Jan 12, 2010I put a link on a datagrid that when loaded is attacehd to a url from the DB. Well when the Db holds nothing for that URl I need to be able to redirect to antoher page. Here is what I have so far. But It does not work, still using asp.net 1.1. Am i doing this correct or is there a different way.

Dec 11, 2010I have a datagrid, I want to merging cell. I want my datagrid look like this

I want to merge the cell programmitically when ItemDataBound.
1,2,3,...,31 are material date request. If I request Material B with quantity 4500 from 2nd until 4th the cell will be merge.
I already read about Merge Cell in Gridview in this forum, but this solution is different with datagrid.

Mar 11, 2011I have a situation where i need to update my Dropdownlist templatefield inside a GridView....but only for a specific cell. I have seen codes like this to loop through the whole GridView and update every rows in a specific column, but how do i do it if i only want to update one specific cell ? (If i know the index information of the cell, for example, I know i want to update the dropdownlist on Column 3 and Row 2)

Mar 10, 2010I am banging my head with gridview at the moment. There's a problem I just can't get my head around. I'd be very greatful for any advice given. I have a function that creates a DataTable with three columns and four rows. In each of the cells I set the text to a random number through RowDataBound event. I would like to just make the cell clickable and have a code-behind function that gets the position of the cell (column, row) and the value of the cell when the user clicks it.

Mar 16, 2011I have a datagrid which displays a list of user data, such as name, his or her status, age. I have created a list of rows of user data but where the column shows status for example Single, Married, i want it to create a dropdown list where i can easily change the user status by selecting it from a dropdown and clicking the update button at the top of the datagrid. The update button will update all records that have been changed not just from the dropdown. I assume the dropdownlist requires a columnbinding event but i can't find any straight forward tutorials.

What I want to do is display that content into categorized columns in a DataGrid based on the ID number of the record. Each category would have a category name (header) and have listed underneath the subject with the NavigateURL pointing to another page to display the full content.

This code works perfectly fine , depending on the ishyperlink flag in the database...specific cells in the grid are made clickable and then redirected to page2.aspx My Issue: I need to capture which specific cell in which specific grid the user has clicked. store some information in sessions based on the cell clicked and use that information in page2.aspx.
