How can I load (copy) the data that is present in the GridView into the DataTable? I am planning on loading the DataTable from GridView and update a row from the datatable and load the newly formed data with the GridView.
Note : Here I am not using datasource.
I have no problem when paging my FormView, the dropdownlist does not read the next record and keep the value of the first loaded record? All other textbox control behave normally and move from record to record excepted the ddl??Here the code.

I think I am doing something wrong but I can't figure out how to do it. I know I have to iterate through the GridView.Rows, but I don't know how to pass it to the DataTable.
View 3 RepliesI have a Gridview and two link button in that GridView , one link button click is to add edit row ( Edit ), one link button click is to select row ( Select ). I have a dropdownlist inside row which selected when i click link button Select in the gridview edit template, as of my business logic i need to show the dropdownlist only when the user clicks Edit button and when the user clicks Select button . That mean when the user clicks Select button then they clicks Edit button on the gridvview i should allow him to edit the dropdownlist (showing the value to the user through a label).

In one of my application, I have around 2000 records which i am displaying in gridview with normal paging.
Now I want to change this paging facility and would like to show a "more" button at the footer(just like [URL] has). The moment user clicks it, the next set of data will be retreived. This will go on till all the records are fetched.
I've got a GridView that's databound to a DataTable that I have stored in Session. I want to be able to add a LinkButton into this gridview so I can delete rows from the DataTable, however, I need to reference the rows in the datatable somehow.

I added a link button for the column header that fires a sub that should sort the datagrid, but is not.

How can I Edit/Update, Delete and save record to database
I have a gridView which is populated with the code below. This is working perfectly except for one issue. In the "Region" column, I need for each region name to be a hyperlink. If I set the row code to dr(0) = "<a href='table_display.aspx?IO_ID=" & objDataReader("IO_ID") & "'>" & objDataReader("Region") & "</a>" it actually displays the entire string of text from "<a href..." through "</a>", but not as a hyperlink. I have read in many places to manually put a hyperlink field in the aspx page, but I would really prefer to do this programmatically in the code-behind.
