Notice that I have multiple ItemTemplates. On the first itemTemplate I have an ASP image control showing some image. I would like that when a user clicks on that image the row gets deleted. How can I do that without using the asp:buttoncolumn?Also the same applies for selecting a row, that instead of deleting the row the row gets selected
when user click forgot password it asked user name and email and send his password on his email.

How can I retrieve information from delete rows. I delete some rows from table in dataset, then I use method GetChanges(DataRowState.Deleted) to get deleted rows. I am trying to delete a row of records in a gridview. The selectMethod works perfectly fine, but the DeleteMethod doesn't. When I delete a row, only 1 row of records should be deleted, but the whole gridview was deleted! (I have about 3 -5 rows of data). I am using ObjectDataSource.

View 5 RepliesI have a problem that is driving me insane. I have a simple detailsview that operates as you would expect a detailsview to do - the only difference being that in the updated event I send an email to various people to advise of detail changes (I have conditional testing to do this).
The problem is that if the user goes crazy with left clicking the update button, email recipients can receive multiple duplicate emails.
I have looked all over the net and seen many varied solutions for this problem - mainly using javascript - but none of them seem to be able to block multiple clicks without disabling or hiding the update button - which obviously causes issues with client side validation in the event that information is missing or incorrect.
I have a checkbox header in my gridview. My problem is I can't add a javascript when the user clicks the checkbox. What is wrong.

i am trying to do is set my page up so that when a user clicks on a row in the gridview a hidden checkbox is unchecked... i am new to asp.net but never thought something as simple like this could be so difficult to work out... i've been on it for around 5 weeks now, i started this on my first day of the website, and have actually designed and written the entire site while still trying to work this out... i first did this on the selectedindexchanged event:

problem is the above code throws up errors...! once i take out the where clause it unchecks every checkbox and writes it back... is there a way i can say just uncheck the selectedrow checkbox and update that one row???

View 5 RepliesI have a code which creates an image in application server and that image has been referred in mail html. After sending mail, image will be deleted in application server. When i open the mail , image is not getting display in the mail.
The reason i guess is , my code is deleting the image before it copied to mail server. I have checked by deleting the image manually.
First i opened the mail(this time image get copied to mail server) and then deleted the image in pplication server. When i open the mail 2nd time, image get display(because image is in mail server i guess)
Again i ran the code, this time before opening mail first time, i deleted the image in application server and opened the mail. Image is not displaying(because image not getting copied to mail server).

So my problem is why is my if statement not deleting the currently held record in my database for the path of the current image? All that happens is my new image is uploaded into the same folder but the old image still remains?
Remember though I'm not trying to delete the "same" file name a simple saveas would overwrite it which is already in my code, what I need is for my code to delete any image that is currently in the userid specific folder when I'm trying to save the new image upload.
after user loggs out if he clicks the browsers back button then users had to be redirected to login page

I've been searching in all the forums, and websites for the last 4 hours without finding a solution for a problem that in the beginning I tought it was an easy one!!!This is my problem, I have a gridview with the following colums: select (link), Room Type (for hotels), and TotalThe total field Is a template field it has in the custom binding property a function: find_total(Eval("Room")) this function makes some calculation and returns the calculated Total value, and shows in the gridview without problems,The thing I cant do is: when the user clicks on the select link I want to get the text of the template field and put in a label control.
I tried, almost all the events of the datagrid, to reference the content of my template field but sometimes I receive a null value (seems that Im looking for the value before the find_total function has been executed) or I get an error "the index is out of range".I dont know how to approach this, I tought It has to be much easier, but Im very confused right now, if anybody knows how to do this
