DataSource Controls :: Script To Clean Up HTML Text?
Jun 10, 2010
I got a column which contains html content. The problem is, the content is not properly formatted. Meaning they consist of a big bulk of text, but without <p> or line break or proper <li>. Can anyone think of a quick way to write a script to tidy it up? I can't go through each and edit as there are like five thousands rows of them...
I am attempting to replace this god awful collection of regular expressions that is currently used to clean up blocks of poorly formed HTML and stumbled upon the HTML Agility Pack for C#. It looks very powerful but yet, I couldn't find an example of how I want to use the pack which, in my mind, would be a desired functionality included in it. I am sure I am an idiot and cannot find a suitable method in the documentation. I had the following html:
<p class="someclass"> <font size="3"> <font face="Times New Roman">[code]....
When I utilize the HtmlNode.Remove() method it removes the node plus all it's children. Is there a way to remove the node preserving the children?
My C# site allows users to submit HTML to be displayed on the site. I would like to limit the tags and attributes allowed for the HTML, but am unable to figure out how to do this in .net.
I've tried using Html Agility Pack, but I don't see how to modify the HTML, I can see how to go through the HTML and find certain data, but actually generating an output file is baffling me.
Does anyone have a good example for cleaning up HTML in .net? The agility pack might be the answer, but the documentation is lacking.
I wrote code of chart with sqldatasource in database column. My problem is I could not able bind. I used DataList Control with a template and literal. Bind literal with <%# Eval("Code") %> But In sql I have ASP.NET tags <% %>. and when processing process %>, it assumes asp.net ends and wrote other text as it is in out put. how to bind this text. Or any other Idea to display graphs from database as per user selection.
I would like to add html attributes to form inputs, specifically disabled="disabled" in addition to others. I have conditional logic in the Controller that determines whether to add this html attribute or not that sets a bool IsDisabled flag in my ViewModel e.g.
Except that Add returns void, and there is no such thing as AddConditional. Is there something like an MVC HtmlAttributeBuilder class, or should I just extend Dictionary with these two extension methods?
How i can make the normal search string to sql server full text search parse, because when we are user enyer search text "how to run windows schedule in C#", in database we have article to to this, but data not returning and sometime is say error in key word and etc.
I'm trying to add html text to some repeater items during DataBind, but the html text isn't parsed into controls it just displays as text. If I copy the text and just add it to the asp.net page it works fine so I know my syntax is fine. So is there a way to dynamically add more html text during the data-bind phase?
I have used a rich textbox control, ckeditor in my case,When any formatting is done to the text the formatted text is populated in the datagrid. But I want to extract only the plain text in the grid and trim the length of data to 80 characters while populating.
I have a field called IsAdmin in my user database which is a bit and i have used a checkbox for entering its value in my forms...but i get an error
Conversion failed when converting the varchar value 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.CheckBox' to data type bit. How do i sort out this error....and i want IsAdmin to be either 1 or 0 in my database
I was wondering if anyone had a tutorial or overview of the best way to store html in a MS SQL database, and then calling it back up and displaying it and should I save the decoded html in ntext?
I have MS SQL Server 2008 and I would like to store formatted text from a rich textbox. Formatted in the sense that I want to store a multiple choice question's formatting, an example would be like this:What is 2 + 2?
4 6 2 8
Then when I retrieve it from the SQL database it saves its formatting.
I have 2 tables A and B. Table A has a text field, fundIDs with comma delimited values like 23,44,55 etc. I would like to select all the records in table B whose ID matches the values in the fundIDs field from only one record in Table A. So, I need a function which first gets 1 table A record and uses the fundIDs field values to query and return all the matching records from Table B. I don't know how to parse and query in sql
Is there a better, cleaner way to do this in ASP.NET 2.0?
An ASP.NET 2.0 page displays a datalist of records. Each record can have many dates, so the dates are in a nested gridview (I chose a gridview over a datalist here because we want to be able to delete a date and this is easier done in a gridview). The parent record can never be deleted.
The display works fine: the nested gridview gets its datasource during the parent datalist's OnItemDataBound event.
The problem: the nested gridview's delete function. The date gets deleted without a problem (handled in the OnRowDeleting event), but somehow the redisplay is untying all the other nested gridviews from their datasources. The delete does not appear to cause a page postback, so I don't know how the other nested gridviews are losing their datasources.
I have a decimal value that is a winning percentage so will always be three digits to the right of the decimal but I dont want the 0 appearing to the left of the decimal. What format string can I use to clean it up?
I have a column with a random length of text, basically it's an old crappy mfg system that stores data in a tilde delimited list. I need to output this column into each seperate column for a view. Column names don't matter, they can all be unnamed but so long as the data returns as seperate columns is what I'm after.
