How can I use postbackurl with a formview in master detail after I insert an item in the formview which is at the bottom of a big page? The master detail is inside a tab container

I have looked at other examples and they do NOT show how to drill into the tabcontainer, then drill into the listview, and then locate the extender value. Here is what I have so far. My "TABCONTAINER" value shows the extender correctly but I am unable to locate it.

When I want to optimize my tab container for network traffic, I faced a rare problem.
When first time the page is requested the content in the first panel is visible. the other panel content are invisible. When user switches the tab i am setting the panel visible and update the updatepanel. this works fine after i have put the tab container inside a update panel and set the update mode conditional and children as trigger as false. But when i include the tab container inside an update panel and change the tab in the browser, i see two postback from the browser in firebug net traffic window. THe first postback status is displayed as aborted. Eventhough the functionality is working correct.

I am using TabContainer with some controls on each tab (asp: labels, text boxes). When redirecting to the page that contains the TabContainer, the tabs and their content loads as expected, but when there is a postback, and the page refreshes, the TabContainer UI changes - the font size of the labels gets bigger, the text boxes become bigger and their location changes a bit (not aligned as before), and the tab header is partially hidden. I am using IE7.
I dont know if this is relevant but in some of the text boxes i use edit mask extender as well for date. Also, I have used a table inside the TabContainer for layouting the controls.

My setup is as follows: I have 4 tabs of data, all of which are invisible when the page loads. The user enters some search criteria, hits the search button, and then the first tab fills up a gridview with data and becomes visible. One of the columns in this grid is a linkbutton named 'detail'. When they click on 'detail', the 3 remaining tabs go and get their data from the database and become visible. On tab#2, I have a listview which allows editing/adding of data. Here is my problem: When I click the imagebutton on the listview that puts the listview into edit mode, the data from the first tab is now shown on the second tab.
So the correct tab (tab#2) remains selected, but the other tab's data is being displayed. Has anyone else run across this? I have tried numerous combinations of update panels and triggers but I always get the same results. Also, the last 3 tabs each contain a usercontrol. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
I made a usercontrol consisting of an AJAX tab control, a textbox, and a gridview. The gridview is pulling data from a SQL database. When the gridview is outside of the tab control and I begin to enter text into the textbox, quicksearch begins to filter the information in the gridview. When i put the gridview and textbox inside an AJAX tab control quicksearch does not work. How do i need to structure the textbox and the gridview on an ajax update panel to get it to work?
View 1 RepliesI have a page that has a TabContainer to present and edit various pieces of information. On one of the tabs, there is a ListView control that allows in-place editing. The ListView works great when it is not contained in the tab. When it is in the tab, the Edit button works, but once it is in edit mode, none of the buttons will fire (update or cancel). Does anyone know of a conflict between the TabContainer and the ListView controls? I am thinking that I might try out jQuery UI to see if the tabs work any better.

When the page is first loaded, the hyperlinks are displayed correctly. however, after editing a record and saving the changes, the 'View Results' column loses the hyperlink.
I tried creating a temp hyperlink column outside a loginview control and this seems to work correctly.

I have really stucked at a big problem using the AsyncFileUpload inside a TabContainer. It seems that when I have put the AsyncFileUploadControl inside a TabPanel in the TabContainer and now switch tab manually by clicking I receive an error that is another codefile than the .cs file. I cant understand what is causing this error ?

I have a webform that has a formview (fvwContract) and inside itemtemplate there is a Tabcontainer with three tabs (invoice (spanish: factura), receipt (spanish: recibo) and beneficiary (spanish: beneficiario). I have another formview inside invoice tab (fvwFactura) with many textboxes that I need to manipulate in code behind. The thing is that I can´t reference any of them like the following:

I have a asp.net page that contains a Ajax TabContainer control with three tabs, this is all dynamically created and added using the code-behind file. Inside each tab I have one or more gridview controls that can cause a postback for various reasons.
When a gridview control causes a postback, the entire tabcontainer gets hidden on the page and therefore nothing is displayed. In the HTML source code I can see that the controls have been added to the page, but the tabcontainer has a style added to it (style="visibility: hidden"]. If I remove this style using the developer tools, the tabcontainer displays and all tabs, but some of the styling gets lost. Is there a specific reason why this occurs and how I can resolve this?
This probably has been asked many times before but I was wondering how to maintain the ActiveTabIndex of an AjaxControlToolKit TabContainer. The only way I can think of achieving such a thing is to store the ActiveTabIndex in the session and checking for this on postback. Are there any other solutions to solve this problem?
View 2 RepliesI design a page which contains one dropdownlist, gridview1 and gridview2. All of them extract data from the same table (a SqlDataSource). The Gridview1 is used to edit, update data with edit, update and cancel button. My problems are:
1. After update gridview1, the dropdownlist and gridview2 don't update data.
2.After updata gridview1, the gridview1 resets to its original state if refresh page.
