I've implemented the JQuery Async Treeview (in APS.NET MVC2) and it works fine, but the problem is when the user adds new nodes to a tree (via another interface), there is no way to reload the tree and reflect the new tree structure.
The only way to see the changes in the tree is to shut down the browser (IE8). Trying .empty() on the tree on every reload doesnt do anything.
Heres the page source:
[Code]....
the URL /OrganizationStructure/Browse is only called when the tree is being built the first time..i cant for the life of me get it to rebuild even when the browsers "Refresh/Reload" button is clicked.
i have an Async JQuery Treeview working, but in addition to filling out the tree - id like for every node expanded to update part of the page with information as well - is this possible? My View looks like this:
I have a gridview on a page and I wanted to refresh/reload data in the girdview based onRadiobutton or dropdown change on the Page on and I dont want to use Update Panel.I had placed the GridView in the div. How can we do bind and refresh th gridview...?
I'm trying to combine nested listviews, updatepanel and asyncfileupload, but have run into some problems. I'm having a main listview listing some projects, and in each project I have a nested listview listing some images in that project. I also have an insertitemtemplate, for inserting new images. This template contains an asyncfileupload control. Everthing is contained in one large UpdatePanel, to enable smooth editing of the images and their associated information.
Problem 1:
The fileupload is complete now, and the file uploads as I expect. In the AsyncUploadCompleted event I'm also inserting the uploaded image to the database. So far so good. But when the upload is done, I want to be able to see the newly updated record in my nested listview. But this is not the case. I'm not able to DataBind the listview in the AsyncUploadCompleted, because that throws an exception saying "The control collection cannot be modified....". So, how do I manage to do an async update of the nested listview, showing the new record?
Problem 2:
When deleting items from my nested listview, after the async update the listview shows up without any items except the InsertItem. The items are not removed, a refresh of the page brings them back. Why is the databinding lost during the async postback?
I'm using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition and I'm new to it. I want to refresh or reload a webpage everytime after the event was handled. To expound more, if I have a click eventhandler using the command button which updates a records, I want to refresh or reload the page right after the update event so that the records in my gridview control will be updated as well right after you click the update button. I need the code for that to refresh or reload the page using either c# or vb.net.
I have a web page that opens another web page in a pop up window. I would like to refresh the parent page when the submit button is clicked on the pop up page. I tried using window.opener.location.reload(); in IE7 but nothing seems to be happening.
When I create a new record by submitting an .aspx page the new record is not showing up. I have to navigate away from the page and back to it for the new data to show.
I have a gridview on which i have kept some search criteria and when i search something and edit it the page refreshes and edit is start from record 1Â
i have problem with radiobutton is in autopostback=true.
if i check rb1 page is refresh. after using update panel also i face the same problem in my code autopostback=true is compulsary beacause some controls open depending on this option..
Is there a good way to keep the session after a user clicked reload/refresh? My boss wants this functionality, and I don't really/really don't want to use a query string...
I'm working on adding a todo list to a project system and would like to have the todo creation trigger a async postback to update the database. I'd really like to host this in a usercontrol so I can drop the todo list onto a project page, task page or stand alone todo list page.
Here's what I have.User Control "TodoList.ascx" which lives in the Controls directory.
The script that sits at the top of the UserControl. You can see where I started building jsonText to postback but when that didn't work I just tried posting back an empty data variable and removed the 'string[] items' variable from the AddTodo2 method.
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { // Add the page method call as an onclick handler for the div. [code]...
I can have a control that can be used to display multiple todo lists and create a brand new todo list as well. When I click on the #divAddButton I can watch it build the postback in firebug but once it completes it runs the error portion by alerting 'error'. I can't see why.
I'd really rather have the response method live inside the user control as well. Since I'll be dropping it on several pages to keep from having to go put a method on each individual page.
I am trying to refresh an asp.net page using this command:
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="10"/>
On that page I have 2 treeviews. The refresh works ok when I just open the page, but when I click on one of the treeviews and expand it, the refresh stopps working and the page isnt being refreshed. Is there any connection to the treeview being expanded? Here is the full code of the page:
public partial class Results : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { } // Function that moves reviewed yellow card to reviewed tree protected void ycActiveTree_SelectedNodeChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { ycActiveTree.SelectedNode.Text = "Move To Active"; ycReviewedTree.PopulateNodesFromClient = false; ycReviewedTree.Nodes[ycReviewedTree.Nodes.Count - 1].ChildNodes.Add(ycActiveTree.SelectedNode.Parent); Application["reviewedTree"] = new ArrayList(); int count = ((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"]).Count; // Move all the nodes from activeTree application to reviewedTree application for (int i = 0; Application["activeTree"] != null && i < count; i++) { ((ArrayList)Application["reviewedTree"]).Add(((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"])[i]); ((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"]).RemoveAt(0); } } protected void ycActiveTree_TreeNodePopulate(object sender, TreeNodeEventArgs e) { if (Application["idList"] != null && e.Node.Depth == 0) { string[] words = ((String)Application["idList"]).Split(' '); // Yellow Card details TreeNode child = new TreeNode(""); // Go over all the yellow card details and populate the treeview for (int i = 1; i < words.Length; i++) { child.SelectAction = TreeNodeSelectAction.None; // Same yellow card if (words[i] != "*") { // End of details and start of point ip's if (words[i] == "$") { // Add the yellow card node TreeNode yellowCardNode = new TreeNode(child.Text); yellowCardNode.SelectAction = TreeNodeSelectAction.Expand; e.Node.ChildNodes.Add(yellowCardNode); child.Text = ""; } // yellow card details else { child.Text = child.Text + words[i] + " "; } } // End of yellow card else { child.PopulateOnDemand = false; child.SelectAction = TreeNodeSelectAction.None; // Populate the yellow card node e.Node.ChildNodes[e.Node.ChildNodes.Count - 1].ChildNodes.Add(child); TreeNode moveChild = new TreeNode("Move To Reviewed"); moveChild.PopulateOnDemand = false; moveChild.SelectAction = TreeNodeSelectAction.Select; e.Node.ChildNodes[e.Node.ChildNodes.Count - 1].ChildNodes.Add(moveChild); child = new TreeNode(""); Application["activeTree"] = new ArrayList(); ((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"]).Add(e.Node.ChildNodes[e.Node.ChildNodes.Count - 1]); } } } // If there arent new yellow cards else if (Application["activeTree"] != null) { // Populate the active tree for (int i = 0; i < ((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"]).Count; i++) { e.Node.ChildNodes.Add((TreeNode)((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"])[i]); } } // If there were new yellow cards and nodes that moved from reviewed tree to active tree if (Application["idList"] != null && Application["activeTree"] != null && e.Node.ChildNodes.Count != ((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"]).Count) { for (int i = e.Node.ChildNodes.Count; i < ((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"]).Count; i++) { e.Node.ChildNodes.Add((TreeNode)((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"])[i]); } } // Nullify the yellow card id's Application["idList"] = null; } protected void ycReviewedTree_SelectedNodeChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { ycActiveTree.PopulateNodesFromClient = false; ycReviewedTree.SelectedNode.Text = "Move To Reviewed"; ycActiveTree.Nodes[ycActiveTree.Nodes.Count - 1].ChildNodes.Add(ycReviewedTree.SelectedNode.Parent); int count = ((ArrayList)Application["reviewedTree"]).Count; // Move all the nodes from reviewedTree application to activeTree application for (int i = 0; Application["reviewedTree"] != null && i < count; i++) { ((ArrayList)Application["activeTree"]).Add(((ArrayList)Application["reviewedTree"])[i]); ((ArrayList)Application["reviewedTree"]).RemoveAt(0); } } protected void ycReviewedTree_TreeNodePopulate(object sender, TreeNodeEventArgs e) { if (Application["reviewedTree"] != null) { // Populate the reviewed tree for (int i = 0; i < ((ArrayList)Application["reviewedTree"]).Count; i++) { e.Node.ChildNodes.Add((TreeNode)((ArrayList)Application["reviewedTree"])[i]); } } } }
TreeView controls are a little Hairy when using them for display of things like Hierarchical data.In my case, I am using it for the display of Roots and Leaf Nodes (Child Nodes) and everything in between to get chains of selected nodes back to the Root Node (final Parent Node) in a detail list that is another database call for the Detail Sheet on the"Checked" boxes of chained branches in the TreeView.
I am using Jquery ui tabs in Ajax mode. When my page ahaha_1.aspx postbacks my main page dissapears and I am redirected to ahaha_1.aspx. How do I get it to only reload the tab and not the entire page.
i've created a upload form for 1 image. after the image is stored on the filesystem i want to refresh the partial view (which then should display the image).
After uploading a image, jQuery runs the Url.Action but doesn't render the partial view which gets returned from the Action "WebAuftragImageRefresh"...
I'm trying to use jQuery to load a PartialView. It does this fine at the first loading of the page. But then I need to be able to reload the PartialView when a save button is pressed. I get a reload, but this time the PartialView is all I get back. I.e. I don't get the PartialView loaded as a part of the main page, but rather as a page of its own. What am I doing wrong?
Here are the relevant parts of the jQuery in the View:
I wrote below code for Collapse/Expand some section. It is working fine. Finally If I click "Save" button and I am re-loading page again in asp.net. So then sections are going default Colleapse again. I need them back to expand. How can I do that?
I have a code that load hierarchy( nodes) into trew view.. by selecting different date, the hierarchy result from SP will show in the treeview..
the problem is even though I select a different date.. the result( node) of previous date is still showing in addition to the new hierarchy result...
it;s like the new result node is appended to existing node.. instead of refreshing the node and showing only the new result. How can I clear out the treeview nodes before adding new nodes from different date?
I have an app that uses masterpages. On the masterPages I have a TreeView. I would like to only refresh the ContentPlaceHolder & not the Entire masterPage when a link is clicked on the treeView.
I have placed the contentplaceholder in an Updatepanel. I would like to if possible avoid including the menu in the update panel.
I'm new to JQuery and recently started using the validation plug-in. I have a scenario where user have one of those type in your password and confirm your password textboxes. This is easilly accomplished with the "equalTo" rule how every my requirement is that once this failed the error message should be displayed and the textbox cleared. I assume there is no short and easy way todo this without writing javascript functions. point me in the right direction with a url or example.
Then a question to all you JQuery experts I've noticed "digits" and "number" to me they do the same thing? If not then explain the differance to me. Also how do I do a validation group in jQuery, similar to the asp.net validation controls assigned to a group and activated by a certain valodation enabled button?
