If I run my application as above, my screen does not dim because of my ajax call to the server seems to quick. If I place a break point on the $.ajax call then F5 to continue my screen fades.I have tried placing :

I wrote a asp.net website with Jquery. I was using it to post and get data's from the Sql Server database with Generic Handlers (.ashx). I also used Jquery Autocomplete plugin. Everything I wrote works just fine in the computer that I use. Then my company wanted to deploy the website to their server. When they run the website on that computer everything works fine including autocompletion but one part that i wrote doesn't function. I used in javascript code $.post and $.get functions and not working properly i guess... It works on my computer and i double checked the connection strings in the other computer to make sure that it is not a database problem. I couldn't find a solution. I am not allowed to give the codes in my company so i need to ask that may that be the cause of version of jquery i use? Does it vary depends on it? Because the computers that i tried to run the applications have different versions of internet explorer. Or I know it is nearly impossible but may jquery corrupt on changing of computers ?. I tried everything but I couldn't find a solution. The thing that confuses me is the autocomplete plugin of Jquery works just fine. The version of Jquery that i use is 1.2.6 and I use .NET Framework 2.0.

I have a problem I am using a date picker ... jdpicker and I also tried with UI DatePicker and I keep getting this error "..." is not a function even though intellisense detects the function.My code is as simple as using the default options such as

I have set the solution properties to usehttp://localhost/TestApp/, I set a start page as default.aspx. But when I run debug, I get a server error in application, that the resource couldn't be found.

What should I do to get the New/Open Website back?
P.S: Although I am not sure, I attribute this to initial settings I choose on the first run of Visual Studio Ultimate. I have selected some thing like General Development Settings. Will changing to Web Developer Settings solve the problem? If so, how to change the settings?
i've converted a asp.net website to a web-application.
in the website i have some custom classes (folder App_Code) which where encapsulated in a namespace.
when i try to build the web-application i get the compiler error type or namespace not found for my own classes.
e.g.
my class in App_Code/helper/ui/UIHelpers.cs:

at compile time i get the error-message type or namespace 'MYAPP' not found..
I'm looking to create a log-in feature so users can create their own profiles on the website. I don't know the first thing about setting it up... Databases, login controls, etc... This is my first foray into jquery. I wrote a function that will wrap four sides and four corners around a div, effectively placing a border around a box. I would like to pass in height, width, and a third parameter to indicate hoe much padding that particular box should get. How can I do this?

what I'm looking to do is to get a web site search function where I can enter the URLs and body text myself rather than running a spider unless the spider can handle my url querystring structure. Obviously, something automatic would be best but I'm not too choosy as long as it is free.

Searched web and asp.net forums, followed all suggestions but no luck.
What is the reason? Where is the port number "3771" cached? I remved all VS temporary files and it still uses 3771.

I have a table that loads after the intial load of the document so I can't use$(document).ready function()I have been able to manipulate every thing else using the live function, besides applying the css. Can some one tell me how to use the live and addClass functions together without using the click event. Some of the other events I tried are mouseover, mouseout, mousemove, hide(); etc. Here is the code snippet:

I would like to reposition this validation summary to the bottum of the page without causing the page to scroll with the length of the validation summary. I have a jQuery function which does this very nicely, however, I need to execute this jQuery after the validation summary is displayed and i'm not sure which event to trigger.

The code below compare the querystring of any request. But i would like to compare just with "X" request.

I want to call an action method when an textbox gets focus to get a description of the model object that field is associated with from a database.
