MVC :: Silverlight App Error On Production Machine?

i get the below error when i run the site on our production, the silverlight apps are in a .ascx view.

On one of my pages I display a datetime (from a database) and it is formatted correctly as a UK date time (dd-mm-yyyy) on my local machine. However when I deploy it to a server it reverts to American format (mm-dd-yyyy). Does anyone have any idea of when this might be happening?This might be outside the scope of stackoverflow

We have staging server and production server for website. We will move the changes from the staging server to the Production server through the FTP.
Since we have the product release for every 3 months. So, we need to redirect to the latest version in the Production server IIS. Is it possible to access the Production server IIS and redirect the web site link from staging server ?

Here is my problem: I have created a login form on my local machine. I have tested it on the local machine and it works fine. But when I push it to production it doesn't work.
I set-up the web config file so that the system uses the production database even from my local machine. I used the Web > AspNet Configuration tool in Visual Web developer to add a user to the production database. I used Sql studio management studio to confirm that the user was in the production database and not just on a local database. I have removed all references to the local database. I even deleted the entire app_data folder on my machine so that there was no chance that I am using a local database.
To create the login, I dragged a login component onto my Login.aspx page from the toolbar in visual web developer.
Why can I log in just fine on my local machine, but when push everything to production and I try to log in as that user I get the error message "Your login attempt was not successful"

I have around 100 rdl report files...what i have found in google is -> open RS Admin site upload each report...doing this manually takes a lot of time... We don't want to use Target report server url method and clicking deploy option to deploy the reports or report project onto the report server...because we are not provided with such production server url information...!! In client perspective...We just give the reports as a rar file...now client will have to extract the report files...and what should be the next step...!! Is there anyway to deploy or upload all the reports at a time...!!

we are planning to use ASP .NET and Oracle Database, however, I don't know what are the requirements for developement/Production machine besides .NET Framework and Visual Studio 2008 Express edition.I am confused between various providers.
Developement:
.NET Framework/VS 2008 Express.
Production Server.
Win2003 Server with IIS
please correct me if I am missing any other elements required to connect to a remote DB Server or Local one. If any provider is needed how do you deploy it at production server?

I'm using localReport to print PDF (SQL REPORTVIEWER). It works fine on localhost. When I move the application to Production (64 bits windows 2008) it gives me an error. (see below)
I put the renderedbytes in a Session in USERCONTROL and I do window.open('Program1.aspx')...
In page load of Program1.aspx I try to retrieve the Session variable and process.... I think this statement cause the error "Response.BinaryWrite (...) etc".
It works on my local pc (Vista 32bits)...

I have an ASP.NET web application that has the following settings in the web.config file:

(The actual names are different, obviously.) I am not a member of the real "Valid Site Users" group which is why I am given explicit access.I am able to access the site without a problem while developing and debugging locally; however, I get a 401 (Unauthorized Access) error when I deploy the site to a server. The only way to gain access is to remove the <deny> element from the configuration, which is not an acceptable option.I'm certain the solution is something simple and I am just overlooking

When I try to run my ASP.NET app from my development environment I get the following error message: Compiler Error Message: CS1502: The best overloaded method match for 'mmars.Printing.printFunctions.SetPrintSummaryProperties(mmars.contextInfo, ref mmars.Printing.printObjSummary)' has some invalid arguments.
When I publish and run on our production server I don't get this error.It seems to compile fine when I build from the build menu (in fact if I change the second argument of the bolded function call below, i get a compiler error in visual studio), but now i've suddenly started getting this error message at runtime. So another question I have in addition to getting rid of the error is why is the .NET development server even trying to do JIT compilation on my project if it is already compiled into a DLL?

i have developed a production site in godaddy server.Now i want to display a custom error page if there is any error occurs in the site.i have made following changes in the web.config file ,

We have had some problems with using a unmanaged DLL file written in Delphi. (Unable to load dll - not found...)The following code solved the problem on my local machine:

I encrypted my web.config file and I copied this file to the production server. But I get an error. But without encrypting - it's ok. I used:

I am trying to call a service from a silverlight application, but I am getting the following error.
Uncaught Error: Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application An exception occurred during the operation, making the result invalid. Check InnerException for exception details.
This works fine locally. I don't know if it make any sense, but locally if I add the url of the webservice on a browser, I am getting the details page of the service. In the other hand, on production server, it prompts me to download it.

I am dynamically generating script code to return transaction data to Google Analytics using their ecommerce script. The code that generates the script is fully tested and functional on my development machine and when I view the page code the script, along with any values that were passed to it, can be seen above the </form> tag. Happy days, or so I thought. For some reason the code is not being generated when I test it in a live, hosted environment. I cant figure out why this is the case as the code is quite simple. I simply generate the script code and register it on the client side (see code below)

Whats really interesting is that if I move the Analytics script creator code before the code that sends the emails, the script is generated and can be seen when I view the page code. If I do this, however, the emails do not get sent. If I lay the code out as per the code I have inserted in this post, the emails get sent but the script code is not placed on the page.. I have an application that uploads an Excel .xls file to the file system, opens the file with an oledbconnection object using the .open() method on the object instance. The upload and writing of the file to the file system works fine but I get an error when trying to open the file on our production server only. The application works fine on two other servers (development and testing servers).

I have an MVC 2 web application which uses models auto-generated by LINQ. When I add a Silverlight project to my solution, generating a new strongly-typed View fails with the message:
Compiling transformation: The type or namespace name 'Data' does not exist in the namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference?). I understand this is most likely because Silverlight does not access the System.Data namespace (at least, I can't add the reference to my Silverlight app). However, it's not really important - I'm just trying to generate an .aspx View at this stage, not a Silverlight View.
Is there any way to get this template generation to work, or do I have to create my Silverlight project outside the solution and build it separately? I was kind of hoping to take advtage of WCF RIA and some of the other goodies one gets from including the Silverlight app within the main solution... anybody got a fix?

I have an ASP.NET site running on the Visual Studio Development Server. I also have a silverlight project in my solution. I get the error:
Error: Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application
Code: 2104
Category: InitializeError
Message: Could not download the Silverlight application. Check web server settings
After some research, it seems I need to do the equivalent of setting the MIME type in HTTP Headers in IIS for VSDS. Is this right?
If so, how do I do this? If not how do I get my silverlight to run in my ASP.NET solution using Visual Studio Development Server?

I'm trying to add back a webservice (localhost) after deletion. And suddenly I'm getting the above error.[:(]
The error's suggested tip is to install IIS but I did not install IIS since then in my machine because VS2010 built-in server do just fine. Should I install IIS?
