how can i access the headertext of a templatefield of a gridview on mouseover and display it in a label control?

I am unable to get it done as i have huge data in my table which is spoiling the standard look and feel of grid view..

Now the odd thing at run-time is, whenever a client-side mouseover event is triggered, the app does a full postback. That happens only in firefox.

We can set value in the *.aspx or design view by using <%# bind("str_isi") %> like the asp:label control with ID=lblGvPengumuman but how we can set value in code behind?

The function call is working, but my problem lies with providing the Datafield="UserName" value from the same row in GridView in the function call

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a template field which has four itemtemplates that each hold a label in a gridview. These labels are always constant with the same strings. What I want to do is change the css formatting of these four labels depending on the value of a column. So the css formatting would have to be done for each row, not the whole column. I bind the gridview to a dataaccesslayer so there is no sqldatasource on the page. Does anyone have any idea how to do this and where it would be done. I will have the dataview with the data sorted in the correct order. The actual column that is used to alter the CSS will not be in the gridview although I could assign it to the datakeyname if that makes it easier as the data is not sensitive.
View 1 RepliesIn my gridview, I have 6 columns. The first 5 columns are filled with data retrieved from database.In the 6th column I want to display a value from textbox from same form. The value should be displayed on the row next to last row of rest of the columns. So my last column (i.e.) 6th column will just have all the rows filled with the same value of the text box.
First 5 columns of grid will be filled by selecting the college name from dropdown.The last colum (Date) must be filled with the date that is given in the textbox.It can be even after button click event(date of attendence).

I have a "simple" gridview that has some columns, and the ability for editing/deleting. I recently found that I can change the editing textbox to a dropdownlist and have follow that, using:

It's quite simple and instead of using an sqldatasource, I have successfully implemented using the sqlclient in the codebehind to bind data only when I want (since this GridView is for "reports" and is queried by many parameters from user inputs).From what I've found online, the only way people have populated the dropdownlist is by using an sqldatasource - is there any way to populate it using the codebehind sqlclient like I have for binding the gridview and other dropdowns on the page that are exactly the same actually. I'd obviously have to set the SelectedValue to be what the value is coming from the database, which I can't see being that difficult.
The tough part seems to be knowing when to access this "MoneyTypeEdit" dropdownlist. I thought it would be in the RowEditing event, so I tried something like:

And I know everything outside of the "inserted code" works, because it was fine before I added that, but the dropdown obviously didn't have any values. And I know the code inside the "inserted code" works because I use it somewhere else on my page to populate a similar dropdown. But I get the error that MoneyTypeEdit is null, and I'm guessing it's because it can't find the "MoneyTypeEdit" dropdownlist.
I am currently working in asp.net. I am showing list of employees where I want that when user takes the mouse on any employee's image it should show a small window just beside the pointer which shows some of the details of that employee.

User control consists of 2 textboxes and one dropdown.
There is one button outside the gridview on the form. On click of that button i have to save the values of usercontrol's (child controls i.e textbox and dropdown values) but i am not able to get the values of user controls.
I am able to get User Control using LoadControl and child controls using FindControl but not able get values i am getting textbox values as blank and dropdown value as 0th selected index even though there is value entered by the user.

In the gridview there is another templatefield "Name" that consist of two boundfields("Firstname" and "Lastname") This column is added in the design phase and not in the codebehind.I don't have any trouble finding these controls using the ID added in the markup

I have a table with lots of fields. To display every record that has lots of columns on a web browser will inconveniently force the users to drag the scrollbar to the right.
Is it possible to divide each record to two or three inner rows in gridview?

I am trying to dynamically create radio buttons based on one of the grid column. If the grid has four rows, it means that there are 4 time slots in the time column and I need to display 4 radio buttons after click of a button on the page. I am able to display radio buttons but dont know how to display dynamically based on grid
