Forms Data Controls :: Link Button Not Firing Inside Gridview With Firefox?
Jul 8, 2010i am using link button inside my gridview .
it is firing in IE but not working in mozilla.
[Code].....
i am using link button inside my gridview .
it is firing in IE but not working in mozilla.
[Code].....
On grid RowDataBound based on some condition i've added imagebutton dynamically. parallelly i want to add event for this button click. here is my code snippet.
protected void GV3_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)
{
if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)
{
TableCell cell = new TableCell();
ImageButton bttn = new ImageButton();
[Code]...
That message popup box comes, but i'm unable to catch that click event. while click on a row i want to delete that row, so want to create event dynamically. for that i've used this following dynamic click event
bttn.Click += new ImageClickEventHandler(b_Click);
private void b_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//delete record
}
but this above code also not working.
I have a datalist inside of an updatePanel. Within the datalist, for each item I have a linkbutton that when clicked I would like to fire the OnDeleteCommand of the datalist so that I can delete the record.
Problem is that I can never get the event to fire, it simply does a postback and then does not fire the event specified inthe "OnDeleteCommand" argument of the datalist control.
I've read many postings with similar entries, but nothing has worked.
<a href="display.aspx?code=<%# Eval("code")%>"> click </a>
opening a new page with a parameter value as shown
a javascript with a url with any querystring is a normal.
i get the parameter value in the Eval("code") only.
the new pages opens as a normal page and not as poup
I have an UpdatePanel with a GridView. This GridView has a template column that is a DropDownList. The problem is that the SelectedIndexChanged event does not fire for the DropDownList. Here is the code:
[Code]....
The codebehind:
[Code]....
[Code]....
Button inside the repeater not firing
I've got a button inside the gridview that isn't firing the onCommand, ONLY when I uncomment some seemingly unrelated code having to do with session in the page load.
Markup:
[Code]....
Code Behind:
[Code]....
Now here is the odd thing. If I comment out the If Not Session block in the page_load....it works and deleteUser will fire upon a button click. If I leave it uncommented as now.....it won't work.
The weird part is when I step through the code in debug, upon clicking the remove button, it still registers that as being clicked and runs page_load, etc again. But won't run deleteUser.
I have the below label. I need it to be a link that will cause the following:
Existing label INSIDE a DataList Item Template;
<asp:Label ID="Label10" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("CG_ID") %>' Font-Size="X-Small"></asp:Label>
I need to change this label to a link that will cause C# code behind to:
tbxCG_ID.Text = Eval("CG_ID")
and then call this:
protected void ListBox1_SelectedValueChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
I keep creating a DataList1_SelectedIndex_Changed event created when I double click the label or a link button. What is the code needed? I can see the Eval("CG_ID") value with the label but I don't know how to get it into tbxCG_ID.Text and fire the ListBox1 event.
I'm trying to fire the RowCommand event on a DataGrid control. I've previously done that, but not in this precise case.
Actually I'm working on someone else code so I can't really change the structure of his page excepted if it's really necessary.
The code of the page is heavy, so I've summarized the problem in a small project and the page behaves the same way too.
Basically I have a GridView which I bind to a DataSet. According to those data, I sometimes need to add, at the end of a row, a "Details" button (a LinkButton).
By pushing this button, I want to show a second GridView containing those details.
Let's add to this that the columns number of the first GridView is variable, those LinkButton need to be added dynamically.
The first GridView is generated without any problem and when my mouse is over one of the LinkButton, I can see that the link is something like "javascript:__doPostBack('dataGridView$ctl02$lnkDetail','')". When I click on this link and debug step by step : Page_Init, Page_Load, OnPrerender, RowDataBound but no RowCommand, and I don't know why!
In the exemple, I've explicitly set the EnableViewState to true from what I've read here and there, but nothing's changed.
[code]...
And the code of my .aspx :
[Code]....
I am using two data list one at the bottom & another at the Top to display paging. On Page load, I need to access link button placed inside Data List. Actually I had got two Datalists. I can access one Datalist Link button like this:
LinkButton lnkPg=(LinkButton)dlPg.Items[0].FindControl("lnkbtnpaging");
lnkPg.Visible= false;
This is giving no error. But if I write same code for another datalist say dlPg1, it is giving error: Index was out of range. must be non-negative.
I've been reading up on the problems with dynamically created controls and how they have been solved. The posts I have come across are creating the controls in a panel or some other open place. I can't seem to get my checkbox to fire the event from inside a gridview. below is the code behind from inside the GridView PreRender event.
[Code]....
..And the Checked Event..
[Code]....
So after all this, nothing happens. I get the postback flash but my command inside the checked event doesn't fire.I tried putting the dynamic creation of the checkbox in Page Load with no effect.. I think because I can't place the checkbox inside the GridView under page load.
I have Onclientclick event attached to the button in serverside code like below,
[Code]....
Also, the onClick event is attached for the same button in the aspx page,
[Code]....
The serverside click event should fire if the onclientclick javascript function return true. The "ValidateData()" function is called to validate the entries in the form. This code is working fine in IE. But in Firefox, both events are not firig. If I remove the line "TopPanelButton.OnClientClick =..." then onClick event is firing.
<head runat="server">

My GridView is as follows
<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" CellPadding="4"
ForeColor="#333333" OnRowEditing="GridView1_RowEditing" OnRowCancelingEdit="GridView1_RowCancelingEdit"
OnRowUpdating="GridView1_RowUpdating" OnRowDeleting="GridView1_RowDeleting" Width="574px">
<RowStyle BackColor="#EFF3FB" />
<Columns>
<asp:TemplateField HeaderText="ID">
[Code] ....
But I am unable to get the required alert ...
I am using alerts from this site [URL] ....
I have done this successfully in another project and seemingly copied the code from it to a new one, yet it doesn't work.
I have a custom gridView with the following code:
<asp:GridView ID="gvCustomEditors" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False"

View 2 RepliesIf the user clicks on Inbox or Sent links, the inbox or sent tables with appropriate content taken from Message_Inbox database table should be shown on right. use asp.net panel controls hide/show to show/hide these tables. when user clicks on message subject link in these tables, the read-only view message page should be shown.
If the user clicks on Drafts link, the drafts tables with appropriate content taken from Message_Inbox database table should be shown on right.when user clicks on message subject link in these tables, the pre-composed form should be shown. the user should allowed to send or save this message.
I have the following code for the first part

I have developed an application using Visual Studio 2008. I have a hirerchical gridview and on every row i have a "Payment" button which actually inserts a payment entry in database. Here is the sample screen of that gridview so u have an idea what i am doing. Problem is that whenever user pressed the button of "PAYMENT" it is inserting multiple records in database..it should only fire once and i am failed to understand why its firing multiple times. Refer this link for my payment screen: [URL]

I have a link button which is part of my user control. Further, the control is actually added to the control dynamically. Whilst, I can see the control, and is added to the page without any visible errors, but when I click on to fire an event which on that user control nothing happens. What is even more odd, if I add a break point to event, and then click in debug mode, I can't even reach the break point!
To try and resolve this, I have tried giving the link button ids, and ensured they unique, added override using OnInit and used the createchildcontrols method, but nothing seems to work!
How can one disable a Link Button in gridview. In gridview, I had defined linkbutton as :
<asp:TemplateField>
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:LinkButton ID="lnkbtndownload" runat="server" CssClass="Links" CommandName="DownloadPdf" CommandArgument='<%#Eval("Client_ID")%>'>Download</asp:LinkButton></td>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>
I have a link button for one of the columns of the gridview, What I need to do to save the value that the link button has in the gridview on a text box and how can I open a new page on that link button
View 2 RepliesI have a databound Gridview (with a LINQ datasource). The gridview displays questions from the SQL DB to the user. I've inserted a radio button list into the gridview with 3 horizontal radio buttons with fixed values of 1,2,3 for the user to select. I have a question ID, a tempuserID, and AnswerValue columns set up in the database. It all works nicely.
After the user selects radio buttons, I would like for them to push a button to submit the QuestionID, the associated Radio Button Value (AnswerValue) and their tempUserID into the DB. How do I do this? I'm not sure what to do next and what VB/LINQ code to put in the code behind file in the button click event handler. I'm also not sure on what to use for the tempUserID, can I use the sessionID? I'm using VB and here's my code:

I have a search button on click on which i bind data in grid view
Grid view has link button which has row command associated with it, but it doesnt fire

Grid View is inside update panel, also there are ajax controls on the page and it's using master page.

I've also test onclientclick property and href attribute and assigned them page.getpostbackevent, and they did'nt work here is my code:
