I would like to have a date(txtDate), that is inputed into a txtbox via a calender, auto populate another textbox witha date 45day(txt45Date) in the future as well as 90 Days(txt90Date)? I have done an auto calculation before but this was with digits not dates. Is this is possible? If so will my attached script work

I am inserting 4 fields into a table trought an SqlDataSource and a FormView element. These fields are ID (autopopulated), date(selected from calendar and/or todays date as default), Company name(user input), and UserID (taken from LoginName?).
I am able to inser the data in to the table when typing it, but I would like to have the UserID fiel auto completed and the date as well, or filled with the selected calendar date.

I have a dropdown list with the names of the months listed in it. These names are stored as int values but converted to string for display purpose. I also have a RadDatePicker control that will allow the user to select a specific date to overwrite the default date. The default date in the textbox needs to be set to the last day of the month selected (i.e. May 2010 would default to 05/31/2010).

tw text boxes lve.text (number filled) and lve from.text (date filled). when user enter a numder in lve.text and select a date fro date picker in lvefrom.text then lveto.text should show date selected in lvefrom.text + number of days in lveto.text (eg if number of days is 5 and date selected in lvefrom.text is 15 Jan 2013 then lveto.text should display 19 jan 2013. because the starting day is also counted in my case.

View 4 RepliesI am using a textbox and button to get the user input (account number), this will be used as input to a data access class object (SQL) when the button is clicked. This action should populate the Formview control. I have bound the Formview control to the SQLdatasource and configured the SQLdatasource control to the textbox.TEXT property. What am I missing? What do I need to add to button_clicked event to get all this to work? One other thing, the textbox is in a table area separate from the formview control. I have each of the templates inside of the formview control in tables. The input textbox and button are displayed but the formview control is not, all of this is in a master/detail object.

View 3 RepliesI have a drop-down list that is wired up to a datasource from one table to retrieve a Vendor ID and Vendor Name. This ddl is outside a FormView that is wired up to a datasource containing Vendor contracts.
When I choose a Vendor from the ddl, I am able to populate a textbox outside of FormView with the Vendor ID from the ddl. However, what I need to do is populate a textbox within FormView with the Vendor ID. FormView is in Insert Mode by default since my page will be used for Adding Contracts only.
I would like the user to select an item from a drop down list. Next to the drop down is a textbox or label control. From the ddl selection I would like to populate the textbox or label from a database with a corresponding field from the database the dropdownlist was populated from. On selectindexchange event I can populate the textbox with the Unique id from the value, but I need to input a different field into the textbox. I also use a text box and session variables to send parameters to a stored procedure and return a single row result in a form view.
The thing I am having an incredibly hard time figuring out is how to populate a single textbox with the data from any of those fields. or the whole control as a single summary.

I want to orderby the list. Today date is on the top and then next date and all dates but when today date is passed then it comes on the end of the list. Is there any formal query in linq or some other code is used to achieve this?

i need a requirement of date range should be of 3 months only i.e,the first month,year are selected automatically the second month should be of 3 months after the first month.
ex:
FROM month is jan is selected. To month should be march.

I just want to know db type of these columns whether a column is text , date or int type.
I have a "database explorer" page that is desgined to be pointed to an unknown database and allow users to browse the data, so it basically uses the SQL system tables to develop its queries and pull in data to tables using auto-generate columns.The problem that I have is that I would like certain types of columns to have certain formats and I'm wondering the best way to go about it. I could format the column in code in the RowDataBound event I assume, but I'm wondering if there some better standard way to do this? Is there a setting of any kind that I can use? For example I want all of the datetime fields to be formated for short date, like {0:d}, I want decimal fields to have 4 decimal places, etc.

View 1 RepliesHere my question is very simple. That what I want to do is to select a date using asp.net calender control and insert into textbox. Both the controls are in the InsertItemTemplate of the FormView.
1. Page1.aspx has a textbox and an image for calender.
2. Calendar.aspx is to select any date and with the help of session it should go back to its parent page in the text box and dispose itself.
Achievement:1. From Page1.aspx when i click Calender image, perfectly a new page Calendar.aspx opens.
2. On Calendar.aspx page, date selection is also OK.
3. Using Session, the date is perfectly transfering to next page.
Problem: 1. When I select date from Calendar.aspx it is not transfering back to Page1
in textbox.
2. Secondly when I select date from Calendar.aspx it is not disposing itself after date selection.
I am displaying data with in textboxes in gridview here user will change the values my problam is how to get the gridview data and assign it to List?
