Open Newpage With Loading GIF?

I want to open a new asp.net page with loading image on it. In that page am having huge amount of data which is taking 2-3min to load. so before this i want to show the Loading image on the page as soon as the page is opened.I tried with the HTML code by making the data div invisible and added a image right below the body tag in visible state. but the image appearing 2-3 min after the page opened. I wint to show the image right from the page opened.for this i tired searching the blogs, and tried with all the things but in vain.

I have a problem with trying to make some redirections from an old HTML page which was reading some parameters from the URL to feed some flash components to a new ASPX page.
The issue is that the page URLs are of the form: [URL] and that needs to redirect to something like: [URL]
There are several different values following the # but in essence they are all the same html page. Other problem is that the values are not even passed in a query string.
I'm using Windows Server 2008, IIS 7 (not R2) and I have installed the URL Rewrite module but so far my rules have not worked.

I have update panel on the page to avoid postback and placed a dropdownlist control within that update panel. DrodownList is filled with Category names and also it's autopostback set to True.
Now whenever dropdownlist index change's on select, untill page loads complete data it should show mesage as "Loading.... in center and middle of the page and background should become bit transparent". And when page load completely with data then that background and message should get disappear.

(i.e) like when ever IE progress bar get loading i want to show my gif loading ... after IE progress bar finish its loading, my gif loading image should disappear .

We have installed a web site written by others which is compiled with Visual Studio 2008 and hosted in Windows server 2008 R2.
The IIS connection timeout is set to 120 seconds. But for some pages, the first page loading fails with HTTP 404 error but sequential refresh can bring the page up. The same problem happens for some images which fail to load in web pages. We are not very sure it is network related issue or hosting issue.

I have an asp.net page that contains an Iframe embedded with some data and a ImageButton. On ImageButton click event (server side) I have Response.Redirct:
Response.Redirect("results.aspx");
This always open the results.aspx in iframe. I want that results.aspx should always open in the parent window. I tried the following till now but none worked:
Response.Redirect("<script language='javascript'>self.parent.location='results.aspx';</script>");
Response.Redirect("javascript:parent.change_parent_url('results.aspx');");
..and also tried the options from [URL]

In my application users upload their word document and user has been given an option to preivew the uploaded document. Inorder to preview the document i put the following code in my page_load event
div1.InnerHtml = "<iframe name='iframe4' src='DocumentUuploaded/report.doc ' target='iframe4' frameborder='no' height='500' scrolling='no' width='800'></iframe>";
The problem is it is asking Do you want to open or save this file. How can i get rid of this dialouge box

When the user clicks on "OPEN" button, It should open up that(.txt) file which is on the file server in ReadWrite Mode (like in notepad) without any Access Issues.
Or simply has to be openend as temporary READONLY .Txt File. So that the user can close after viewing it.

but I would not open the page immediately, but when given a click anywhere on the page, an example of what I do is [URL] need to click anywhere on the page to open a separate new page (pop up)
and if you still go back to the site and give again a click anywhere on the page no longer loads the new page, I don't know if I'm being clear.

When i try to open a csv file from my asp.net 3.5 app by clicking on the link provided, a file download dialog box appears.When i click on the open button from there , i get this eror

Wjy am i getting this error? I am trying to open a file and it complains about file not found in the Temporary Internet Folder.I tried deleting the temp intrnet files.Dint work.I have IE 7 on xp professional sp3. Also i am streaming the file from the application. This happens only to some files and the rest of the files , i can open .

I'm using ASP.NET 3.5 Webforms. Basically, when an user causes any sort of postback (button click, switch tab, change dropdown, etc), I want the loading gif to pop up and then end right after the page completely loads. I have an ASP.NET solution (UpdateProgress) but that gets messy if you use more than one UpdatePanel. I'm not great with JQuery or Javascript, but I figured someone must have solved this problem before.

Css file is on the Root in the Content/CSS/Site.css folder. Now I am using T4MVC.tt for strongly typed names like
<link href="<%: Links.Content.CSS.Site_css %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
Page is not rendering CSS at all. But if I remove "" on href like
<link href=<%: Links.Content.CSS.Site_css %> rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
everything is working fine but I don't get any Intelli for T4MVC which I don't want.

I'm building a few webpages in my webapplication which use a webservice.While communicating with the webservice, which can take more than a few seconds, I want to display a loading screen. Something like the jquery dialog, where the background is disabled and a loading image appears in the middel of the webpage.
