View 1 RepliesI ran across a bug with the asp:RoundedCornersExtender when viewing in Firefox. Sometimes there will be a gap between the top of and the body of the panel. There are a few posts out there about using the solution
[URL] here, but the problem is my hosting account (GoDaddy) won't allow the PrettyUI.dll file to run. Is there any other solution to using the dll file? The source code is available - but I'm not familiar with how I'd go about using the source files in place of the DLL...

When using the rounded corners app in Ajax the corners are bad shaped. I have found this article from Matt Berseth using antialiasing. But I need code I can use for commercial use, do you have any good ideas for solving my problem? I need code for vb.net applications [URL]
View 3 RepliesYet another post regarding rounded upper corners on an ASP.NET 3.5 horizontal menu control. I've done a day and a half of Googling.Found this link http://forums.asp.net/p/1582204/3989473.aspx. It looked promising but didn't pan out.I got pretty close with some experimenting but it isn't quite there. Could really use some insight or a general agreement that it just can't be done within our constraints. The project is an ASP.NET 3.5 web app. For reasons that are too lengthy to go into here, theoption of using the AJAX tab container has already been examined and rejected. Due to the customer's requirements, we will need to proceed with a menu control set to horizontal display with 2 levels showing. The customer would like to see rounded edges on the top of the menu elements so they have the appearance of tabs. In our corporate-controlled environment, we have as our options the AJAX Control Toolkit, css,

I've looked everywhere and googled everything and couldn't find anything good. What I need is a class that is able to draw an image (graphics) with rounded corners (different on each corner is a plus) with a border and gradient fill.
All the examples I find have some flaws (like bad quality, missing functionality etc).
I will use this with a ashx that will draw the image and then show it to the user.
I am trying to implement charting into one of my sites, and I am having a hard time styling the border to make it transparent.
I've attached a image so you can see what it is I am talking about. I have yet to figure out what needs to be set to get rid of the white under the drop shadow ...
If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear how to get rid of this ...
I need to style the asp:Menu so the navigation buttons have rounded corners.
I have a javascript-based navigation menu (not asp.net) that uses images to simulate rounded corner navigation. However, I think I have to use an asp:Menu for my asp.net 4 website instead of a static page navigation menu.
I also plan to use Dynamic Data on multiple tabbed pages.
I'm currently building an intranet engine for a project I've got on the go at the moment, and I'd like to save myself a little time by generating header images from code where possible, however, I'd like it to match our concept image. What I'd like to achieve is below:My issue is I've not the faintest how to create that from code. I can do the absolute basics but that's about it.
I start to fall down when it comes to the gradient background and the drop shadow on the text. I can get away with positioning the text on the larger header image, so if it's not possible to generate the exact gradient I have there, then I have a work around for that, but what I really want to achieve is the text with the font and drop shadow.I'd say it's safe to assume that to use a "non-standard" font, I'd merely need to install it on the web server?
There has been a couple times now that I have tried to have a panel inside a Tab Page of the Tab Container. Each time I run into the same problem. The extenders drop shadow property wont work. The rounded property of the drop shadow extender works fine but for the life of me I cant get the drop shadow to appear. Every other time this has happened I have just given up the search for the answer and left out the drop shadows because it wasnt a big deal but this time I think it would really make my page look good so I decided it was about time i posted something about this issue. (run-on sentences are my specialty)
The following code will recreate the bug / problem I am having

I'd like to run drop shadow on Bitmap class in ASP.NET and I'd be really happy if GPU could do that. Any chance of this happening?Update: I'd like to do that on server side. It doesn't really have to be ASP.NET app, it could be console app or windows service.

I have a column, description, in a GridView which has the most text data. As that column is defined as varchar(256), it can allow a string with 256 characters in it. In displaying, I don't want that column to stretch all the way. I use ItemStyle-Width to contain it to be 40% width. I also use word-break and word-wrap as:
GridView1.Attributes.Add("style", "word-break:break-all;word-wrap:break-word");
I guess this attribute apply to the whole GridView1. I have a column called category with possible data as "LINKAGE", "CURTAIN", etc. Now "LINKAGE" is broken up into "LINKAG" and "E" with the "E" goes to next line. The word "CURTAIN" have the "IN" goes to the next line.
Now how can I apply the word-break and word-wrap to only the description column?
I have a webapp with a Masterpage and 4 or so content pages. I have created a theme folder with a style sheet. I put the <pages theme="Default" in the web.config. When I run the app all the styles in the style sheet apply and it looks great. But design view does not apply the styles from my theme. Design view does not use the web.config setting or something. How do I get design view to apply the theme styles.
View 2 RepliesI have a grid view that is bound from my code behind. If the text of a label is equal to the value of a querystring, I want to apply a specific class/style that is in my .css. View 3 RepliesI have some CSS that uses lists to create 3D buttons styles similar to the link below:
http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-5323375.html
My problem is I have buttons which are server controls and thus render html buttons.
The question is how would I rewrite my button code to use lists and hyperlinks so I can apply the CSS which has been already written?
All I am doing in my button code is within the onclick event setting a string value and calling a method by passing it that string value.
I'm after is some onclick event equivalent i can hook my code into for hyperlink controls.
I have a ModalPopupExtender with a Drop shadow. I am changing its height with Javascript (i.e. no callback to server). The drop shadow does not change height. Any work arounds? The code is something along these lines:

I have a requirement by which I need to have something like below as the background of my asp.net menu item background.
NOTE: The menu is populated by sitemapdatasource which is dynamic depending on querystring.
I was doing some googling up and found that I can apply JQuery's rounded corner functionality along with asp.net menu item.
