I am facing one problem regarding asp.net menu control '

In that we added a menu control in the left side for category.Loading this control using XMLData source
I have added the code below

In tha XML data source transform file is a xslt file
so coming back to the issue.. When we click any menu item, the corresponding menu item is highlighted.

I have this control on a page. The selections are static. The "maximumlevels" is set to 6. When I click on an item at the 4th level, I can see the postback occur but the "click" event doesn't fire! I'm totally baffeled. I've tested this in the Page Load event. At this point the PRIOR menu selected value shows. On the next menu_click, the previous selection shows. The first menu item is "selected" and has a value of "Overview". The fourth level item has a value of "Child". No matter how many times I selected that item, my check in the Page Load shows the value to be "Overview". I've tested the 3rd level items and on click, I can see the prior menu item value. When I click a 4th level item, the value never changes from the last 3rd level or higher item selected.

I'm trying to find out if or how it's possible to keep the MenuItems highlighted of a menu control as you navigate down the hierarchy.If I have deep menu, say 3 layers, I'd like to keep the path the user took highlighted.

I have a few gridviews on my page. Each gridview row click drives another grid. I need to keep the gridview rows highlighted as the user clicks through the grids. So it is eazy to figure out which rows are being selected on each grid. How can I do this.

I have an <asp:Menu> object on my webpage and it works but it has a very minor shortcoming that is very irritating.
Currently, the menu item is activated when the user clicks on the TEXT of the menu item (Home for example). However, the menu item does not allow me to click on the menu item when I put the mouse over the rectangle which the menu item is in but not on the text.
So if I click on the WORD Home, it works.
When I attempt to click right next to the word HOME, it does not work. I know that I am in the menu item rectangle because I change the background color when hovering over it.
Is there a way to have the menu be active when the mouse is anywhere in the menu item?
Or am I limited to only being able to click on the menu item hyperlink ONLY?

I am using frames in my webpage.in one of the frames i have a menu control whose items are database driven.when click on the menu item, i want another page to be displayed in other frame.
now i want to pass the the selected menu item text to the other page using session variable which is in the menu item click event method.but the thing is when i click on the menu item, the click event is not firing.
is there any better way to pass the selected menu item text to the other page?

Im building a navigation and want to display the current page (Default.aspx, OtherPage.aspx) the user is on with a class.Right now I just have a bunch of links as <a> tags.Here is a my menu:

As you can see the Default.aspx has the class active, but that is just something I put in.How do I do this dynamically?I know I can use Path.GetFileName(Request.FilePath) to get what page the user is on.

I am working on grid view in C# ASP.net VS2010. In the grid view I have added check box list. If i select a check box then a part of row should be selected and should get highlighted. Please refer to uploaded image.
In this grid there are 3 rows: Groom, Clean n Pickup.Now if I select "Clean" then partial row of it should get selected (In image, Yellow color).

I have an AutoCompleteExtender control tied to a textbox. If the user starts typing in it, a drop down pops up displaying the a list with the matching suggestions. If, while the list is being displayed, the user hits the Tab key, the textbox loses focus and its value gets overwritten with whatever choice was highlighted in the list.
The problem is when the user clicks outside the list, I want to achieve the same behavior. It currently keeps whatever the user had typed (before the choice list pops up), but I would like for the textbox to get the value of the last highlighted choice (just as if they hit Tab).
I'm able to capture the event, when the user clicks outside the list, but I can't seem to find how to get to the highlighted value from the choice list.

I am Trying to hide Navigation Menu Item on my master page based on a selected item from a Drop Down List on another page. I think i need to use a session to get the pages to communicate, which i can do just fine. Im having a problem putting together the code to actually Hide the link based on the specific answer of the DDL.

In a gridview i have a TemplateField containing a radioButtonList. I have around 100 rows with data and each radiobuttonlist has around 5 options. I would like to have the user to select an option from the radiobuttonList and then in my button click event to record the selected value of the radiobuttonlist for each row. The area im struggling with is how could the click event of my button send the selected value for each row?

I have 2 dropdownlist controls (ddl1 and ddl2). When I pick an item from ddl1, it will update ddl2. The problem is when I pick an item in ddl2, it always selects the first item in the list. Is it that the ddl2 autopostback causes the first ddl1 to reload and results the ddl2 to be refreshed also? Or I didn't set something correctly?

Using Visual Web Developer 2010 Express and SQL Server 2008 R2.
I have a form with two GridView controls and a FormView control. All the data is populated using a SqlDataSource for each control - I'm not using any code behind to populate the controls. So far so good. The first GridView is called grdTrades with code like this:

At the moment when the page loads, the frmOrderDetails FormView is not populated. The user has to click on an order in grdOrders to populate the FormView. Is there a nice way to do this?

I have a gridview with two columns (item templates) one is a dropdown and the other is a textbox. I need to select an item from the dropdown (which I can do) and then get the cost of it and then put the cost in the texbox item template of the gridview. So I think I need to pass the row number and cost_id of the selected item to a procedure to get the cost of the item. Here is my so far code that I have now Idea how to pass the values of the gridview and then pass the cost of the item back to the proper row and textbox of the girdview.

I have been trying for a while to populate a formview when I select an item from the dropdownlist. The dropdownlist is outside of the formview. For some reason, when I select a different item it does not change in the formview. Only the first item of the list shows up. I don't know where I'm doing wrong. I tried many things and suggested informatioin and I still could not get it to work. When I do try to switch I get this error message:

I've implemented a ListView to display selected data from a DataTable. My listview is one row high and 4 columns wide. I've setup a DataPager to the left of it and another to the right to allow the user to access any item in the ListView.My problem is simple: When the user adds a new item to the DataTable, I rebind the data again { e.g. listView1.DataBind() }, and then I proceed to select that newly added item. BUT no matter what I try, nothing works! More precisely, I do this: listView1.SelectedIndex = #; where "#" is the appropriate index number.

i have a gridview with radio button.i need to select only one item through out gridview i have written code that is working fine but that is giving problem in paging i am displaying gridview with 5 records per page.in first page i am able to select only one item but if i move to second page here also i am able to select only one radio button in this mean time if move to first page in that page also radio button is in selected mode .How can i make only one radio button selected in through out gridview and How can i get paging data from gridview(if i select 3rd page value and i moved to first page in that situation i need to get get that 3rd page value aslo ).

What i need to do is as follows;
1) Once i select the item in the dropdownlist, it will extract data from my sql query which is :
