How do you go about making sure your check boxes are selected when you page throug the pages?

I've got a typed dataset that populates programmatically based upon dropdown selections from the user, and then is bound to a datagrid. One of the cols is a bit type (indicating whether or not that record is "active"). I would like that datagrid col to be exposed to the user as a bunch of checkboxes, which the user could turn on and off as needed, and then update the entire recordset according upon clicking Submit.
Is converting a dg column into checkboxes a straightforward thing to do?
I have Grid view control in the page. Enable paging option is true.
Columns in the Grid view are ID, Name, Checked and Email
Whenever user selects the check box then I am showing txtEmail in the Email columns so that I can enter email id in the textbox.
Like this I am selecting checkboxes and entering values in the txtEmail when I go to next page and comes back. Then these entered values are cleared.
How to keep the textboxes values and checkboxes selected during paging?

This morning I posted a question w.r.t Radio Buttons, but the requirement changed so I'm posing a similar question.
I want to have a checkbox in a datagrid.
Suppose I click on one of the checkboxes and then realize i need to click on another, the screen has to automatically uncheck the previously clicked checkbox and then check the newly clicked checkbox.
In other words I need to clear previously checked checkboxes and check the recently clicked checkbox.
Also, I need to update a label in the page with a value associated with the row of the checked checkbox.
I should not be using a javascript to do this.
I got DataGrid Paging functionality on, I can see the paging 1,2,3,4,5.... but when i try to click on it to go to that page the datagrid just goes blank (does not render any record anything). My code is below:

I have a usercontrol with a datagrid that is used throughout my web application. The datasource is passed in a public method from the master page to this usercontrol, as the data selection is different on each page where this usercontrol is used.But by doing this, I'm having a problem with paging, as the datasource is lost after postback. I can't do the data selection in the usercontrol itself as the dataset is passed as a parameter.

I have an ASP .NET GridView with Paging. One column in it has a CheckBox. In a certain scenario, I want to uncheck the checkboxes that are checked.

But unfortunately because of Paging only the records that are currently shown in the Grid can be accessed in this way. I want it to apply to ALL the items in the GridView. This should happen client side and when the user commits will get saved to the database.
Is there a way to use the GridView paging and having the links not use JavaScript. So that when you click on the page number 5 (for example) that link is a hyperlink.

I need to be able to check a couple of checkboxes, in different "pagings", press a button and send an email every to ever user that has been checked.
Trouble is I don't really know how to remember the selected checkboxes between each paging-press.
Deos anyone have a similar solution or a few tips on how to do this?
I'd prefer to solv this without jQuery, but ordinare javascript or a C# solution works fine.

I'd like to implement a custom paging template for my formview that displays numeric paging as well as next/previous buttons. The pre-defined templates only appear to have numeric first last as an option. Can anyone recommend a good article that covers this?

I know how to handle the filtering of the grid (create a criteria and set to rowfilter of the dataview) But, I dont know how to get the value of the column of the selected row.
I got a list of customers I thought I would list in a gridview or a repeater with customer html, it gone have paging. I'm gone have a checkbox for each customer in the list. Do you guys have any suggestions on how I should do to keep the checkbox value when I go to page 2-3-4 ect in the paging. I'm thinking a session to store the id of the checked customers. After I'm done setting the values they go to the database.
Do you got any other ideas then the session I'm thinking of?

I would like the selectedvalue of the dropdown to display additional data base on its selection in multiple text boxes.
I have tried using the DropDownList OnSelectedIndexChanged property, within a DataGrid EditiItemTemplate, but I cannot retrieve data from the selection. (AutoPostBack is "True"). I can however use a button onclick event to fire a "prre-defined" selection value.

The problem is that when i press the OK button, i want to find the rows in the datagrid that have been checked with the checkboxes.... but i can't find the datagrid on the page! Any suggestions to how i can find the datagrid in the updatepanel?

I have datagrid with paging enabled that can have 10 rows per page. Also I have DataTable with 16 rows. I want to fill the datagrid dynamically with 'for' loop to go over all the DataTable and fill the DataGrid.I understand that there is a problem when the counter will hit row 11. Do I need to change the page of the datagrid when counter will be 11? Because it doesnt let me add more than 10 rows in the datagrid.
