I have been looking for a way to convert C# datatype into database specific type of MS SQL. For example when I do [Code]....
I would get System.GUID or something like that but what I want is UniqueIdentifier instead of System.GUID. In most cases, I would also want the length of the type like varchar(1000) and stuff like that. Is there anyway I could convert or get similiar result ?

Now i can populate my gridview trough code by this: //gvwDiensten.DataSource = new BindingList<diensten>(dataManager.GetList<diensten>().ToList());But i would like to use an objectdatasource, so i created this:

But when running the page i get:
ObjectDataSource 'dsDiensten' could not find a non-generic method 'GetList' that has no parameters.
I added a new table to my type dataset. When the code tries to execute the new row on that table I get the error message.
(if you can't see the error. "MissingMethodException was caught" "Method not found: 'MyTableDataTable MyNamespace.get_SSCase().")
I've tried the wizard and also click and drag the table from solution explorer to the xsd file. The other tables work, just this one table won't work. What should I check?
We've added a new column to a database table. The column is defined as follows:
Name: DisplayAsSoldOut
Type: Boolean
NOT NULLABLE
Default Value: 0
We've refreshed our EDMX data model and the new column appears just fine. We are on an ASP.NET 4.0 platform using C#.
We have a class defined as PagedList which inherits from List and implenents an interface IPagedList

we receive the following Exception ...
Type: System.Data.EntityCommandExecutionException
Inner Exception: "Invalid column name 'DisplayAsSoldOut'."
I've tried searching for this type of exception but to no avail. The column appears in the EDMX dataset just fine. I even created a small throwaway program and imported the EDMX to do a simple read from the database and it worked fine. Has anyone run across something similar?

I read a CSV file into a DataTable.The DataTable in the first image shows each column and type.The types are exactly what they are supposed to be and the data loaded all the rows it was supposed to load.From the second screen shot you can see the database table. SqlBulkCopy is supposed to map column names to database columns by default.According to that logic each column matches up exactly to the database and the column types also match.However,when I run the command it errors on the first row with:
"The given value of type String from the data source cannot be converted to type decimal of the specified target column."

i have set the type of a column in a table numeric(6,2) but when i insert a value above 9999,99 i get the error
