i have created aspx pages with left navigation menu control... when ever mouse over the menu control some elements disappearing... that disappeared elements having position:relative CSS this problem having IE6.0 and IE7.0only
View 1 RepliesI've added a subarea to my sitemap in CRM 4.0, and for absolute URLs it works as expected. However, for relative URLs it does not. The page in question is internal and is accessed through:
http://localhost/ISV/<orgName>/Account.aspx/ExternalDocumentList
However, I would prefer writing this in sitemap:
/ISV/<orgName>/Account.aspx/ExternalDocumentList
When this is expanded, CRM/IIS rewrites it to:
http://localhost/<orgName>/ISV/<orgName>/Account.aspx/ExternalDocumentList
For reference, here is the sitemap addition (which doesn't work):

I have a panel in aspx page. In runtime an creating a panel and set the background image, and am adding the textbox in panel created at finally we added it in panel at aspx page. I give the the position as relative in the style property for the textbox that i added in runtime, and i gave the top and left position. First textbox is working well. from second textbox it not get place in the exactplace what i gave.

I desingned a page with tags, Now I want to access object tags in code behind.

Here I am adding runat=server in object tags it is giving error as
"An object tag must contain a Class, ClassID or ProgID attribute."
then I added class="System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label", now not giving any error but not showing anything in browser.
so My question is how do I access object tags in aspx.cs page? or I want to create a label with object tag that is accessible in code behind.
I currently have an Instance of the ASP.net ajax control toolkit combo box residing in a field set with a style of position:releative applied. The control also sits in a very plain table.
There are two problems with the display of the list:
The list does not sit flush with the text box. In I.E. 7 (which is the majority of my target audience, intranet where IE7 is the company standard) the list display about 10px below the fieldset, which is what the bottom margin of the fieldset is set to. In FF 2.0 the list sits sinificantly lower and off-set to the right.
Below the filed set there is more content in a div, also with a style of position:relative applied. The list from the combo box displays behind the content of this div, which is obviously an issue.
Removing position: releative from the fieldset resolves the display issue of the combo box, but results in other unwanted display side effects.
I just want to position the first label in a position on the left and then the start position of the second label at a position. I can't use relative because of the different lengths of the strings. But I the absolute will not work. I tried putting position relative in the cssclass phoneCostsStyle but it doesn't work.

Scenario is I have a application relative url like "~/path/to/page.aspx?query=string". I need to programatically create a web request to that page and currently using WebRequest.Create. The problem is WebRequest.Create requires a fully qualified url including the protocol/domain/port etc.I have access to the current Request.Url object but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get just the base url keeping the protocol (HTTP vs HTTPS) as well as any port numbers as well as the path to the applicationI mean all the info there, so if need be I could just take all the parts and combine them but it seems like it might be error prone and it would be great to have something built-in that's well tested to do the job. Page.ResolveUrl gets me almost there, but it's missing the protocol and the domain/port.

Then they click start, and this runs

1 - I am trying to create on the fly dynamic meta tags: keywords and description (possibly others later). I have managed to do so however when I view the source page I find the meta tags at the end of the Head tag and everything else is before them like reference to JS files and CSS files. I want them to be right after the title tag and then everything else is listed after them: css, js, javascript functions, etc.
2 - I am also trying to create dynamic ASPX pages. Meaning for example: I have a client who has a dynamic website that consists of 3 pages: home page, about page and contact page. He wants to add more pages to his website in the CMS software I created for him. He wants to add History.aspx page for example which is simply created using an editor (no fancy coding like gallery, products, news, etc) but when he hits the save button, I want the new page to be saved as a stand alone page and I want the navigation menu to be updated to the new links which one of them would be history.aspx. I don't want the page to be displayed as page.aspx?Id=history. I want it to have its own name. How can this be possible especially when it is not compiled and I want to add other aspx features such as the caching feature like:

I have a FormView and the SELECT statement I have is as follows:

<%= user.identity.name %> displays the name fine, so user.identity.name does contain the info I'm looking for.I am trying to figure out how to correctly format the SELECT filter to feed user.identity.name to the SELECT statement as a filter. ... or if there is an alternative way.
Question about paths while working in Visual Studio. In my master page I have some paths to load css files as well as javascript files.
My first question is if I use relative paths, should the relative path be from the location of the master page file? For example if I keep all my master page files in a folder off the site root called MasterPages should I assume that is the starting point for my relative paths to load the css files? If that master page is used to wrap an aspx file several directories down the tree is the hard coded relative path still valid?
Second question, is there a way to use absolute paths so that everything works on my local machine as well as when I move the files up to the webroot? For example my app path on my local machine may be localhost/myappdir/default.aspx but when i move the app to the server there is no myappdir and the default.aspx is in the webroot. I do not want to have to change paths in the files after they are moved up to the server. currently I have;
src="<%= VirtualPathUtility.ToAbsolute("~/lib/css/style.css")%>"
but this way Visual Studio cannot find the css file to update intellisence
I have got a master page(Project>>MasterPages>>MainPage.master) and some images in that page with some path like "../../Images/bg_main_menu.png".
I refer this master page in two forms. One of those form is oresent in the path :
Project>>Forms>>Form1.aspx and the other one is : Project>>Forms>>NewFolder>>Form2.aspx
Now for Form2.aspx the image is not getting loaded.
I tried the image path with "~Images/bg_main_menu.png". But it is not working.
Just posting this up as I've been searching all over the net for the last few hours and not found anything useful. What I need to do is set the tabindex on a content page so that when using keyboard navigation the form controls in one vertical column are selected first, and then the 2nd column. (rather than one row at a time).
My problem is this means that the "skip to content" and all the other links in the master page are bypassed and the first form control with a tabindex!=0 is jumped to. Is there any way to set the tabindex on a content page relative to the previous tabindex from the masterpage? (when no tabindex is set on the master page).
I was hoping at the top of the content page you could set relativetabindex or something like. we use many different masterpages that change fairly frequently so setting the tab index for every control on the page is a really horrible way to get round this. I'm hoping theres a nice .Net way of doing it and no javascript hacking has to be done!

I have a page that I am adding user controls to the bottom of the controls each postback. The User Control has a textbox in it and the focus needs to be on this newly created control textbox each time. It all works almost perfectly however when there are too many controls to fit on the page, because I set the focus to the textbox the bottom of the page is set to the textbox that has focus not the very bottom of the page. I have a submit button below this which ends up below the page limit. How can I set focus to a textbox but still scroll to the every bottom of the page to show the submit button.

The HttpPost of this simple form, will be handled by an action of my controller. This action will render a PartialView.The PartialView has a table that I fill with a ViewModel. Also it has another Ajax.BeginForm and another input button (Button 2). This new Ajax.BeginForm is handled by an action that has to do something with the data posted.
Here's the thing: I click the Button 1, fill the table and everything is going well, but after that when I click everywhere in the page, the Button 2 change it's position to the bottom of the page and get the focus ... I don't know why ...

I am trying to add xfbml code in one of my child page and i realize that i have to add this line:

Is there a way to apply your own CSS tags to <li> tags when using ASP .NET 4.0 menu control? For example, say I have an external style sheet that has tags "class1", "class2", "class3", and etc. I want to apply "class1" to the first menu item. Then if menu item is selected, I want to apply "class2" and if it's not selected, "class3". I played with various 'Static' styles, but just can't get it work. I finally gave up and created my own menu control that extends ASP .NET menu control and provides my own custom rendering. This works, but I'm wondering if there is a way to get it work with built-in menu control.
