I need to be able provide a table on web page with one row which has a two drop down list and one textbox and the user's should be able to add any number of rows they want. I need to to this using jquery so that i can avoid post back. Is this possible to be done in Jquery and if it is possible i was looking for some example which will be like a pointer
View 1 Repliesi've run into small problem, here's the thing: i've got a dropdown list (ddlist1) that i am populating from a database, that works fine. However, depending on the option selected here, i need to populate another dropdown list (ddlist2). for example, if on ddlist1 i select option 1, on ddlist 2 i should get a list of options related to option 1 from ddlist1. If i select option 2, on ddlist 2 i should get a list of options related to option 2 from ddlist 1. and so forth. this information with which ddlist needs to be filled, comed from another database. o how can i go about this? m not sure yet how to code the second ddlist.

For each object from the database a ListView will generate a dropdownlist.
I also have a DataPager on my page and this is where the problem occurs.
Each object generated from the database has a field that may look like this example.: 1,2,3.
In my code now I´m trying to split this string of comma character and add new items to my dropdownlist.
This works as long as I do not have DataPager on. But if I choose to view an x number of pages at the time when the page loads, I have value in the dropdownlists, only on my first page.

I also have a RadDatePicker control that will allow the user to select a specific date to overwrite the default date. So I have a number of dropdown select list controls populated as part of a repeater. They might contain overlapping data, meaning that the first d d list control will have selections:

Second one:

and so on.
So what I would like to do is to srart removing the duplicate items from the reset of drop down controls once the user starts selecting those. I intend to use jQuery for this.

View 5 RepliesI would like to alter the query that is run, depending on the selection made by the user in a drop down list on the same page. Would this best be done using a partial page update (AJAX)? Ideally it would be great to have the textbox result change quickly once the drop-down list value has changed, without a full page postback. I would like to change the SQL query to a completely different query if the user selects an option different to the default (page_load value) in the drop-down list. I would then like the newly retrieved result to be displayed in the textbox as before.
