i have a page which generate check boxes dynamically and i have the following event which fires every time a user click on any of the check boxes

My question is how can i get the text of the check box that has been trigger by the user?

well i am new to Grid View , so i am taking a simple scenario. well i have a visual webpartin sharepoint ; i have added a grid view with first column is of CheckBox Type & it has a Button & aLabel
i populate the grid view from an array of cities & i want that when button is clicked all the checked cities are appended in to the label.

while working i found that when button is clicked the page_load function build the grid view again & there fore all check boxes are initialised .

When the user clicks a button, the dataset gets refreshed twice. I solved 2 problems with adding ids to anchors like id="tabsA-1" and simulating the postback for

which selectedTabIndex is a public string var in code_behind and i update its value in page_load. one funny problem was that the .tabs( 'select' , index ) in JQuery is not zero-based index of the tab as the official site said and it start from 1.

I am using a gridview contaning name and status as fields, all the names and status are fetched from the database.initially all the status value will be "0" in database once it is aproved it will be chaged to "1"In gridview the all the values are displayed as "approve" which is "0" when i click on that approve a javascript confirm prompt askin "do you want to approve??"
if i select ok the approve is changed as "Activated" once it is activated the value will be updated as "1" in database.
