JQuery :: Load Div On CSS Adapter Enabled Menu Item?
Jan 13, 2011
I have a CSS Adapter enabled Menu(having sitemap data source) which I have created using this tutorial Multi Level ASP.NET Menu with CSS Friendly Control Adapters. Now I want to load a div(containing contact info) on one of this menu item's onclick event. let me know how I can do this with jquery? Where should I add the code?
I am using aspnet menu control and i want to hide the item initially on page load and show the item after an event is trigger say button lick event Can any one give me an example?
So far, I've seen (and I'm using the following) scripts to show/hide a div or other controls depending on another control in ASP.NET
$('[id$=myRadio_0]').click(function() { $('[id$=myDiv]').show(); }); $('[id$=myRadio_1]').click(function() { $('[id$=myDiv]').hide(); }); and of course, my div in html like <div id="myDiv" runat="server" visible="false">
and that works fine when the user selects either option of the radiobuttonlist. However, when I assign that radiobuttonlist a value of 1 or yes on my Page_Load on code behind, that isn't (and probably can't be) caught by jQuery, and my div remains invisible even though the control has a value of Yes/1. So, do I need to set the visibility of that div from code behind, or is there a way in jQuery to force a scan of these dependencies after i've set the values for the main controls in code behind?
For .NET 2.x/3.x there exists a CSS-Friendly Adapter on CodePlex that emits markup for an ASP.NET Menu Control as an ul.
The .NET 4.0 Menu control will also emit an ul, but the CSS class names are different from those emitted by the CSS-Friendly Adapter 1.0 on CodePlex.
In the interests of having a single version of CSS for .NET 2/3/4 sites, I want to create a version of the CSS-Friendly menu adapter that emits the same markup as the .NET 4.0 Menu control.
In the menu adapter class, How can i use base controls (i.e. asp.net menu ) render contents which generates tables rather than adpter.rendercontents which does generates Span with Hyperlinks?
i have a menu which is collapses as a default. This is done by following query.
[Code]....
Now, the problem is, whenever i click on any menu item by expanding the menu, the item page opens but the menu collapses again. I want to let the menu remain as expanded although a menu item is clicked. i.e. menu shouldn't refresh when a menu item is clicked.
I am using frames in my webpage.in one of the frames i have a menu control whose items are database driven.when click on the menu item, i want another page to be displayed in other frame.
now i want to pass the the selected menu item text to the other page using session variable which is in the menu item click event method.but the thing is when i click on the menu item, the click event is not firing.
is there any better way to pass the selected menu item text to the other page?
I am working with asp.net 2.0 I have 1 problem Regarding Menu Control I used menu control in Master page. Now I have to find out Menu Item from Menu control depending on Condition. how to do that on server and Client side.
I have an asp.net menu in which i have to let some nodes visible or invisible base on some logic.I know i can find value by item but i wnated to FindItemByValue of my asp.net menu.Could it be possible?
I'm looking for a good jQuery or CSS, or combo, library to enance my left side menu in an an intranet application. I don't like the 'hover only' expand/collapse style of the ASP.NET Menu control on its own, and I don't like the 'icon-click only' expand/collapse style of the TreeView control on its own.
I plan on trying the CSS Control Adapters, to render the menu with some self-respect, i.e. as nested <ul> or <ol> elements instead of the usual orgy of tables. Beyond that, I need something to give a bit of style and menulike behaviour to these nested lists, and I would prefer a jQuery plugin for this. Which should I use?
I am trying to implement dropline menu using asp.net menu control. I found JQuery dropline code @ Dynamic Drive & currently using CssFriendly Adapters to get neet CSS, but i am unable to implement it as menu control renders its own css names.
[ServiceContract(Namespace = "")] [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] public class Aja { [WebGet] [OperationContract] public string Hi() { return "hi world!"; } }
and I'm trying to do this: $.get('Aja.svc?method=Hi', function(d) { alert(d.d); }); In firebug I see that the result is HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. I use .net 3.5, jquery 1.4.4
I'm using the Accordion control for the first time. I'm using an example I found on the web, however, this example doesn't show how to reference an item in a menu. Here is my code so far:
[Code]....
In the highlighted code, I was wondering how you reference each separate item. These items don't appear to be part of a collection rather separated by a break. How would I reference them in VB.Net code?
I have this menu which has z-index of 600.I also use autocomplete, and I set the zIndex option to 700, I also tried setting the z-index in the css file, but no matter what i do, the ul list the autocomplete script generats always has z-index of 1.
this is what i see when i "inspect element" using chrome(the results ul):
[Code]....
no css alteration will help there, since its written into the style attribute of the ul element, and the zIndex option of autocomplete seems to do nothing also.for now, i can handle it by simply setting the z-index of the menu to 0, but thats a realy dirty workaround since i do want to control the z index of the autocomplete results ul.
