A new row could be added to the grid by selecting an item in a combo box/dropdown in the Product column which would be populated from a DB query.
The only columns that could be manually edited would be the product dropdown, and the qty column (could be dropdown or textbox). I think there would need to be an add button once the product and qty columns were populated. Does anybody have any pointers on the best place for me to start here?
My site is currently ASP.NET 4.0 and I am using TabContainers and the CalendarExtender from the AJAX Controol Toolkit project. So a solution using parts of that project would be perfectly acceptable.

i have a grid view with all columns as TemplateFields( No BoundField). Based on certain condition i have to set Visibility of few columns false. Suppose when there is no column 'CaseList2' in the DataTable, then the second column of the grid (whose column index is 1 )should be invisible. But when the Gridview binds it gives error DataBinding: 'System.Data.DataRowView' does not contain a property with the name 'CaseList2'
How do you use the http POST method with a Grid View on another page. I am trying to use the POST method to send the ID from the selected row of a Grid View, I am using a link button set to fire the select command and it has the Post Back URL set, from one page and then retrieve the ID value on another page using an Object Data Source. Also, under the Defining Parameters, I am setting the ID parameter to Form Parameter Source and have entered the Grid Views name in the Form Field.
When a Product is deleted, I am simply displaying a message to User like "Are U sure ....". I am doing it like:

But Now, my requirement is that I want to display "Product Name" with in the message like "Are U sure U want to delete <Product Name>". How can this be done??
adding a product from my datalist. The code to add a new product works on the page where you can check out the product a little closer, but not in this "overview" of all products. When I hit the buy button, I get this error(translated from swedish): "The sequence don't contain any elements"
im using listview to display my products and also use pager and count 10 item per page. my problem is, when i click one of the products to see big image and info about the product (in new page) i have some back button to return to the products page its return to number 1 even if i select product from pager 8, how can i return to the page were the last product was (like: 8 or 14) and not to the first pager?

I have a gridview displaying the items in the shoping cart. I want the customer to be able to change the size of the item he or she has chosen to buy. I have therefore added a dropdownlist inside the edititemtemplate. I would like to display all sizes that are available in the database in the dropdownlist, but don't know what the sql-statement would look like.
The problem is it's display all the other item's attributes and not what kind of attributes that is left, for example Medium, Large, X-Large. how to implement the sizes into a dropdownlist and the sql-statement looked like this:
I'm writing new section to a website and am looking to use a UI similar to the MSDN Download page with the Product Details and Keys in an accordian like section. Haven't been able to find a description of how this is done as of yet - still looking though but figured I'd ask if there is an available control or a description of that control instead of reinventing it.
i build some shopping cart. I have Datalist that display products from SQL table (id, productName, productPrice) and "Add" button. After the user click the button the product appear in the GridView (im using Session DataTable) until now all fine and work greate! in every product i need to add 2 checkboxlist from SQL tables (its some extra to the product). How can i get the items the user was checked and put them with the product name in the same datatable coloumn? the aspx code:

When user like to update the datasource he will select one row from gridview then in selected indexchanged event i would display the selected row values beneath the form under the grid , Then user will update the contents displayed from grid and click an update button which is outside the grid . After updating the displayed row , i got to get the values of the next row in the grid and display them for next updation , i'e if users maually selects row 3 from grid then he can update the values using the update button and then on update click itself i'll have to display next row contents of row 4 and this process could go on .
I have Parent/Child Grid (also called Nested Grids).
Parent Grid (PG) :: PG has two template fields. 1st template field has "Category ID" and 2nd template has Child Grid
Child Grid (CG) :: CG is populated in PG's RowDataBund event based on "Category ID". In CG's DataBound event, I am doing something which I need to display in CG's footer row.
Problem :: In the footer row of each CG, I have to show the "Category ID" which is in PG' row. How can I get hold of the PG's row which hascurrent nested grid (there will 'n' child grids, one for each 'Category ID' in the PG ) so I can read the "Category ID"
I was thinking if I could do something (DataBound event of CG) like this..

I am trying to create a second grid in the same page with detailed info for a given record of the first Grid, but when I press select in the first grid nothing happens. I follwed everything I read.

I'm using ASP.NET/VB and am wanting to nest a grid inside of another grid. I've seen them but am unsure how to make them work. I have a Orders table with an OrderID and it is linked to a Orders_Detail table. I would like to be able to select the order and see the details. I've done it differently with 2 grids outside of each other, but this isn't the solution I need.
