No data is loaded when the button (btnSearchWrd) is clicked. Instead, in the Firefox Error console, it listed these two errors:Error: item is undefinedError: ys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Could not determine a MetaTable. A MetaTable could not be determined for the data source '' and one could not be inferred from the request URL. Make sure that the table is mapped to the dats source or that the data source is configured with a valid context type and table name, or that the request is part of a registered DynamicDataRoute.

The purpose of this is to allow someone to look at a bunch of records, and in a dropdownlist add an item to a group, but this "group" is in a separate table, so I want to take whatever value that select in the dropdown menu, lookup their user id, and add both bits of information to the other table, so it's technically not even editing, even though i suspect I'll need to use the edititem template?

Mar 3, 2011My problem is as follows:I have a gridview that get populated from a stored procedure in my MS SQL database. This gridview has a column that is a link field that I click to navigate to a new page that should display the correct info in the relevant labels.So the gridview returns say five diffrent rows of companies (and this work great by the way) and lets say that the 'company name' is the link field column that I meantioned earlier. So now I the company name and this navigates me to the Company.Aspx page, which so far is all working well.What I cant seem to get right is how to pas the correct row of the the passed dataset to display in the correct label fields, here is a brief snippet of what I mean:

The problem now is that the page does not communicate directly to the database. Instead, I use HTTPrequest to get all the user names from a different sever. Now I want to populate the listview control w/ the response that I got (and not directly from the database).

Jan 15, 2010I have a Listview control that DataBind programatically... ie I am NOT using SqlDataSource or such... I am attempting to sort a column... clicking on a link button that fires the "Sorting" event. So, after cliking on the column heading... I end up in this routine, where I hardcoded the .Sort = values (just for testing). The code is executed... but the RESULT show via Listview remains the SAME. No change!
How to fix this? I've seen some other posts examples that uses this event (ListView1_Sorting) and then sort via LINQ. I am not ready to try that...
Just want to know why dsPaymentList.Tables[0].DefaultView.Sort does not work?

Nov 22, 2015This is what i want to do with my website. I want to pull data from an access query and and load it into a listview table. The user will sort through the data on the website and remove the rows she doesn't want. After the user is done, they will click a send button that will email the data to the appropriate party.I have read the access query data into a data table. I have the list view table built, but I am unsure how bind the data table into the listview table. Is this the best route to go? Will binding the datatable to the listview table allow the user to delete rows out of the datatable?

Jun 1, 2010My stored Procedure returns two tables say table1 and table2. When I try to fill the dataset, table1 is filling properly and table2 filling only one row of the table remaining rows coming empty. There is no error when I compile the code. And the output is an empty page.

When the final DataTable is filled and added to the DataSet the page must then continue processing utilizing this DataSet I have figured out how to implement delegates to asynchronously retrieve my DataTables but I'm unclear how to add them to a DataSet in a thread-safe manner. How is this best accomplished? Before processing I know how many DataTables there will be, so what is the best way to track the progress of the asynchronous retrievals and allow the page to continue only after I have all of the data?

Example, if my dataset only returns 1 item, the value of that item needs to be 0

ListView and my reference material tells me to go into the "Configure ListView..." option under the ListView's smart tag, the only problem is I don't have that option, the only three options in my smart tag are "Choose DataSource", "Configure DataSource..." and "Refresh Schema", what am I doing wrong?
