tables but as the data is now in 1 table I have repeating data is there a way to stop the data repeating the stored procedure i have written is
Just after some advice I have a stored procedure that returns several tables. I then need to loop through the tables and create dynamic gridviews using the data. At the moment this stored proc is called using
[Code]....
I have used an xsd file to populate everthing else, but due to this returning multiple tables i wasn't sure how this works should it just be in its own xsd? as all the oather i just get a datatable where as with this i need a dataset... how this makes sense...
Im using SQL Server 2005 and im using stored procedures. Is this possible? i need to get a number of results and do it in one SELECT statement or just one result set. Im using MS Chart Controls for reporting and they cant seem to process multiple result sets this is my problem, so basically to run a barchart i need to assign a column to the X axis and a column to the Y axis and it will then display my results.
My stored procedure below returns a result set with columns subpolicy_name, building_name, floor_name, room_name and total_savings. Im just wondering is it possible to split my total_savings column into 4 columns, for example subpolicy_savings, building_savings, floor_savings and room_savings, i need everything in a separate column. If you run this stored procedure you will see the result set.
i have a form that my i use to look up whether or not there is an email address in the database. i wrote a query with this basic structure:
select *
from table A, table B
where table A.email = "email" or table b = "email"
i though that would return all instances that the email occurred in either table. what i am getting back is a bunch of null or other unrelated records from table A with a matching email in table B. the thing is, these two tables primary key to join them. i thought i wouldnt need to do that though in this case.
here is the actually query i am using if it makes things more clear:
I'm trying to achieve an outer join in LINQ but I'm not getting my desired result. There are two relational tables between Fruit_Name and Fruit_Ripe.The Fruit_Ripe table has a boolean field (IsRipe) that I use in my condition. The condition let me show all fruits that is not yet rippen (false) or fruits that isn't inputted yet in Fruit_Ripe table.
Dim fruit_salad = From myFruit In _DataContext.Fruit_Name Group Join myRipeFruit In _DataContext.Fruit_Ripe On myFruit.fId Equals myRipeFruit.fId Into Group From fruitty In Group.Where(Function(d) Not d.isRipe =
I am using a sql stored procedure which returns multiple result sets. By default Sql Datasource is binding the first result set to gridview. I want the second result set to be binded. I browsed all the properties in Sql datasource but could not find one to set this.
in the selected event it seems even though e.TotalRowCount really is the total row count, when I cast e.Result to a type in order to access the actual data only the current page of data is there? not all.
items only has the 15 records for the current gridView page, not all the records, is this normal? If I need to access all the items in the result do I need to stick with the selecting event instead?
I have few textboxes and I want to search the text (partial search is also required) in the database and then show the result in a telerik grid. The grid has to be hidden initially and when I click the search button it should show up and display the results.
I have this ListView that has a Drop Down List.Everything works fine (I think/hope) except that the drop down list are not showing its result correctly. This is the code.
Front-End [Code]....
The code behind consist of the page_load and the ItemDataBound [Code]....
