I have 2 datalist results right after each other in the HTML. They are appearing vertically like:Listings on Free Board: 256Listings on DeLuxe Board: 323I want them them to appear horizontally like:Listings on Free Board: 256 Listings on DeLuxe Board: 323I remove the CSS and they are still doing this. Is there a property item for this? Seems simple but I cannot find the answer.
View 3 RepliesI have a gridView, with two DataKeyNames: MemberID, and CommitCustomerID.
One DataList has this sql statement:
SELECT * FROM [tblMemberProfile] WHERE MemberID = @MemberID
It pops up perfectly fine.
I also have another DataList with this statement:
SELECT * FROM [Incidents] WHERE CustomerID = @CommitCustomerID
I know this sql command works I have tested it with my data.
However I dont think the DataList is getting the proper value for the selected row in this DataLists case.
How can I make sure when I select the row in the GridView the proper parameters are going to the proper DataList sql statements?
I am trying something different for me and trying to use controls without a lot of mods but that is going out the window already.Anyway I have an update panel with a dropdown which selects query data for datalist1. (works perfect)
Inside datalist1 I want to link a field to the query in datalist2 which I have but not correct to what I want. (kinda works)
Once selected it should display the datalist2 items which have a link to a file displayed in a new window. (datalist2 works)
The way I have it now the link in datalist1 uses a query string and refreshes the page not just use the update panel and I then lose the display in datalist 1.

I'm working with a databound gridview that has two columns: a checkbox and zip code. It works fine but upon rendering, it is a very long and skinny two columns which requires the user to scroll down a lot in their browser. I'd like it to be more user friendly and not require so much scrolling. tried to repeat it vertically by adding additional checkbox and databound column but just ended up with duplicate data, not continuing data from the bottom of databound column 1 to the top of databound column 2.Is there any way to repeat the columns vertically and have the data continue?

i have a webpage, and a gridview in it, i have some text box for parameters of searching in previouse page , i wrote store procedure and use query string for this search, either store procedure and querstring work correcctly , but my gridview is not appeared in the second page.
I have the following code in place:

The Dataview control is not appearing when the page is loaded. Has anyone any ideas ?
I am not sure that what is the problem. But you can see the out of my grid in the following figure. The first cell doesnot appears !!.

Using vb.net/asp.net 2005 and sql server mgmt studio 2005.
I am querying sql server db and returning unique records, no duplicates when I return the records in sql server mgmt studio.
However when I bind the dataTable that I return it is showing multiple duplicates, meaning I see each record appear 8 times in the gridview, has anyone seen this or know what I'm doing wrong?

View 5 RepliesI have an issue in using dot net chart control. In chart last column is not completely shown which give bad appearance and on right side of chart it looks like TickMark are enabled. I set MajorTickMark of AxisY2 disabled but still tick marks on right side.
View 2 RepliesI have a datagridview control that I'm using to display cache data to the end used on a web form. The issue that I'm having is that every time I re-run the application, and the cache data is re-generated... it loads duplicate data that's being displayed to the end user. I can't seem to figure out how to keep this from happening.
What I would like to have happen is that only unique data rows be returned and cached for the end user. Unless there are new data rows on the database that needs to be included in the cache data results...the previous data results should not be duplicated. I've tried to change a few properties on the datagridview control, but nothing seem to keep this from happening.

I am search option(textfield), normally i am giving exact input and click on button to get the result, but i want If I enter some character into seach field I need to return all results that have in the datase in the search field so that user need not type all the information in textbox like we have in google search.

I have a page where users can search by company name, the data list is pulled from an Excel spreadsheet hosted on the site. I'm seeing some strange results returned, for example:
In the company field say there are the following entries:
Anns Company
Bernards Business
Company B
Dermots Domain
Property Company
If I search for "Com" I get the following returns (correct):
Anns Company
Company B
Property Company
If I search for "Der" I get my "Sorry there are no matching results" message (Incorrect)
If I search for "Ann" I get the following returns (Correct):
Anns Company
And if I search for "e" I get the following returns (Correct):
Bernards Business
Dermots Domain
Property Company
It seems random as to why it doesn't return some values, I've tried moving rows around to see if that's the problem but it makes no difference. My range is set correctly in the spreadsheet.
When I debug the VB code behind, when I search for something that works correctly e.g. "Com" in the above example, once enter the value and click search Visual Studio begins steping into the code and shows me the contents of the variables however when I search for something that's not working e.g. "Der" and click search it immediatly returns the "Sorry there are no matching results" message and the code behind does not get steped into.
I have a page where I will insert all the data into the database. The page where I'm having problems is when I select an item from the checkboxlist it only displays one item. The data which is displayed is only the one that was inserted with one selected item from the checkboxlist. The following code is the page I'm using to try to retrieve the data from the database. I am trying to do is when a user selects the first, second, or third, or fourth item. The corresponding data appears in the gridview. In my current code, the record which has one item selected appears. If the user has more than one selected it does not appear. It comes up as empty. Is there a way I can do it?

(Mods, move if I put this in the wrong place) I'm running queries against SQL databases, and I'd like for the results of my searches to appear in table form in an email that is then sent out dynamically. I currently have the results appearing in a Datagrid on a webpage which I'm then manually transferring to an email form to send. I'd like to streamline the process so I don't need to do any manual entry.
How can I have a table/datagrid/whatever in an email that gets populated with the results of a SQL query?
am having three dropdownlists on my webform. On the based on their selection I am retriving records from a databas table. my code for retrieving records as follows.when I didnt select ant dropdownlist ans click the search button then it featch all records. but when i select an option from suppose i select from ddlDivision, even there is many records related to selected Division but it shows sorry no record found.
