i am using jquery and passing my data to webmethod,but asp.net validation are not performing their desired action on button click,if i enter wrong data,they still post the data,how i m going to stop that???

I have a web form where i have a key field "Account #" and ive put some live validations sort of function which validates the input text against values in database and instantly displays result if the account # is valid or invalid and ive put this on "onblur" event of the textbox.
The problem i am facing is that i have a "SAVE" button also and when user inputs account number the onblur fires and validates the input then user presses tab key fill other details and change his mind and go back to account # and type some invalid values and without pressing tab clicks on SAVE button with the mouse ..darn in this case it doesnt fire ONBLUR instead if fires SAVE event...how to overcome this problem and execute onblur first in any case.
I have a page with about 8 dropdowns at the top, and a gridview at the bottom. The user will select values from the dropdowns and then I want to populate the grid. I would like not to do a postback when filling the grid, so I'd like to have an html input button which calls a web method. My web method accepts an array of parameters (i.e., the dropdown values), passes these to a stored proc and returns a List (Of myClass). I then want to bind the List to the gridview. First question: Is this possible?
Second question: I need to pass the dropdown values to the web method. So I need a javascript function which looks at each dropdown, gets the value, and puts it in an array, then passes this array to my Web method. The web method needs to know which value goes with which parameter, to feed the stored proc...so am I locking myself into a situation where the ORDER of the parameters matters, and is there a better way?
I have a simple ASP.NET web application for data collecting (a webform with two text fields and a Telerik editor, a button for submit with server side OnClick event listener attached).The event listener saves data on DB and then redirects to another page.Under development web server the application works fine.When published under IIS7 the event listener doesn't fire. The only way i found to make it work is to specify the action on the form tag:

This is the first time this happens to me, i never run into this problem before with other applications (even more complex!).
In the create aspx page i have 2 buttons. One for creating the new customer and another one for searching the customer based on the customer last name. Now the issue is when i try to search the customer based on the last name the page is calling the create action method only, not the search action method. how to call a spicific action method from the buttons. I know it can be done using ajax post back but what i am looking at is to achive this in the normal post back itself.

The code below is wrapped in an update panel but without this, the button click fires a method to retrieve the number of products. So for example, an item is selected from ddlCategory, the btnValidate is clicked and the label returns the number of products within that category.I have the following code for an update panel - I'm just not sure how to implement if effectively.

View 2 RepliesI have a link button in a repeater control. the li element is drag and droppable using jquery. when the page loads the the link button works perfectly, the jquery that is attached and the server side code both execute. when I perform a drag and drop then click on the link button it doesnt not fire. when i click it a second time it does fire. If i perform 2 or drag and drops in a row the link button doesnt fire a as many drag adn drops as i before it will fire. for example if if perform 3 drag and drops then it will take about 3 click before the events are fired.

I have a LoginView element in an Update panel and use JQuery to hide the div containing the update panel when the cancel button(Html) is clicked.
It works fine normally. However, when I enter an invalid password and there is an error message displayed, the Javascript attached to the Cancel button click stops firing.

I am new to Jquery and having trouble using ui-tab control. Thanks for helpI am able to initialize to tab 4 on page load.If I select a different tab and then click the edt button I want the new tab to remain selected. What actually happens is that tab 4. gets re-selected.

I have created a back button on my asp page. However, I would like this back button a a sinlge click to return the user to the page 2 pages before. I have tried to enter the history.back(2) but with no luck it does not work.

I have a page with a table on it with some information. I also have an asp.net button that I use to send an e-mail with the table markup. Currently, I am regenerating the table and storing it in a string and sending that as the body of the E-mail. What I would like to do instead is use JQuery's html function to grab the table markup of the page and store that in the variable to be used the e-mail body.
