Mobiles :: Some Long String Preceding ReturnUrl - Log In Again?
Feb 23, 2011
In my app, I use the built-in membership for managing security. If I log into my app using my iPad or iPhone, I see some long string preceding the ReturnUrl. Here's an example of what it looks like: [URL] At that point, I'm at where I wanted to go but I'm logged off. If I try to go to another secure page, I have to log in again. And the cycle starts all over again.
I am trying to redirect the user to login page with ReturnUrl and with querystring parameters which are already in the url there. But it is getting only first querystring parameter and not others. here is the code:Response.Redirect("~/login.aspx?ReturnUrl="+Request.RawUrl);it is showing correct in login.aspx after redirect but not returning as per querystring parametersI ave also tried other methods e.g.:
I would like to read from a long string and just output the first 3 paragraphs of the string. How do I achieve this? I wanted to use this code to show (n) number of words but I have since changed to paragraphs.
is there a way to define a single long string with line breaks within the string definition code?
my string is somethign like this:
string sql = "SELECT a.bg_user_56 AS Project, a.bg_user_60 AS SubSystem, a.BG_USER_81 AS AssignedToUserName, a.bg_responsible AS AssignedTo, FROM mytable"
My SelectCommand string in my asp:SqlDataSource is very long. Is there a way I can chop it up into different strings on several newlines to make it more readable?
I have a large(ish) text-box on my page that needs to hold a website URL. The text-box is reasonably wide however most URLs will not fit in on a single line. I want the website address to wrap a single line like this:
[URL]
However what my textbox is doing is this:
[URL]
Does anyone know how to automatically wrap a string that does not contain line feeds / white space? (Yes - Wrap is set to true!)
In my project one of scenario demands passing querystring values more than 256 chars @ a time ...I tried it but after 256 chars its trunacting all other chars. workaround or various ways for passing more than 256 chars through querystring.
I have a htmlarea (Jquery plugin) where I need to accept longer strings than 2048 which seams to be the limit. I don't have a clue where to look. It's an MVC app and here are the relevant code:
HTML:
<div id="PageTextDialog" title="Ändra texten på sidan" style="display: none"> <% Using Html.BeginForm %> <%: Html.TextAreaFor(Function(model) model.PageText, 30, 30, New With {.style = "width:800px;"})%> <% End Using%> <button id="SavePageText">Spara</button> </div>
JScript:
$(function () { function SaveText(pageID, htmlText) { var retvalue = false; $.ajax({ async: false,
i am working on the mobile application, and i want to read binary file .. its just contains the string.. e.g "hi Wel come". I have opened that file using filestream and try to read that file using binaryReader.. but it didn't read that file correctly. if i use
binaryreader.readstring();
it throws an exception of endOfstream. when i stored that stream into array of byte and read it through response.binaryWrite.... like
I know that it is basic questions, but I am stuck here.
I have TableOne have fields: USERNAME, PID, GID, TID, SID, NEWSID. I need to write query string to check if those value is already in the table. If not, insert those value to the table.
I am trying to display a local .html file in a web page. The file uses javascript to display some information about my phone. In the executable, I am retrieving two values out of the registry. I would like to pass these values in a query string (I think that is the correct terminology). Something like file://\Program Files\TestTest.html?type=newtype. I have attempted this with using webbrowser.navigate, but that is giving an unhandled exception when it tries to pass the URI string. Obviously, I have no experience with this and am using the wrong method. There has to be a simple way to open a new webpage in a form and pass it this type of string.
how to implement such a function? I have been attempting to implement this with Visual C# using the .net CF for Windows Mobile.
I've developed a web application to accept video file uploads and then pass them to a backend service on an external server. The application runs without error on the visual studio debugging webserver, but once on a production iis 6 or 7 server, yields a timeout error at about a consistent amount of time into handling a large upload. Specifically, it errors in the middle of transferring the video file to the external server, once the application has successfully received it from the client. I'm aware of several timeouts to be configured related to the problem, and have done so. The application's web config has been tested with one or both of the following settings
<system.web> <httpRuntime executionTimeout="9999999" maxRequestLength="2048000" /> </system.web> and <configuration> <location path="default.aspx"> (the page at issue that's timing out) <system.web> <httpRuntime executionTimeout="9999999" maxRequestLength="2048000" /> </system.web> </location> </configuration>
And within the initialization of the webrequest made to the external server to send the video received from the client browser:
So with the execution time limits on both the webform as a whole and the connection made to the external server, I'm at a loss for what timeout is left unconfigured, or how to determine such, when I continue to get the following error: Unexpected error executing Brightcove Upload:...........................
I am develping an application that integrates with an RFID kit. The problem is, the kit comes with an .cs class that accepts data stored in a byte array however, each information stored in the array respresents an int. I wanted to store String information in each array but, my research suggest that a String itself can be converted to a byte array and not a byte....here the code from the .cs class:
MVC has a method LogOn in AccountControllers. It has parameter returnUrl to redirect after login. I used this method to redirect to login page and back to previous page after logined by returnUrl parameter. My code in form view
I want to remove "returnurl=/blabla" from address bar when a user want to access to a login required page. Because I'm trying to redirect the user to a static page after login to do some selections.
wanted to know what is the easiest way to interface a mobile phone device with an online system. I have literally NO knowledge in this domain. However, I am brainstorming on possibility of an online application that will allow me to backup my data in nokia set 3110 such as my Address book in the application and restore it. This I want to achieve without connecting my phone to any PC. I am thinking on some way to achieve this by leveraging mobile phone line only. I beleive it may require my application to connect to mobile phone through mobile phone network. Currently my mobile phone line subscriber is offering Address Book backup/ restore service with some charge. I want to see if I can replicate similar features. I would really appreciate if you can give a direction to my random thoughts. If anything is not clear then please feel free to inquire. I look forward to your kind response.
Is it possible clear ReturnUrl from the server? I have a login page where the user logouts and I want to direct them to a specific page but when ReturnURL is set it overrides my redirect page.
Update:Ideally, I will only redirect a user who has just logged out versus someone who has bookmarked OR I will redirect regardless in special cases. So these are the cases:A link or bookmark -> should redirect to specified page in most case.A logout that has a returnurl -> should NOT redirect to the page,A special case -> should always redirect to my special case, i.e when a user needs to see something important
Is there a way to remove the returnurl from the logout/login status control?
For a testproject I use two Login pages. I order to do that I use a dispatcher page:
Dispatcher:
[Code]....
I then just redirect in the dispatcher to the real login-page according to the ReturnUrl. So far so good. The only problem I have is that I don't get redirected to the ReturnUrl once I'm logged in... Of course I add the ReturnUrl to the forwarded Login-Page (/Admin/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=...).
I'm building my asp.net 4.0 website with url routing. It works great, except that I have stumbled upon one problem. The problem is that when a logged in user is on one of the non-public pages and gets loged out, the return url is set to the page he or she was previously visiting. When logging in again, the ReturnUrl is non routed url (something like login.aspx?ReturnUrl=somethingsomething). This poses a problem for some of my pages where I have a default value stored in the route; it simply doesn't get picked up with the non routed url of the ReturnUrl.The result is a broken page (404).
