Forms Data Controls :: Retrieving Data From Database To Populate CheckBoxList - C#

I am somewhat new at C# so forgive me if I have something listed wrong. This is what I got:
I am working on a school project designing a car dealership website. I have an inventory list that allows you to edit any car in the inventory. When you click on the edit button it takes you to the edit page and populates the controls with selections from the database. I have an options table that stores the VehicleID and Option ID. When the page loads it fills all the DropDownLists for the vehicle info with the data and selects the correct item according to the database selection but the CheckBoxList does not select the items that are on the Options table. I checked the query in SSMS and it returns the correct data. I have stepped through the method and it works till the "(currentCheckBox != null) if statement. It doesn't throw any errors but it also doesn't select items when the page renders.
I thought it might have been something with the page life cycle since databound controls don't render until the end but the DropDown's I have fill and selects the correct item according to the database.

i have been trying to solve this issue for over a month and i tried many different things
i want my shopping cart list box to have items in it then I save all of those items in a session variable. I pull that session out on my checkboxlist page and I want it to autocheck all the items that were in my previous listbox that are now in the session
I also want to to this the other way so I can check a new item in my checkboxlist and I want it to automatically put the item in the listbox The issues I have been getting is a ListItem error or a List<Product> Error it does not work no matter what ways I try it

i have a checkboxlist with a controlparameter. the flow of my page is
1) enter value into textbox eg: empid - 098765
2) on text box leave event ,im gettin data from db based on value enter in textbox and fill the labels in form
eg: select * from empmaster where empcode = '098765'
lblcode = MD lbldesignation = "Managing director'
3) based on the value filled in label am populating checkboxlisteps in text
select skill from behaviour where jobcode = lblcode.text (MD)
i have write all the above 3 steps in textbox_textchange event.Now i wanted to know after which event, checkboxlist will populate.coz iniside the textbox_text change event when i count the checkboxitems it always says 0.but it got items.so when it will populate checknboxlist?

I have a page where I will insert all the data into the database. The page where I'm having problems is when I select an item from the checkboxlist it only displays one item. The data which is displayed is only the one that was inserted with one selected item from the checkboxlist. The following code is the page I'm using to try to retrieve the data from the database. I am trying to do is when a user selects the first, second, or third, or fourth item. The corresponding data appears in the gridview. In my current code, the record which has one item selected appears. If the user has more than one selected it does not appear. It comes up as empty. Is there a way I can do it?

I have dynamically popute the data in Dropdownlist(Countries) and the On selected index event of Dropdownlist there is noeed to bind /populate the Checkbox list from database depending on the selections made from the Dropdownlist.
For example If I select Gujrata then all the cities of Gujrat should be visible and bounded to the check box list.
2) Once the checkbox list is bounded with data from the database, We need to select the checkbox from the checkboxlist and pass tyhe selected text of all the selected checkboxes fro the checkbox list as comma seperated values to database and then I need to Display in the Grid.

i have web application it should create single HTML page . that one HTML page should send to the customers.how to create HTML page .i created one page but it retriveing single record from the databse values . my problem is i have to pull all the records from the database and papulate the HTML page. but i am getting only onerecord on that page.my code as follows

I have a search option which a person can use a multi select listbox. I have it coded so it would loop through to see if its selected or not. I also have a stored procedure where the sql statement is coded for the select statement. For some reason, its not populating my gridview. Where am I doing wrong? I've the user creation form where a user will be created by entering username. Below that is checkboxlist for UserGroup which is binded with the dataset with the all the usergroup. Hence up on entering the username and checkbox selected(as the user can belong to multiple UserGroups).At database end, there are basically 3 tables-
Users(UserID,UserName)
UserToGroup(UserID,GroupID)
Groups(GroupID,GroupName)
So when i click create new user, the UserId along with GroupID(whichever checked) is saved into UserToGroup table.Im relative to this kind of process and hence facing setbacks. Can somebody help in end to end process. From front to DB SP.

I need to create a gridview to show in each row, some columns from the SQL Database, and in other columns I want to have text fields, buttons and DropDownLists!
This GridView is to display the users of the web application.
First columns are name, email, and other stuff that can be easly queried to the SQL database.
Then, I need to have a column with one text field, and some buttons, in the text field the AdminUser should be able to insert some text and then click in a button to change the email/pass from the user represented in that line.
The other field I need, is a DropDownList that shows by default the Role of the user of the row, but we can choose another role and apply it, with a button in the same cell!
If I create a code-Behind query and populate the GridView, I don't know how to insert textbox's, button's, DropDownList's
If I create the GridView with the wizard, I can had TemplateFields, but I don't know how to associate the query with the BoundFiels where should be the name/email of the users.
Other problem, is that, even If I get to construct my GridView with sucess, How can I reference the row? So I can apply the changes?

I have a listview. Inside the EditItemTemplate of this listiview I want to show a Checkboxlist that has 5 checkboxes; S, M, L, XL, XXL. The values (checked / unchecked) of these checkboxes are dependent on a linq query. The linq query just retrieves the values from columns in a table. The columns are S, M, L, XL, XXL (same name as checkboxes for convenience) and all have datatypes bit. What I want now is to be able to databind this query result to this CheckBox list.

On my webpage, jobs.aspx, I have a gridview which is populated from my database. I would like it so that when a row in the gridview is clicked, the ID of the row from my database can then be passed through as a query string to a second webpage, details.aspx, where more information about what was clicked on will be displayed.
I'm confident about being able to pass the query string, I just need help with getting the corresponding row's data ID from my database and making the gridview click-able, which will be the interaction which specifies which ID to be retrieved.

and live ([UserId] = @UserId), i get the error : Must declare the scalar variable "@UserId".

I'm currently developing an ASP.net application w/ VB as the code behind. I have a page that shows all the user name currently assigned to the system. The problem now is that the page does not communicate directly to the database. Instead, I use HTTPrequest to get all the user names from a different sever. Now I want to populate the listview control w/ the response that I got (and not directly from the database).

I would like the user to select an item from a drop down list. Next to the drop down is a textbox or label control. From the ddl selection I would like to populate the textbox or label from a database with a corresponding field from the database the dropdownlist was populated from. On selectindexchange event I can populate the textbox with the Unique id from the value, but I need to input a different field into the textbox. Can I use some sort of variable to assign the Textbox.Text = ?
