Way To Dynamically Adjust The Height Of The <div> For The Treeview Menu
Apr 4, 2010
the design of my page because of the treeview menu. I am using a treeview for the purpose of issuing accessibility of users regardless of their position. Actually, the treeview menu control overlay the footer whenever I expand on it. How am I be able to dynamically adjust the height of the <div> for the treeview menu.
i want to adjust image height and width in formview.. some images are tooo big and some are to small ...so i want if images are tooo small then they should be display in original size
I want to embed a silverlight app into a web page and have the height/width of the div that contains the silverlight control match the dimensions of the actual size of the silverlight control.
I essentially want the div to stretch to accommodate the size of the silverlight control. I do not know what size the silverlight control will be before it loads as it is pulling in data and adding controls dynamically. I want to avoid dueling scroll bars and use only the browser scroll bars.
I need this to work in both IE and Firefox. Is there a way to accomplish this?
I have a code where I fill some random text into a textBox. In this example there is more content than the textBox can show so the vertical scrollbar is shown in the textBox.
I wonder if there is a way to adjust the height of the textBox instead automatically so all contents can be seen instead of seeing the scrollbars ?
I have a page that will display up to 4 videos at a time.. BUT i would like to see if there is any way to calculate and set the width and height according to the number of videos im presenting..
If only one video, i want it to take up the entire width and height of the space i have allocated.. ( say thats 1000w x 800h )
If im displaying 2 videos, then split that space up between the 2 and so on.. keeping the aspec ratio so not to distort the video window..
Right now im hard coding each one 400x300 which looks good when there are 4 laid out on the page.. just want to see how doable is this to accomplish..
I am writing our file to a web page, and have already figured out how to change the target of an iFrame when one of the Treeview's nodes is clicked so that the user is taken to the correct page of the file (mixture of javascript and treview properties).
What I can't figure out is how to adjust the treeview control when the user clicks on a link in the target page and is taken to a different file page. Absent any other action, the treeview control would still show the wrong node as being selected after the page is selected.
Is there a way to add/delete/update the default classes (for instance AspNet-Menu-WithChildren,AspNet-Menu-NonLink ) of the html generated by the asp.net menu or treeview control? I am using CSSAdapters so the menu control renders in a list format instead of table format.
I'm looking for a good jQuery or CSS, or combo, library to enance my left side menu in an an intranet application. I don't like the 'hover only' expand/collapse style of the ASP.NET Menu control on its own, and I don't like the 'icon-click only' expand/collapse style of the TreeView control on its own.
I plan on trying the CSS Control Adapters, to render the menu with some self-respect, i.e. as nested <ul> or <ol> elements instead of the usual orgy of tables. Beyond that, I need something to give a bit of style and menulike behaviour to these nested lists, and I would prefer a jQuery plugin for this. Which should I use?
I'm working on a ASP.Net web page with two tables positioned in the center of the page with one on top of the other. The table on top contains input fields that are dynamically generated by the code-behind, so the number of input fields varies. The table on the bottom contains content that is constant and doesn't change. The layout of the page is fixed and must remain so. My question is, how do I make the bottom table dynamically adjust vertically so that it doesn't overlap with the fields from the top table. The general HTML layout of the page is something like the following:
[code]...
I'm thinking I could wrap the bottom table in a div, but I'm not sure what specific styling will achieve the desired effect. I basically want to maintain the fixed positioning horizontally, but have the vertical alignment adjust to prevent overlap with the top.
UPDATE:
Here is a screen cap that shows the two tables overlapping. The buttons you see are in the bottom table, the fields are supposed to be on the top, all elements are positioned absolutely in the center of the browser screen.
UPDATE 2:
I updated the HTML sample above with the styles that are currently in use.
i have this situation: i have to build a menu with datasource from the db, because i have to filter them among the user that is loged in. i have tried building a menu using repeater, and all this works fine till i realized that i wanted the menu with more than two levels. i have also tried with treeview, but i really don't want this solution (problem with the style and the treeview doesn't have a pretty view).
I have an asp:Table. Its with is 100%. This table has only one row but 6 columns. The width of first 5 column is fixed at 150px. The last one does not have its Width specified and so it takes up the rest. The whole row has a background. If any of the first 5 column is clicked, the background of that cell is changed to white. In my development computer, the last column has about 250px. Yet in user computer, as the monitor has a smaller resolution, the last column has only 30px or so. User complains it is ugly and wish to merge the last column with the previous one. How to do so?
I set the page height(div) 600 px. i have a grid in the page if gridview records Increases page height also dynamically change. if there is no records in gridview page height should be the 600 px default.
I have a gridview inside a tabcontainer.I'm programitically binding to the gridview. All works fine, data is displayed. And after databinding I'm dynamically setting the tabcontainer height to that of the gridview so that the gridview doesn't overlap the tabcontainer and look all funky. This all works fine doing this...tabcontainer1.height = gridview1.heightUntil there is no data returned, in which case I get a really small tab container.Bascially if there is no data, I want the tabcontainer1.height = 500, and if there is data to set it to the height of the gridview.I tried this (plus other variations) but can't seem to get it to work.
i have an update panel, which contains a repeater inside. The repeater's data source will change on postback. The repeater will generate a div for each item.
I need to set the height of the div that is generated by the update panel to the actual total height of the div inside the repeater.
The characters that are entered in the text box will be displayed in the label at the button click event. Label is having fixed width for ex,200px but the height is not set for the label. By changing the characters in the text box,and firing the button click event the label will get populated with the text from the text box. At that time label width will be constant but height will change dynamically according to the no of characters entered in the textbox. Here I need to get the label height in pixels on the button click event?
I have a Imagebutton in gridview that displays an image when i click.I am using jaxToolkit:ModalPopupExtender control for display the image. The problem I have is that I only want it to display an image based on another fields like width and Height. After clicking the Image button the image should display exact width and height as in ImageWidth and ImageHeight fields in table. My table structure is Imageid bigint, ImageWidth bigint,ImageHeight bigint,Image varchar(128)
I am trying to add images and create a slide show in a fixed size div, when I add thumbnail image I would like to have for example 5 thumbnail side by side nad then move to the next row, I am using Ajax ReorderList to add images, how can I achieve this?
Has anyone successfully implemented a node specific context menu on a treeview in any web project?I have populated context menu on specific treenode and able to get the treenode tagname, but i am not able to select the tree node while i right click on the treenode. My code is as follows:
function ShowContextMenu() { var obj = window.event.srcElement; if(obj.tagName == "SPAN") { showhide('ctl00_menuHover','true',obj.tagName);//function to show/hide menu } } <asp:treeview id="trvMenu" runat="server" datasourceid="SiteMapDataSource1" xmlns:asp="#unknown"> CollapseImageToolTip="Collapse" ExpandImageToolTip="Expand" ShowLines="True" oncontextmenu="Javascript:ShowContextMenu();return false;">
i am creating a software., in that i want to form menu in treeview structure.the parent node, child node and sub child node location are stored in database table SQL 2005..using coding i have to display the treeview menu structure to the screen when the page loads and that too without any flickering on page load...i need in javascript or C#
