I am using usercontrol to populate a web part. The user control consists of ajax tab and in it there is another user control which is a gridview. I add the tabs - My top level usercontrol to the web part. Now when user makes a selection in the gridview (this does a postback) I would like to maintain the scroll position. I tried adding - this.Page.MaintainScrollPositon = true to the page load event of my tabs (priamary) user control. But it does not seem to work. Is there any other way to maintain position in a web part.
I have a .Net Web page that refreshes every few minutes, and all of this works fine. However, a user has made a request for some enhancements. There are two requests, which I am little unsure how to do
1) On my page are scrollable panels, what the user would like is for the position of the scrollbars to maintain their scrollable position during postbacks, because the scrollbars return to the top of panel during each post back. How do I keep the scrollable position of the panels - I have only 3 panels to content with
2) Inside each panel, are dynamically added controls, and these controls have an image button with some javascript which hides or shows a div tag. What the user wants is to maintain the show or hide of a div tag on each of these dynamically added controls during post back. How do I do this?

I have a page that I am adding user controls to the bottom of the controls each postback. The User Control has a textbox in it and the focus needs to be on this newly created control textbox each time. It all works almost perfectly however when there are too many controls to fit on the page, because I set the focus to the textbox the bottom of the page is set to the textbox that has focus not the very bottom of the page. I have a submit button below this which ends up below the page limit. How can I set focus to a textbox but still scroll to the every bottom of the page to show the submit button.

Being new to ASP.NET I have run into trouble building my own Whack-a-mole program. I think my problem comes from using Buttons, which by themselves send post backs to the server, making the software unusable. The looks are in place, making new buttons show up in the grid, in different places by random. However, when a button is pushed - the score doesn't change (which I feel is strange).
Not so strange is that the Button doesn't work since it sends post back to the server - reloading the UpdatePanel. I think I should use a different controller like the CheckBox and style it hard using CSS (which isn't a problem). Is this the correct way to go, or should I make use of JavaScript AJAX instead?
Note to self: This technique shouldn't be used in a public application since it put too much unwanted pressure on the web server.
how can I get back to the same position of a page on postback. It always seems to get to the top of the page I've tried using ' maintainScrollPositionOnPostBack = "true" ' but its not working.

[Code]....
GetScollerPosition function invoke in an image click event. But it's not work as I expected, the SetScrollPostion always find the value of hidden fields as zero.
I have got the gridview to populate from my own datatable and there are quite a few results in the table. As a result I have a scroll bar on my gridview.
If there is only a few results the gridview works perfectly, however; When I select a row further down in the scroll it selects and highlights but refreshes the view to the top of the gridview.

I have an asp.net c# web forms application with a formview. When I click "Edit" on the formview, I have set the focus to a textbox. This works just fine.
The problem is that the textbox is at the bottom of the screen. I want to set focus on the textbox and also have it move (scroll) to the top of the screen. This will allow the user to see the entire form, withhout having to scroll initially.
How can I modify the code to set the textbox (pol_numTextBox) at the top of the page on DataBound once the focus is set?
Is there anyway to define the screen position after a postback?
Specificaly i'm referring to the vertical scroll position. Some of my controls are set to AutoPostback = True. Depending on their selected value it then reveals a hidden ASP.Net panel and some more questions.
Problem is that with each post back the page refreshes at the top and i have to scroll back down to my question. I can use the .focus() control, that's fine, but it doesn't work as perfectly as i'd like. Is there any way of defining how many lines or pixels the screen is already scrolled to upon postback?
I have a gridview that putted in ASP.NET Panel. both of panel and Gridview are in an UpdatePanel. there is a column in gridview that Causes Partial PostBacks. i want to Maintain Panel Scroll position on those postbacks.
I have an asp.net listbox with 15 rows and auto postback when the selected item is changed. This works as expected but, when the form is re-loaded, IE scrolls the list so that the last selected item is now the top visible item in the list. This produces a confusing/jumpy effect for the users and makes the listbox more difficult to use than it needs to be.
Is there any way to get the list scroll position to stay as it was before the postback? i.e, if I select an item from the middle of the listbox, the listbox is scrolled to the same point after postback.
