Forms Data Controls :: Find Value Between Two Defined Values?

I have a database that tells me what contract is in effect on specific streets but between mile marker values.
For example, Main Street is 10 miles long. Contract ABC123 applies to miles 0 - 4.9, and contract 999555 applies to miles 5-10.
My user will enter the street name and mile value into textboxes, and the results will be displayed in a gridview.
Getting the Street name portion of the query is working fine, it is this mile value that is confusing me.
In my table I have StreetName for the name of the street, and for the mile range of the street the table has BegMile (beginning value) and EndMile (ending value).
How do I get the correct answer back when my user is entering a value between BegMile and EndMile?

I have the requirement to display the total of values entered in the textboxes inside the gridview.

i set the property for CompletionSetcount to 12 and its showing all 121 items in the database, I've searched for 3 days to find a solution to limit the extender to the top 12 or so items (even if it has a scroll bar) and nothing works.

I am attempting to set the content-type of an asp.net .ashx file to text/plain.
When I run this through the ASP.NET Development Server, the content-type is properly set. When I serve it through IIS7, however, the content-type (and any other header values I set) don't come through (it came through as text/html).
The only value set in the HTTP Response Headers section of IIS Manager is the X-Powered-By attribute. I tried setting the content-type here, but that didn't work. But if I removed the X-Powered-By attribute, it was removed from the header.

My Problam is on Capturing Text Box and Dropdown seleted itam from grid view i create a gridview with Empty DB binding using [URL] this senirio. I only used setinitional value() function and called its in page load as discribed in above lonk. insted of adding New record Button i callled a java scrit code discribed below. and i also create a button (SAVE) to capture a value intered in text box . how can i find the total null values in a table without using sql cursor .
i want to find the percentage of the data which is avaibale in the table and how much percentage of data is unavailable ( or null). to make a comparision chart.
i have 6000 rows and 200 columns in a table , if i use sql cursor , it is taking too much time to execute ( 6000 * 200 ) loops. is there any inbuilt-function in sql to do it .?

I have a repeater that I have bound to a sql reader via my code behind page.
However I can't figure out how to populate the controls in my repeater in my code behind code.
At the moment I am having to specify the database field e.g productprice with the control in the .aspx page like this
<asp:Label ID="LabelUnitPrice" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("productprice") %>'></asp:Label>
I would rather specify fields in my code behind than embedding them in the .aspx page.
I also have a subtotal label control in my repeater that I would like to populate its text property by mutiplying two of the database values e.g productprice * unitprice shown in my repeater.
I need to do this in code behind, looping through the repeater. Any idea of how I can do this in C#?

Updates to the edited item are not passing the new / updated values but rather the original values. And I can't for the life of me figure out why when I change the original value in an edit textbox and post the update the new value is not being passed. I get the original value. Perhaps fresh eyes can spot the problem. This should be super basic but apparently I'm missing something.
