Load The Information In Grid View From SQL?
Apr 5, 2010I need to load the database values into the grid view by checking the attribute "id".
If the id value which I entered is equal to database, then it'll load in the grid view.

Aug 10, 2010I am currently useing forms authenticantion with users set up with the Membership API and I have there other information like first name and work phone number stored useing the Profiles API. I want to create a company directory useing a grid view to display every user and there profile information. I can use Membership.GetAllUsers() or ProfileManager.GetAllProfiles() but it does not list any of the custom profile information like name and phone. What is the best way to get a grid view to show all the user information?

When user like to update the datasource he will select one row from gridview then in selected indexchanged event i would display the selected row values beneath the form under the grid , Then user will update the contents displayed from grid and click an update button which is outside the grid . After updating the displayed row , i got to get the values of the next row in the grid and display them for next updation , i'e if users maually selects row 3 from grid then he can update the values using the update button and then on update click itself i'll have to display next row contents of row 4 and this process could go on .

Control's information is not stored in the View State (for things like selected value and .text etc.):Control state,introduced in ASP.NET version 2.0, is similar to view state but functionally independent of view state.However,control state cannot be disabled. C# - Store Log Information From Load-balanced Servers?
Feb 7, 2011We have 2 asp.net web servers working through the LoadBalancer that are accessible externally. Earlier, for all applications we did logging into DB. Now we have 1 more app that doesn't work with DB, it is used for 'messages transferring'. On TEST environment it does logging into files into a local folder.
If we deploy it "as is" to PROD we will have 2 separate log files... that is not very good idea. Connecting to DB just for logging doesn't seem reasonable too...
Possible solution could be store log file into a shared folder somewhere on another server.
Security :: IE 6 - Information Causing Partial Load Of The Page?
Mar 11, 2010I have a website where different comapny and users can login. Till now I have not seen any issue on IE 6. But in case of one account, when try to login the website, users are getting security information "This page contains both secure and non-secure items.
I can reproduce the same easily for the same customer but not happening for any other customer. I have "ReportViewer" control (gets rendered as iframes) on the page.
In this scenario, whether user selectes "Yes" or "No" button, the home page with charts loads 30% and other controls remains invisible. Though I see same out in "View source" for this and other customers. We dont change anything much then the data and charts for the users. We use https for this website and has few links with "http" in page. But then this is same for all the users, but it happens only in case of one customer.
