In the Gridview right now i able to show the link locations. But i want to have Hyperlink or Button in the links location in the Transcript Location fields.And on the click of which the txt or doc file opens up in notepad or microsoft word.

Jul 22, 2010I have a requirement where I need to generate a pdf doc.I am using itextlibrary for that condition.I am able to generate pdf doc but alignment is not correct.The table is getting divided in to two equal parts for two columns in pdf doc for what ever width I specify.For ex if I have set width as 650px its not taking that width in pdf doc instead it is taking full doc.How to set the table at desired location in pdf doc and set width of columns.I tried to set width of column in the html table but its not working.

Then Whe I try to click on the edit linkbuttin in the form view I have to click it twice to change the mode to edit.

I have a gridview with columns (pseudo-code):

what I would like to do is to only show the AuthorFirstName and AuthorLastName columns for the first row of each author. I am easily doing this with:

However the issue that I'm seeing now is the formatting what happens is that after the first row that the Author names are hidden but then the BookTitle and YearPublished become the new cell(0) and cell(1) respectively which means that book and year are displaying underneath the author names columns. so my goal is to do 2 things:
1 have BookTitle and YearPublished render under the correct headers and
2. For the second row and after I would like the cell to appear the same as the background, I dont want the user to be seeing what looks like an empty cell or textbox there.

So for some columns which would be single columns in normal conditions, I considered multiple columns for different culture. The Problem In a button event I add the class "validationError" to this textbox if the data is incorrect. When the grid gets rendered I expect to get 'controlName validationError as the class applied to the textbox. Unfortunately, it seems that the declarative statement overrides this and simply ends up as 'controlName' how I can intercept the application of the declarative class so that I get what I desire here?

May 7, 2015In one of my Web Page, there is one Modal Pop up, in which I am using Gridview Edit, Update, CancelEdit, Delete functionality.Main functionality is : If while deleting any of the Gridview Row, if only 1 row remains in Gridview (that row can be any row), then that row should not get deleted.Rest of Edit, Update, CancelEdit functionally is working fine.

problem is: When any last row is left in Gridview, its Delete button is disables that time (as per requirement and functionality). But when user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button, update section opens, and at that time "Delete" button gets Enabled, so that time user can delete the last row of Gridview which should not be done.I had fixed this problem for "Cancel" and "Update" button of Gridview using below line:
Response.Redirect(Request.Url.AbsoluteUri); but unable to fix it for "Edit" button of Gridview. If Last row is left in Gridview , and user clicks on Gridview "Edit" button of that row, then at that time "Delete" button should not get "enabled" it should remain "disabled"

Dec 1, 2010I have a Listview in ASP.NET 3.5 page. When I press the Edit button it takes about 10 seconds before the screen is refreshed.
I have disabled ViewState and SessionState with no improvement to response time.
