Forms Data Controls :: Datagrid Paging Inside Usercontrol?

I have a usercontrol with a datagrid that is used throughout my web application. The datasource is passed in a public method from the master page to this usercontrol, as the data selection is different on each page where this usercontrol is used.But by doing this, I'm having a problem with paging, as the datasource is lost after postback. I can't do the data selection in the usercontrol itself as the dataset is passed as a parameter.

I would like the selectedvalue of the dropdown to display additional data base on its selection in multiple text boxes.
I have tried using the DropDownList OnSelectedIndexChanged property, within a DataGrid EditiItemTemplate, but I cannot retrieve data from the selection. (AutoPostBack is "True"). I can however use a button onclick event to fire a "prre-defined" selection value.

I have a listview control and a datapager control in a ascx page, this is then embedded in the aspx page.
When my page loads the records come up, and the page numbers appear in the pager, however, when I click on any of the page numbers, the page is always blank, no records.

what I am trying to do;I want it so that when the user clicks on the datagrid column headers to sort the records, or when they go to page the datagrid, that a confirmation pop-up appears first, confirming that their changes are going to be lost (unless they click "Cancel").I have the confirmation pop-up scripted in Javascript and is added to the controls on the page using

I have created the required attributes in the ASPX code shown below and with a corresponding Select method. Yet I get the error shown below even throug there is a select method that should work. I'm new to ASP.NET (both the site and the platform) and am I wondered if you guys could help me figure out how to add tooltips to a DataGrid column, specifically, the HyperLinkColumn (example shown below). I'm sure there's some magical way to do this in JavaScript but a search turned up nothing.

I have a gridview which is inside the update panel. Also I have setup a multipe filters which works fine. After the search I get the correct returns and page numbers but as soon I switch the pages, it loses its state and lists all the page numbers.

I have a ListView showing just a list of concatenated strings obtained from different field of the objects of the datasource.
A LinkButton (with CommandName="Edit") in each row Event handlers for OnItemDataBound and OnItemEditing
A UserControl in EditTemplate.
Now the problem is, I don't know how to use Bind expression in the UserControl. I mean, how to populate this usercontrol when the linkbutton is clicked? (I tried capturing the control in theOnItemEditing handler. But FindControl returned null, as that handler is called before going to edit mode.)

I have a Panel inside a datagrid which has some lables. my panel is hidden when page loads. my panel is displayed when some selection is made all this is done on client side using JS i want to change the foucs to my panel when the panel shows up (using JS) but looks like i cannot chane my foucs to a div so i added a anchor inside the panel. and tried to find that anchor and set foucs to that anchor.

I have girdview1 inside a modalpopupextender1 ,inside the gridview1 i have a checkbox1. here my question is whenever i click paging .
