View 8 RepliesI got an application to support, it's an asp.net web project, on the 1.1 dot.net framework.It's all ok, with the application, when it runs on web brownsers, and when I try run it from inside a blackberry mobile phone it runs ok too, except when I try to execute an Response.Redirect("some_page_of_my_app.aspx").It always goes to the default page (login page), and ask for login again, and I never can do a redirect.
View 1 RepliesI'm working on a web page that will be viewed on a blackberry (to start with). On the page I need to be able to add calendar events to the user's blackberry calendar or add new contact records to their contact list.
I've found the api on RIM's site that would allow this [URL] but I have no how to incorporate it into an asp.net page.
I assume I need to write inline javascript but I don't know how to import/include the API libraries that are required. Does anyone know how to do this or, better yet, have some sample code? If this is even possible, I think I just need to get past this hurdle and I'll be on my way (until I trip over the next one ).
surprisingly postbackurl is not working in blackberry!. Using javascript i am posting hidden field data to another server. so can't use code behind postback.

I tried to use the asp.net fileupload control for uploading a picture or music file, from blackberry device to server. But, What happened is ; the file is uploaded , ie, the file is created with 0 bytes in it. That is, file is actually not uploaded. Since blackberry browser doesn't support other fileformats, the device contains only .png & .m4a fileformats in its samples. I have used these sample in blackberry for uploading. The same has occured in the case of .m4a files also... Why is it so...? One more thing... The blackberry browser which I am refering here is the blackberry browser simulator, bold 9700.

I set the Width Site is looking good on Blackberry of my <DIV> tags to be about 300px, for the most part, to account for the reduced screen size. However, the IPhone Safari browser renders this to the screen extremely small, and I can only assume that it's automatically reducing the size of the html accordingly to fit the device. Again, Blackberry does not do this.

1/ I have web service created in php using http. (ex: http://abc.com/allservices/api.php?Task=getData&Email=ab1@abc.com&Password=1234)
2/ if i call that url i can get response in xml foramt.
3/ if I type this url in browser adddress bar with changes the http to https. the browser ask me to continue with this url. If i click this i can get the same response in xml format with certification error.
4/ once again i do the same step, this time the browser don't ask me to continue. I don't why.
5/ From my Windows Phone 7 application is working fine when I use http.
6/ If i change the url http to https I want to get the same xml.
7/ But i get only Server Not Found exception .
8/ Is there any posible way can I acess the web server using Https with Certification error..
We have a web application running which having around 100 users logged in, All clients are connected to server using websync. I was having requirement for keeping the session always live, so I am regenerating session when it is about to expire.
But after 3 or 4 days, I found cpu reached to 100% and application locked, then we need to restart the server to make it working.

I've built a ASP.NET webservice and I'm trying to access it from a Blackberry. I've been testing it out with multiple devices and the simulator and it works fine, but there's just the one Blackberry 9000 (It's not the model, I've tried it out with another Blackberry 9000), and it's stuck waiting for a response from the server. Relevant section of the code that accesses this -

we need to extract the data from Facebook API for 50k companies per day. When we are running applitation, we are getting error like Application request limit reached. Is there any way around to increase the request limit. I am thining may be dynamcally changing the IP address, resume thread for some time, etc.

when using a BlackBerry Storm clicking the submit button causes the device to just reload the page. If I remove this code the Storm browser submits the page just fine. I need to disable the button when the browser is capable of doing so but do not want to affect browsers that are not JavaScript capable.
wanted to know what is the easiest way to interface a mobile phone device with an online system. I have literally NO knowledge in this domain. However, I am brainstorming on possibility of an online application that will allow me to backup my data in nokia set 3110 such as my Address book in the application and restore it. This I want to achieve without connecting my phone to any PC. I am thinking on some way to achieve this by leveraging mobile phone line only. I beleive it may require my application to connect to mobile phone through mobile phone network. Currently my mobile phone line subscriber is offering Address Book backup/ restore service with some charge. I want to see if I can replicate similar features.
