Aug 3, 2010open a pdf in webtext editor? If not is there any alternative? Also is there any API available , which will convert a pdf to html with mininum damage to formattings?

Apr 14, 2010I'm using "open WYSIWYG" editor which can downloaded from "http://www.openwebware.com/" in my asp.net application. Which can be applied the style by using the following

It will add the styles there is no problem on this . My question is, i have a "Required field validator" for "txtMessage" text box(which is a asp.net server control). After attach the style to "txtMessage" the required field validator not functioning well.If i remove or comment the above script tag means it works fine. I don't knw whats the reason behind this.

In another part of the page I have a simple dropdown to select a note and view it. When you push view it loads the text which was entered in via the editor control.
If the user used an order or unordered list. The text shows up but not the list part.

Mar 17, 2011Here is what I need to to. I have a gridview which I have a column that has a link to a pdf file on our file server. When I click the link I need to go into a database and update a column that they clicked the link then I need to open the file. by usinga HyperLinkField I am able to put in the link that I want to go to and when the page is running I can click on the link and it goes to the page and everything works fine except for being able to update the database part.

I tried using a ButtonField where in the code behind in the GridView1_RowCommand I pull out the file path and put it into a response write statement the problem I'm having with it is that when it opens the file it removes all the ""s so I get the error file cannot be found.

Nov 11, 2010i have a gridview and in that there is a dropdown and hyperlink hyper link href changes accordingly by dropdown thats working fine... i need to open the file of any type in browser/Application e.g .doc should open in ms word/browser, .xls should open in ms excell and .pdf should open in acrobat reader, if application is not installed on the machine it should ask to save it.
i have a folder in d:program filesCRM...Library and i want to access these files from it after searching on Google i come to know its impossible to access files from different drives and folders other than virtual directory?? so i made virtual directory of library(it has a small white icon on the folder in iis) under my localhost [URL] website when i access any file e.g. [URL] it just throws error resource could not be found???
