Forms Data Controls :: Updating Multiple Table / Multiple Row?

I've scenerio where i've two dropdownlist box (one dependent on other, displays handset brand name and on selection displays the respective model name), two combolistbox which is bounded to their respective datasource(Displays the fault and accessories).
Now i've to update the three tables booking(Handsetid, Brand,model), accessories(handsetId,AcesoriesID) and fault(handsetID,faultID). Ive to update multiple rows in Accessories and fault.
These controls are present in datagridview EditTemplate
In general, If multiple users thru an application try to update the same tables in database simultaneously, then by default on what basis the priority will be given.Like if we don't have any extra logic for the locking implemented.
Let's say I have a gridview, with 3 dropdownlists, and 1 datepicker(in edit template), and 2 textboxes.When I tried selecting a new value for a dropdownlist, the value would automatically revert back to it's original value, without me clicking on update. May I know how am I going to update the gridview with multiple ddls?
I have a problem that is driving me insane. I have a simple detailsview that operates as you would expect a detailsview to do - the only difference being that in the updated event I send an email to various people to advise of detail changes (I have conditional testing to do this).
The problem is that if the user goes crazy with left clicking the update button, email recipients can receive multiple duplicate emails.
I have looked all over the net and seen many varied solutions for this problem - mainly using javascript - but none of them seem to be able to block multiple clicks without disabling or hiding the update button - which obviously causes issues with client side validation in the event that information is missing or incorrect.
What I want to do is make a page that will list all the reports in the Reports table and have a checkbox next to each name. A user can check each report they use and when they click "submit" it will insert each ReportID into the Usage table.I'm guessing that I should use a GridView to display all the Reports?How would I make it so that the "submit" button would insert each "checked" record into the Usage table?
I have a detail view, i can edit the detail view but cannot update. i do it at code behind, no data source was use. because i need to update multiple table at the same time when i click update on the detail view.
I have an inventory page with a gridview that shows 1 item per record, each item starts with a checkbox in the gridview. Currently users can select multiple records and hit the order button and everything has worked well. Now I have multiple pages in my gridview, and if a user selects a few records from the first page, and then goes to the second page, all the records (checked checkboxes) disappear from the first page.
I create reports sometimes with a gridview and export the data to excel. Lets say I have like multiple gridviews and I wanted to export each gridview to excel under its own spreadsheet.
So gridview1, gridview2, gridview3 are exported to excel under $heet1, $heet2, $heet3.
I know how to export multiple gridviews to 1 excel sheet but I don't know how to export them separately under their own spreadsheet.
I've been researching online, and i'm continously searching, but does anyone know how to do what i'm trying to do with the gridview and excel or is this not possible?
I have gridview with 3 columns and one textbox in each column. My requirement is when i paste 3 cells of copied data from excel to textbox in first column of gridview automatically 2nd cell data has to be pasted in textbox of 2nd column and 3rd cell data to textbox of 3rd column of gridview. How can it be done and can anyone provide the best code.

I have a page in which i need to show data in the form of a grid. Each row in the grid is made up of 2 sub-rows, the first sub-row consists of a dropdown, a textbox & a textarea. Whatever is entered in these controls should be displayed in the second sub-row in the form of labels at runtime (i.e. using javascripts)
There can be multiple rows like this. The grid would have a max of 30 row, not more than that. create this which one would be better, in terms of performance & complexity, a GridView or a DataRepeater?

I have a page where you can add a contact. It contains all the information for a contact and an address for a contact. Here's my code for when you submit the form:

Now my main concern is that the address is added successfully, but then an error occurs when I try to save the contact, leaving the address in the database with no contact.
What's the best practice here for rolling back any changes if an error occurs?
I am not able to find the projects related to working with excel sheets by using ClosedXML to refer. I have an excel book which contains two sheets.
In sheet 01: In column A: In B: In C:
Student name01 Student's phone number blabla
Student name02 Student's phone number blabla
Student name03 Student's phone number blabla
In sheet 02: In column A: In B: In C:
course name01 computerscience blabla
course name02 dhfsthshbstgs blabla
course name03 garsfghsefrgs blabla
now, I would like to see in two comboboxes (all the words/text presented in the column A) from two sheets, the student name and course name and then I want select any student name and course name of my choice. Afterwards, when I click on a button, my program should display the students phone number and the course name (from column B from both sheets) and related things present in the Column C D E.. of the selected things in combobox in a label or a in a textbox.
PS: I solved the following problem: I can select student name in one combobox and print the the corresponding data from the only one column B (but I worked only with one sheet). It is bit complicated for me to continue with two sheets.
Would it be better to have a sp return multiple result sets and use NextResult() or have subsequent call to dr.execute.... () and hadle one result at a time?
To me using nextResult() on a multiresult datareader would be cleaner and easier - but it does not seem to be very "atomized". I guess I am wondering can the cost of executing multiple commands be neglected? Seems like executing multiple commands and receiving a single result set would also be easier to read/test/understand.
