I am not using any database for data source.I can enter the some value in text box and the entered value is automatically added in the gridview.How can i validate not adding same item numbers in gridview.And i also calculated grand total for amount column.If i remove any records means how to recalculate current total.Any one can tell solution for this issue.I am waiting for reply ASAP.

The Add template is located outside the grid view and if user clicks on the button, it will load the grid view that is populated with data as there is a row of empty fields at the bottom. However when I click on the Add Template button, the grid view does not appear.

When user like to update the datasource he will select one row from gridview then in selected indexchanged event i would display the selected row values beneath the form under the grid , Then user will update the contents displayed from grid and click an update button which is outside the grid . After updating the displayed row , i got to get the values of the next row in the grid and display them for next updation , i'e if users maually selects row 3 from grid then he can update the values using the update button and then on update click itself i'll have to display next row contents of row 4 and this process could go on .

If i have a page which displays all the data but with only a few fields, then i select one of the data and then i want to be able to view that data with all the fields related to that data on another web page.
I have been able to view the data in Grid view and enable the Select, Update, Insert and Delete. But not able to use the select button to view the information on another web page.

In a grid view i have used paging for that i have used the view state to store datatale to bind it on GridView1_PageIndexChanging event every thing works fine but the problem happens with the first column which is having the checkbox placed in each row .On navigation all checked check box becomes unchecked how to maintain the state of check box as well.this is the aaspx code

I am displaying some data in a grid view. I want to add another column in the grid which displays a check box for each row in the grid.
1. How do I give a new name to each textbox? example could be corresponding Case No value could be the text box name.
2. I have a button to read what checkboxes have been checked and initialize a string accordingly. For each checkbox checked it should add the corresponding row's "case no" value to a string.
