View 2 RepliesI'm working on a web page that will be viewed on a blackberry (to start with). On the page I need to be able to add calendar events to the user's blackberry calendar or add new contact records to their contact list.
I've found the api on RIM's site that would allow this [URL] but I have no how to incorporate it into an asp.net page.
I assume I need to write inline javascript but I don't know how to import/include the API libraries that are required. Does anyone know how to do this or, better yet, have some sample code? If this is even possible, I think I just need to get past this hurdle and I'll be on my way (until I trip over the next one ).

My problem is that the last few link buttons does not function correctly (in this case ID 11 and 12) when I click on them. I am thinking that it could be because of the manual rows being added and then throwing out the links for the other rows, but I honestly don't know what is causing it.
So if you look at my example clicking on the link buttons for IDs 1 through 10 they all redirect correctly as for example detailsPage.aspx?q=4 when I click on ID 4, but when I click on link button 11 or 12 it just reloads the page removes with totals removed and some blank rows in between.

I tried to use the asp.net fileupload control for uploading a picture or music file, from blackberry device to server. But, What happened is ; the file is uploaded , ie, the file is created with 0 bytes in it. That is, file is actually not uploaded. Since blackberry browser doesn't support other fileformats, the device contains only .png & .m4a fileformats in its samples. I have used these sample in blackberry for uploading. The same has occured in the case of .m4a files also... Why is it so...? One more thing... The blackberry browser which I am refering here is the blackberry browser simulator, bold 9700.

I set the Width Site is looking good on Blackberry of my <DIV> tags to be about 300px, for the most part, to account for the reduced screen size. However, the IPhone Safari browser renders this to the screen extremely small, and I can only assume that it's automatically reducing the size of the html accordingly to fit the device. Again, Blackberry does not do this.

I tried putting a new grid view in with the same results.
I have website home page which my client can view well on his blackberry mobile phone but I have link buttons on that page which redirect the users to other pages ..just Response.Redirect ............simple code.... but when he clicks on the link, it requests for enabling javascript..I do that but the home page just does a postback. Links are not working on cellphone........... on regular website they are working fine.
View 2 RepliesI am developing my first website, the functionality is done, now i am trying to "make it look better", but i have no experience with html.
In my project i have a masterpage.master which includes a header.ascx and all of my pages have the same master page set. In my header i have the links to all of my pages so no matter where i am, i can chose to go on which page i want. I attach the source i have in my header.ascx.
Now, what i would like is when i click the link and the wanted page is loaded, the link status to be changed to bold. Until now, when i click is made bold, but i think because on click is loaded the requested page, which has the same masterpage, so the same header, the link status is changed back to original.
How do you handle this? Not put the header in master page, is no use of header...my logic ...is this something hard to accomplish? Where did i went wrong?

I would like to know why somethimes DefaultValue in properties window is displayed in bold text and somethimes in normal weight text? What i know is that the Value in Properties Window should display bold only if the Value is different than DefaultValue.
So i have a situation, where i need to set DefaultValue's and i'm successfully setting the boolean Value but failing in Integer value...

I want to create a function that will make a treeView out of link buttons. Then I want to tie all the link buttons to one click event. So each time the user does somethingI will append the users name to the current linkbuttons if the user clicks one of the link buttons a click event is raised and I can extract the text of that button.
Here is an example:
Nick
...user does something...now the link string says
Nick > Jeff
...user does something...now the link string says
Nick > Jeff > Charlie
and so on.
Now I want to give the user the ability to click one of these link buttons (there are 3 in this example). If the user clicks one of the buttons a click event is raised and I can extract the name out of the text of teh link button.
i do have a form. inside specific asp:textboxes are "secured" by RequiredFieldValidator and RegularExpressionValidator running. in another div-element i do have buttons, which are expected to load different pages of my website. the problem is: when i click on either of these buttons it is not working as my validation-controls are fired prior to the onclick-button-events.
