I have written a ASP.NET program for a customer, I want to add a message similar to "Preview version, ABD Consulting" on the master.master page, I had thought to use Response.write but it messes up the look of the page as it seems to move page elemets. If I use a label the customer can remove it from the Master.master file. The customer is in a different country so I want to ensure I'm paid.

Long ago, I created an ASPNET user for development use.However, every time I boot up my dev system, I'm presented with a user login for ASPNET, among others.I don't want to remove ASPNET; I need it for dev work.But how do I keep it from appearing among the list of User Logins available at boot-up?

Some of the textboxes are binded to required field validators.there is a validation control on the page and ShowMessage box is True.If they dont complete some of the text boxes then the message box pops Up with the error message.It does not however include information errors like "User already exists" or Email address already existsfrom the create user wizard membership UserName and Password Textboxesis it possilbe to hook all of these up so I get one message box with all errors including membership ones?

I can pick the data (I built a touch screen keyboard and I used javascript to write to the thextbox) from code behind using:
string textdisplaydata = this.Request.Form.Get("tbdisplay");
But I can't figure out the way to write back to the same display from code behind. In other words, I need to send a message back to the textbox from code behind. Because I did not defined the tbdisplay to runat="server", I can't see the control tbdisplay. Also, I can't run the tbdisplay at server because the keyboard doesn't work.
I have a button in my gridview recurring through the rows which requires confirmation before it deletes a record. Instead of it asking, "are you certain you want to delete this contact?" I want it to specifically ask the user, "are you sure you want to delete <the name of the contact>?" This is the button that I have at the moment and I have no idea how to place the contact's name in there:

Even though I specified the Code:Membership.DeleteUser(UserName, true);
I thought true is for bool deleteallrelated data, but it doesn't really delete the userInRole. So next time the user registers with the same name, it automatically get the "admin" role right. This "deleteUser" page I keep it inside a protected "admin"folder. How to solve it? Why Membership.DeleteUser(UserName, true) doesn't delete UserInRole?

I am working on a website that draws fractals on the screen. It was my intention that with a right mouse click the picture could be saved to the visitor's computer. But that I get an error message "filetype blocked".The file is called test.jpg and is drawn to the screen as a bitmap. Could anybody tell me how to 'unblock' the right mouse click so that a visitor can save a picture he or she likes?Maybe it would be possible to let people download the image? But how would that work?

I've downloaded blog engine .NET and looked at the code and I like the way they do it, but it's completely an overkill of what I need. What I need is only a title, author, date, and the blog post it self. I don't even want users to post comments or anything like that. My approach is to save all those blog post information into an xml and then when a page loads it loops around those xml files to show the blog post.

2). store it on server( images)
3). convert the images in avi
4). display the avi to the end user
I have a listbox (UsersListBox) which shows all the users and a gridview (gvRoles) which shows the users' roles when their username is selected in UserListBox. gvRoles is below. When I click the buttonfield in gvRoles, I'd like for my OnRowDatabound event to call up the gvRoles_RowDatabound method. I'm trying to get this method to remove the username selected in UserListBox from the role in the row clicked. How do I go about that using the roles and membership classes?

I do not want to support multiple software packages so I am thinking that I have some type of interface that allows a user to select what fields they want to input on a given screen. However, what is the easiest way to make this happen? I am thinking that I have some type of XML file that is read that a user can define.

I have upgraded web application from VS.2008 to vs 2010. I was using previously ReportViewer 2008 control in a page and replaced with 2010 ReportViewer Control.
I have installed the ReportViewer Redistributable also in my local pc as well as in the server. Also as per the new requirement I have placed the Scriptmanager in the web page where the reportviewer control located.
While running the page, the reportviewer run the report and is not showing the data on the screen. It shows the blank screen. But If I export the data to execl or world it is showing the data. Also the page numbers in the reportviewer showing the total pages available in the navigation bar. I am sure the report is running and bringing the data to the screen but not showing it.
The below is the exact scenario, One form will be there and when user click on "Edit" hyper link other window will open to get more details. In that new window also I have a grid or a table which has other hyperlink which lead to open other window and in that window I will enter few details and save it....
